story doesn’t have a happy ending. Our bed was loaded into JLs delivery van with no wrapping or packaging whatsoever & was delivered with a badly scratched headboard. We asked JL to make this good & they offered us $40. We told them we had been quoted $400 for the repair, asked them if they could suggest any other repairer who might be cheaper & told them they had an obligation to pay the total amount. They countered by offering $250 & the complaint handler said this was as much as they were permitted to give. I was so fed up, & didn’t have the time to spend months arguing the toss, I needed to use the bed for visitors, so I agreed to settle but told them I was very disappointed. We are now $150 down in order to get the headboard restored. I will be avoiding JL in future. Such a shame as their store staff gave great service.

Our experience in James Lane Kotara was stress free with Rhonda answering our many questions & explaining the special that was on. We visited the store many times. Even taking carpet samples to the store & laying next to the bed to help us make the final carpet decision. When I had to ring back a few days later to change delivery Rhonda remembered us & was her usual helpful self. Over all a great experience that I will be happily telling others.

Complete stuff up – I tried to order a rug on line, but there was no "add to basket" so I called Kotara store who said they don't know how to do "online orders I have to call head office". Called head office, I was told thats incorrect they do know how to do online orders and they transfered my call through to Tuggerah James Lane store who placed order for me… Read more

(supposedly). I called both Tuggerah and Kotara stores 5 times over 3 weeks and each time I got different stories about the delivery of my rug. Called customer service again who said wrong code was put through and rug was never ordered, so have to re-order it will take another 1-2 weeks. ABSOLUTLEY WORSED SERVICE EVER!!! No one takes responsibility for anything, they all pass the blame, every excuse was used, 'new staff' 'sick staff' 'staff have surgery and mind was not on the job'!! Now as it stands I've paid for a rug that has not turned up and have been told so many stories I don't know what to believe. All staff I have dealt with have no customer service experience nor do they care about doing their job efficiently they just fob you off!! I will never shop at James Lane again and I will tell all my family and friends of this disgraceful service!!

Excellent service and products – We bought a large couch from James lane many years ago and the service and delivery was excellent. The couch is still in great condition 5 years later. We visited again today as we lost a part (battery pack) and the staff member (Rhonda) helped us and gave us a spare pack for FREE. I'm never buying furniture from anywhere else! Show details ·  1

Perfect at every stage – Very happy with my purchases of dining table, console and Tv unit from the Clemence range. Great quality, stylish and well built at very affordable prices. As good as the furniture was the delightful, helpful in store staff and the delivery team who we had do all the assembly. Black Dining Chairs – Over time I have purchased approx 6 dining room chairs. I am very happy with the customer service at James Lane.
