My experience was ‘get the sale, say whatever is needed to get the sale and then hang the customer out to dry’ – I ordered a number of items from Maroochydore and was told all would be available by the end of Feb/early March. After checking on progress I was told some items would now be available in May. I was told two different stories by two different staff, with the first not really telling me why the lengthy change. At no point was May ever mentioned and the notes in my order reflect Feb/March delivery. I asked about the second delivery and was told I now have to pay a second delivery charge. Why???

It’s pretty easy to be deceptive but at some stage the truth comes out. This is the first time I’ve shopped at James Lane and it will be the last.

Awful customer service – I’ve had TWO separate incorrect orders processed by this store, which were both then handled so unprofessionally. Never have I ever been spoken to like I was from Tony, the supposed area manager for QLD. Who made that abruptly clear, once I mentioned of speaking to head office regarding my concern. quite clear my feedback would just go back to him, and likely be redundant. This store has completely messed up two separate orders and the customer service that followed was appalling. Unnecessarily rude and disrespectful. It’s unfortunate the staff are clearly lacking in customer service and common courtesy at this store, as the products are nice.

Appalling service – I brought a couch from James Lane and it took ages for it to arrive in Australia which was not a problem however when it came to delivering my couch the service was absolutely disgusting. interested in helping me find out the eta of my delivery and told me that he had other customers in store to help. Hanging up on both myself and partner without actually helping us. As I had not received my couch, I still very much was a customer but they had taken their money and couldn’t give a rats. He also did this to my partner who was also starting to become annoyed at their lack of care. However then upon delivery they boys just dumped it into my living room and did not assemble it. Which I had paid for! Then when I went to dispute this to James Lane today they were rude and couldn’t care. Hanging up before I even finished, eventually they agreed to refund me. But this is the most appalling service I have ever received from a company. To think this one should have a good reputation, I am highly disappointed and will never buy through them again.

Dave is an absolute legend!! – I have never had better customer service in my life, I’ve been in the store a few times as I’m buying furniture for my new house and each time Dave has been a huge help every step of the way. Great service, product quality and delivery – Bought a couch over the phone as delivery charge was coming up a little expensive online. Was told that the website may do that and delivery was actually half the price to my postcode. Service over the phone was fantastic and delivery was quick to our rural area. Great service and excellent product – ALMOST didn’t buy the small table we’d been looking at, until the shop assistant came and spoke to us. She explained the sturdy construction of the product and offered a reduced price (which we hadn’t noticed previously). We bought it and it’s perfect. Great store, great staff, great product – Found just what I wanted on sale! It was right in front of me in the store. The sales team couldn’t have been friendlier, my item was in stock and delivery was arranged on a day to suit me. My new 2 seater leather electric recliner in cream arrived on time and was set up and workings checked by the delivery team quickly and efficiently (this did cost a small fee but it was absolutely worth it). Show details ·  1
