My daughter and I visited your Helensvale store today to look at a specific lounge for my daughter. personable and professional. The lounge was not in stock and Gina went above and beyond to assist us in buying the lounge on the display floor. A huge thanks for her kindness. I witnessed negative comments from an impatient customer and I really feel these lovely ladies were doing their absolute best and could have benefited with additional staff. Helensvale Home World is notoriously busy on Sundays. We look forward to receiving the lounge, it’s beautiful ! My daughter has purchased furniture previously from your store and is a big fan.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PUBLIC RELATIONS – POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PUBLIC RELATIONS We purchased 6 Balmoral chairs which we picked up from store on 30.01.25. When we arrived home we found that the chairs were unsuitable - they were too small for our dining table and flimsy in structure. The salesperson informed us that they would support 120kg but they were a bit wobbly under my 83kg… Read more
weight. Within an hour of picking up chairs we contacted the store and told them of our predicament and asked if we could return the chairs and swap them for a credit to purchase a mattress instead. We were referred to an online claim process on their website to request a refund / exchange. Our application was ignored for almost 3 days when I sent a follow up email stressing that we did not want a refund but to exchange goods. We immediately received a curt reply to contact the store. When we contacted the store we were finally informed that the company does not do exchanges or refunds. My complaint is that at no time did anyone at the Helensvale store or the Head Office claims department have the moral compass or the intestinal fortitude to tell us that a refund or exchange was not possible. Instead we were shunted from one to the other in the hope that we would finally go away. I did later find a statement in small font at the bottom of a web page stating that they do not do returns on furniture. I purchased in store not online and I should have been informed of returns policy at the time of purchase. Just to show how stupid and out of touch this company is they actually sent us a link for an online review. You just read it!!

Amazing service – I had issues with my online order from the Black Friday sales after 3 months and no delivery and minimum communication the manager Tanya offered to assist and sorted this out for me and was so very helpful. Her service was outstanding! Linda was also very helpful and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I decided to go in store.

First time but return customer – Went in to look for a new sofa, was greeted by Narelle, she was kind and gave some good advice about options I was weighing up. Brought on floor stock, as returning home noticed one of the legs was spilt from the manufacturer screw in place. I immediately called JL helensvale who swiftly offered to compensate me. feel like we had a caring friend to help us, we bought the perfect dining table and chairs and lounge as well as throws, coffee tables etc . The list could go on, but Tanya and Mellie were wonderful helps and most items were in stock and could be delivered within a week or so. Which was so much different to others furniture store who were quoting 10-12 weeks plus a 3week blowout window.
Their follow up was also great and we changed our mind on a couple of small elements on our overall order and nothing was a problem.
A very easy change policy( unlike another store who put us through hoops to change something after1 hour of ordering)

Great Service – I keep going back to James Lane not only because they have a good mix of stock, the staff are always helpful and happy. My last purchase was a couple of pictures and upon putting them in the car I noticed one was damaged. No issue, the staff memeber apologised and said will source a new on. Poor After Sales Service – We purchased a buffet and Wine Rack in October 2021. There was a quality issue with the top on the buffet and after 3 attempts the situation has still not been rectified.
