Jamie Oliver Hard Anodised Questions & Answers
VerifiedMPN: 477884So I like to reuse things and I just bought 12 inch Jamie Oliver hard anodized frying pan.. the red center piece has gone and it has some scratch marks.. however it was $4 and I needed something to try my induction element out.. being a fan of stainless steel none would work.. this on the other hand has been the best frypan I've used.. the perfect egg and the perfect pikelet
I purchased Jamie Olivers hard Anodised Induction cookware and have had them sitting in my store room for several years not knowing what to do with them. The 5 piece set that I bought all have warped and do not make contact with the glass top of my induction glass. What is the warranty on these items? I see that the range has been discontinued, is that because of this problem with the cookware?
What warranty is given on Jamie Oliver frypans?
My Jamie Oliver teflon fry pan has started peeling around the rivets and is no longer super non stick. Very disappointing. Can the pan still be used if it's peeling? Is the peel harmful?
I wouldn't continue using. Worst pans I ever bought mine went in the bin after a year. Can't believe Jamie puts his name to this.
I'd bet anything Jamie wouldn't be caught dead using them at home. It's a celebrity name on a piece of rubbish that is known and proven to be bad for your health. Those little bits of Teflon that are missing ended up in your food.
I’ve just inboxed my new JO HA wok. Super excited. I’ve just noticed however, that there are a couple of “tacky” glue like spots on the inside of the base. Thinking that they were a bit of sticky packing residue, I have tried to take them off gently with my thumb nail, but they won’t budge. Too scared to try anything sharper as I don’t want to scratch the non stick base. Any ideas?

Hi I have a Tefal Jamie Oliver pan and the inside is starting to peel off. Where can I send it for repairs and why is this happening?
Not sure Sangitha. Just know that it's a crap product.
Hi, It has happened to me twice. I love my frypans but this shouldn't be happening for the price. I just keep returning them to where I purchased them from.
What can you cook in them and what do you do in them
My new s/s tefal won't give up black when wiping with oil as advised. It's also 'tinny'. Not happy Jamie Oliver
My pan has a soft rubbery underside on tge handle can thus go in the oven?
No it's quite ok just not over 190C
I have Jamie Oliver's frying pans just bit over 12mths and tefal is peeling off all around when handles screw in not lil bits but big flakes of it in side the pan
Hi. Can you use the stainless seel tefal Jamie Oliver range on a ceramic cooktop?
Can you put them in the oven? I seen cooks on tv with the round one I use and they do.
Tia.
Yes, you can put them in the oven but you can only go up to a certain temperature. I can not find my instruction book but I am sure you can find it online.
I have a Jamie Oliver 12inch frying pan which I thought would last me a life time, well I was wrong. Every time I use it, it just seems to stick and all of the Teflon is worn. Not happy as it costed me around $200 I have a collection of Jamie Oliver cookware and so far this is the worst. I don't have a receipt, is there anything at all you can do about this as I didn't think this would happen.
I would look up the company and give them a call, and go from there. Look up Jamie Oliver cookware.

Hi
I received the Jamie Oliver frypan and pot set for an engagement present 2.5 years ago within a year of using the set the underside of all my pots and fry pans has warn away and has chipped all round the edges. Also the frypans non stick coating is now dark in colour and not so non stick. As I received these as a gift I looked after them wanting them to last they look like I have taken to them with a grinder and a hammer why is this ? Also how do I return them with no receipt?
Regards
Loren

I forgot to turn my cooktop off resulting in my Jamie Oliver fry pan became too hot, with croutons burning and the surface of the pan left with a mottled oily look. I've tried cleaning it with detergent and water to no avail. So I've tried laundry powder and hot water which someone on the internet has suggested. I have had some success and some of the mottled surface has gone. Will the pan be safe to use or will the chemicals of the laundry powder affect the Tefal and make the pan unsafe for food?
Hello. Thank you for your email. As long as you was the pan properly with dish washing detergent it should be fine to use. We have an alternative cleaning method in case you come into trouble in the future.
You can fill up the pan with water and put it on the stove on a low heat. You can add a dish washing tablet into the pan and let it completely dissolve.
Once the pan is cool, empty the water and gently clean the surface with warm soapy water.
If we can ever be of any assistance please don't hesitate to contact us.

The real answer is throw it away. Teflon becomes particularly toxic the higher the temperature it reaches.
can i use the Tefal reserve collection on gas stove top?
Hi Mich, I have gas hotplates and its fine to use. I have only had my pan about a month and read all the good and bad reviews, such as the non-stick not lasting. I found a really cheap deal so thought it was worth trying and I only wash it by hand with hot soapy water. I'm very happy with the pan so far. Hope this helps. Cheers, Narelle
thanks so much - can now start using them

I have a Jamie Oliver Proffesional Series by Tefal 30cm Stainless Steel Stir Fry, on the bottom of the inside of the pan the surface is pitted and coming off. We avoid using this pan. It says on the tag it has a Lifetime Guarantee, would we be able to take it to a retailer and get a new one?
We took our Jamie Oliver frying pans back to the purchase store, but they referred us to the maker for warranty requests. We had to contact Telfal directly and go through their sales department. But the purchase shop had all the contact details etc that we could use. It takes a while to get sorted and we had 2 gruelling interviews over the phone about how we cook and use our frying pan. They really made us out to be idiots or basically treated us the ones who were in the wrong. Eventually after persisting and standing our ground we sent the broken fry pans back and got replacement ones..... Which were still useless. Hope that answers your question. Don't give up. they will give you the run around, but persist.
I have had my Tefal Jamie Oliver set for less than 2 years and they have just started to peel around the handle screws. I brought from Brisco NZ they should have advidised "Only Good For Less Than 2 Years" so disappointed that such a well known chef would put his name to such a product.
