Tells lies over the phone and email – Their advertising and descriptions dont make any sense. It states clearly that you can buy additional data blocks then goes on to contradict this in the fair use policy. I called and told them I wanted to cancel without a cancellation fee due to this false advertising and was told the fee would be waivered completely. Imagine my suprise when the… Read more
next day some imbecile named [Name Removed] informed me that the "billing team" had decided to only waiver half the cancellation fee. To further compound my frustration [Name Removed] started having a back and forth arguement over email while claiming that I was "told" that this would be the case. Absolute disgrace honestly.
Don't sign with this company – Beware! They give you a month free at the start but take it back at the end! Charge for 30 notice even when not on contract and no longer connected stating that they have to pay the nbn for your service which no longer exists. Very kind of them to pay your full fee to the nbn. Crooked as a dog's hind leg! Show details
Patchy service that at times does not hold up to working from home needs – If I could score 0 stars I would. Service is patchy and often drops out. Does not hold up to requirements for working from home. Service is terrible with no follow through on actions meaning that you will need to chase them for any resolution to issues. I would not recommend to anyone. Show details

super service – Im very happy with the product from ip star I haven't had any problems with the service. I spoke to Sandy and was impressed by his explanation and was put at ease as he informed me of the accumulated data I have . Thank you for all the good will you are giving us in these difficult times. Kind Regards Tommy Richmond Show details · 1
I would strongly advise not to use this company – If there was a score lower than 1 ipStar would score it. Took 16 weeks to get installed (in the end I had to contact Gavin Williams who heads up rural satellite for NBN Co to get it done.) This was on the advice of one of ipStars leadership team - ie they said the only way to get it installed was for me to target NBN Co on social media. Once… Read more
installed it dosn’t work. I’ve spent @ 20 hours on the phone to them but despite their great intentions and the fact they seem like nice people they seem unable to actually make any positive progress on any issue. I would not recommend under any circumstances.

disappointed – Connection and speed have been wonderful. I was disappointed when I was sold a plan that didn't have enough data for me despite me explaining I steam you tube and netflix and am doing a several internet based courses. I used 50% of my data in 2 days. I have had to wait a month to increase my data. Would have been nice to have been heard when I first signed up. I wont be recommending Ipstar. Show details

Great Service, Thank You – Fast reliable service and install at an area which is pretty isolated, so far great service and support from IPSTAR, just waiting for the account set up and first Bill, Thank you Show details · 1
Definitely an improvement over ADSL – Transfer to Sky Muster Plus provided an improved VOI service with less dropout. New account website more informative and user friendly. Phone support has been very helpful, talking through account settings. Only concern is the inability to access extra data if limit is reached. Show details · 1
Great service – The service is reliable with great connection and good speed for satellite, haven’t had many issues but when had a few the support team helped when contact and offer support and help to fix the issue. Above all great service and great support team. Would happily recommend ipstar satellite for people who cannot access normal nbn due to where to they live. Keep up the great work. Show details · 1
Has been good – I have found everything to be great. Friendly installer friendly and helpful phone consultants. Follow up from iPstar has been great and informative. Would recommend them to any person to use Show details · 1
Helpful personal service – We took out the service about two months ago and very pleased so far. The ease of arranging a plan, and the personal service - helpful, efficient and friendly - each time I rang have been excellent. The only negative is that I feel that their additional data blocks are a little over-priced, compared with another provider we have used in the past at another property. Show details · 1
Ipstar are legends! – I have been with Ipstar now for several years, and they have always been awesome! I called them today with a billing question and they sorted that out, then they asked if there was anything else they could help with, and I said "Well, actually...." and then they sorted out a technical issue that had just recently occurred! They are always friendly and very helpful, and patient with internet luddites like myself! Highly recommended. Show details · 1
Absolute con! – Moved from another service which had reliable speed. However, that service provider didn't provide the GB package we needed. Moved to Ipstar. Immediately we suffered very poor upload and download speeds, way lower than we were used to. Rang and had customer support look at the service and miraculously it was always ok when they were 'on the… Read more
line'. Afterwards of course rapidly reduced to the same v. average service in the evenings, late afternoons at weekends and so poor most of the evenings it was unusuable and we have used our iphones as hotspots for service. The phone service talked us through ' have you changed your cables' etc... the usual. Brand new cables twice. We reboot often... still so poor, it is useless. It simply comes down to over selling high volume packages to a high number of users, probably all trying to do the same as us in the evenings. Absolutely no use to us having the higher volume package as we use so much less than we used to do. Switching back to another supplier now that the packages have improved to include unmetered forced software updates. Goodbye Ipstar!

