Pickup up location in outer suburb not ideal – Customer service was terrific. It was unfortunate that their stock is now held in St Marys for pickup and avoid quite a hefty delivery charge. Last time I bought at Moore Park I was able to collect my goods there.

Great lounge, so glad I bought it! Delivered in 2 days – I bought the 3 seater chaise and ottoman, ‘Haven California’ in the ivory colour without seeing it in person. I am so glad I did. It lived up to my high expectations and looks and feels amazing. Rebooking me yet AGAIN for the following week. I’ve missed four meetings in total and it has been an incredibly unprofessional & disappointing experience. a) 1.5 Sofa/Chair (DARLING) requested, invoice printed and item was 'slip chair' I queried this and indicated to the large sofa chair display and was assured that what it was called. When I got home I double checked on the website and, indeed, it was not called the 'slip chair'. I called the store and this was corrected and was available and delivered the following week (together with matching ottoman).
b) COMO Armless Sofa x2 : staff asked me to run my card through for the deposit. When I looked at the invoice the deep version had been billed, not the standard version we had discussed. Advised a refund ($410) had to be processed by Head Office and could not be dealt with immediately. I was, however, in a position to transfer the deposit across my items but the paperwork was a bit messy for my liking. Correct item was invoiced/ordered and delivery for this special item confirmed as 8-10 weeks and clarified as end July early August. This delivery date was key to my decision to purchase this sofa.
Mid July I rang the store for a better estimated delivery and they confirmed it was in dock and I would hear something soon.
19th July the store rang to say that they did not have enough stock for my delivery and it would be 14 weeks (October) before it was available. I reminded them I had had spoken with someone a week earlier who had confirmed it was in dock. The Store Manager managed to piece together my order items and confirmed said if I paid the balance today the stock would be assured and could be delivered Friday. (From previous order I had to remind her that they only deliver Saturday to my area). On Friday dispatch called to say there was no stock for me but was going to investigate further given my conversation with the store on Wednesday. Dispatch did not get back to me so on Monday 25th I requested a full refund ($3620) due to their inability to deliver the products in a timely manner. I was advised the someone from Head Office would call me by Wednesday for my card details. No call arrived so the following Monday (1/8) I rang Head Office who indicated that there had been no request to refund from the store. I then rang the store to find that the staff member 'forgotten' but he assured me someone from Head Office would call and I would have the refund on Friday. By Thursday no-one had called so I rang Head Office and left my refund details, I followed this with a call on Friday to see if it had been processed, the response was that 'it looked like it had gone' but would take a couple of days to show up. UNBELIEVABLY late Saturday afternoon I had a message from them asking for my card number!!! My call to them today was met with contempt and I again wait for someone to call me for my credit card details.
PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS & ITS POOR PRACTISES. THERE ARE MANY OTHER OPTIONS WHERE STAFF ARE WELL TRAINED, NEW STAFF SUPERVISED AND HEAD OFFICE SYSTEMS IN PLACE TO RESOLVE ISSUES IN A TIMELY MANNER.

The following week came and still no update, so I called again and they told me unfortunately there has been a delay and it would come the next week.
I waited until the following week, and no update. This time I called and the head office of James Lane said that the lounge was actually on back order and the person whom I previously contacted shouldn't have promised me that it was coming this week. They said that if I still wanted it, they had stock in Queensland and it could arrive in 2-3 weeks. They told me to ask the store I purchased the lounge in, which is the one in Moore Park.
I gave them a call to find out what was happening to my order. And this time the person told me that it was not only in back order, but the model of the couch that I ordered was now discontinued. And that there was nothing she could do about it. If I wanted the couch I would need to get the one that is available on the floor and that maybe they will give me a better price for it. The experience was terrible so I unfortunately had to ask for a refund.
I rarely write any reviews, but this is such a terrible experience that I wouldn't want anyone else to go through the same thing. Waste of time, 2 months of waiting and no result.

Disorganised and unprofessional staff including NSW Area Manager – I was given a quote in store at Moore Park for the 5 piece Riley Muse sofa. Upon delivery of the couch the middle piece 'Armless Base' was missing. said that is not good enough as my decision to buy the coach was based on the original quote for the fully assembled couch as seen on display in the store. Albeit an error, he misrepresented the total price.
Upon sending the head office an email expressing my disappointment with this situation (along with the ridiculous attempt at assembly with covers that I paid an additional $100 for- see pics - covers not put on properly/symmetrically nor secured with velco on any piece), I was called by the area manager. I asked to be compensated in some way, noting that I didn't expect the missing part for free. The area manager insinuated that I was lying about the quote ...."its he said, she said" he told me, and there was nothing they could do other than refund the $100 assembly given I hadnt been overcharged for any items. I reminded him that the store worker even admitted to his error so I wasn't lying and their customer service is terrible given I chose to buy the sofa based on the price he erroneously quoted. The area manager offered an additional $20 discount justifying this lack of compensation because I had bought the sofa at the 40% discounted boxing day sale price which had now ended. Iv'e gone on their website today and that sale price is still available. So basically $20 discount for massively miss-quoting the price of this sofa. Moronic Area Manager! I've had to fork out an extra $600 to need to wait 5 days until I have a fully assembled couch. Would never buy from them again!!
