Australian company.

Why on Earth such a successful Australian company are allowing their subsidiary's call centre to be outsourced overseas beggars me.

After navigating the overly complex phone tree, the representative of iPrimus (located somewhere in Asia, with a poor command of the English language) claimed there was nothing they could do about the cost increase. When I mentioned that the aforementioned family member was considering changing providers, this representative couldn't care less.

As a result, this family member requested to change provider - to a not only an Australian owned company but one with a call centre staffed in Australia by competent locals. iPrimus were very unhelpful in allowing the porting of the local phone number - requiring the new provider to work some voodoo which they cheerfully performed.

I would ask any readers here to strongly consider all aspects of their experience. Support the little Aussie guy who actually cares about customer service.

P.s. said family member is now paying less for her bundle than the iPrimus proposal.

Appaling service and no accountability for repeated failures – For the simple task of changing my parent's address, I recently experienced the horror of iPrimus sales and technical 'support'. No matter how times I clearly articulated the details of what needed to be done and when, iPrimus managed to repeatedly ruin everything. They disconnected his home phone number too early, lied about an NBN connection… Read more

being active in an empty apartment and stated billing him, forced me to do all manner of absurd 'tests' to prove their nonsense claims, then they didn't de-activated the old account or phone number, double billed him TWICE and blamed me or Santa Claus for everything.

I cancelled the account and switched to another ISP to be rid of them.

The iPrimus of years gone by that I once loved is long gone, and all that's left is a hollow shell of what seems like incompetence and negligence.

Excellent Product – Have used iPrimus for years, very reliable and on the rare occasion there is a problem, always fixed in good time. Dropouts very rare, speed is excellent. I have the 25Mbps. Show details

A bit faster at times would be great – Had several drop outs at times and after contacting I primus , hopefully it is fixed. With dealing with staff I was pleased with their help. I have also attached a Speed test as requested. Show details

Absolutely horrible – Internet continusly drops in and out. Bills are up to date yet I've been told my internet will be cut off for 2 weeks. I definitely don't recommend. I will be going with a new provider asap!!! Show details

Absolutely terrible – I can’t get even a decent signal to play a game online for more then five minutes. My phone signal is constantly dropping out. I complain and they do nothing yet except me to continue paying full price for the worst service possible. Iprimus is garbage  Show details

This connection suits my needs with no dropouts – I've been with IPrimus for a few years and have never had any serious problems. Any minor problems have been sorted without difficulty. The staff have been very efficient and knowlegable in attending to my requests. Show details

our nbn I had to use a prepaid phone for calls and internet when my husband was at work. This cost me a fortune, over $60 for calls and internet. Compensation would be nice! I use Speedtest constantly to test our speeds so I do have some evidence of the eratic connection. We’ve been with iPrimus since the 80s or 90s so long term customers.

Great if it is working correctly – It can be reliable but we do have drop outs. We have on regular times been disconnected from the internet and I can't understand why this is happening. I do try to pay the bills on time but some times I forget and pay the next day. Show details

NBN outage – My internet was not working which is something that very rarely happens. I rang tech support at iprimus and they were able to let me know that the NBN had an unexpected outage in my area and then iprimus were able to tell me the approximate time that my NBN would be up and working. Iprimus could have told me to ring NBN but they did not hesitate to do it for me. Iprimus's tech support is why I have stayed with them for the last 18 years.  Show details

Love it – No I have not had any dropouts or experienced any other problems so far. I am very happy with both the internet and the fetch box. I couldn't set up my fetch but the staff member on the phone talked me through it. Show details

I am really pleased with the service and, even more so with the support offered – I have been more than satisfied with the overall service. My internet connection has always been available meaning I have never suffered any dropouts. fills my needs – lost internet connection once, for a day then it was fixed. Called iprimus and they were to send someone around but the problem fixed overnight. Staff were helpful organising some one to see to the problem thought it was not required in the end. Need better online help yourself for notiying when a problem resolves itself.i Show details

Poor connection/poor customer service – I had continual connection issues, it kept dropping out and at times it would be for over a day. My next door neighbour was with a different provider with no connection issues whatsoever. When I opted out of contract was told they would call me the following day to organise last date with them but I got no call just woke up with my internet disconnected  Show details