Terrible service. Poor connection and terrible speeds – Terrible service. Poor connection and terrible speeds. Was with iiNet and service and speeds were great! Changed to ipstar and have regretted it ever since. Will be changing provider if it doesn't improve dramatically.

fixing the internet – Sandy helped me fix the connection today with my router. He was very efficient as it was quite a process. Our connection is usually excellent but mostly is to do with the router and not the modem. There has been a few dropouts lately but you expect that with satellite. Ipstar is an excellent provider. Always very helpful and sorting problems out is never too hard. Show details · 1
No that fast at all compared to other providers we have used – Since swapping ipstar we have noticed our speed has noticeably dropped off and takes forever to load things. The connection drops in and out at times way more often than when we were with another provider. Conducting speed tests on our devices tells us we are not getting anywhere near the speeds promised, but to prove this you need a laptop or… Read more
computer connected directly to the nbn box to run the tests. Unfortunately we have neither of these devices as we all have smart phones, tablets, smart tv ect. So we are stuck with this slow speed until we can swap to mobile data plans

Without it we'd be isolated!Excellent – I've experienced no issues what so ever. Always found the company polite, positive and helpful. Excellent service. The connection even in really bad weather is remarkable considering how windy it gets up in the hills where I live. Thankyou for being available. Show details · 1
Quality customer service – We left iiNet due to the amount of Data we can procure from IPstar. We chose the Satellite NBN 25 pack and paid the extra to achieve the guaranteed minimum usage of 5mbps and up to the maximum 25mbps. Unfortunately, even the 5mps is infrequently achieved. During some periods during a business week we do achieve the higher end of the spectrum.… Read more · 2
However, in mornings from 7 am to 9 am it is less than .5mbps, and from 3 pm-midnight and weekends, we are lucky to push 1mbps. I had contacted IPstar concerning this and was asked to run all sorts of tests that only they accept. The point is, is that it is irrelevant whether I jump through hoops and take time out that I do not have to prove a point that they may or may not accept when it is unacceptable to our needs and especially when we had a perfectly adequate service from iiNet. I can only presume that they have diluted the quality for the quantity which is not compatible with our needs. I wish this had turned out better and that I could give them good reviews. My advice in all of this would be please do not use them or at least to not tie yourself into a contract no matter how good the salesperson sounds; that is their job and need to perform to keep it.
21/9/2019 The initial reason for the above post was due to being prompted by IPSTAR to rate their service, which, I did admire any company willing to undergo public scrutiny to ensure a good service.
Within 48hrs, I was contacted by IPstar as they wanted to find a way to call and assist with our problem. After this initial correspondence, we received a call from a brilliant tech who helped and guided us through rebooting and resetting up the router (which was the problem). He was excellent in his communication skills; he understood the problem talked us through it with confidence, he spoke clearly, kindly and concisely.
We are grateful for the call and the assistance and can wholeheartedly recommend IPSTAR as a forward-thinking company who not only wants to provide a good service but acts upon it. We have given the service 24hrs to see how it performs, and we are pleased to say we are delighted with the outcome.
Thank you IPSTAR and thank you to the technician who called us who I will leave nameless as he may not wish to be named.
Better than none but not perfect – I have been experiencing difficulty accessing my work server from home. It drops out a lot. It is a little slow to load streaming but once loaded it is OK. The internet and facebook etc are a little slow as well. Show details

Slow. And pay 2x much than NBN wireless and only for 300Gb where wireless is unlimited. It's overpriced and poor signal – Slow. Expensive. Unreliable. I hate that I m stuck with an unreliable Service that has off peak during hours when people are sleeping! I don't understand how it can cost half if not less for unlimited wireless NBN! We do not have a choice so we are stuck using this stupid Service! Show details

Terrible customer service – We’ve been loyal customers for a number of years but due to their terrible customer service we will be finding another provider. Surprisingly fast for country broadband – Lag time is still an issue, Satellite I suppose, company sympathetic but what can you do ??? Connection is reliable enough. Accounting system is a little disjointed at times. Cannot seem to be able to down grade a service on line easily even when not on a plan. Show details · 1
Charging for cancelled service – Nearly impossible to contact Ipstar. Received an arrears bill even though I had direct debit set up. Then internet was disabled. Charged late fees on a paid account! – I have had endless problems with the upstar satellite service.
