Construction delay – We are building our home in Austral. It’s a 4 bed, 2.5 bath and 2 garage. The land was registered at the time of purchase. In fact that was the very reason we chose Jandson Homes cause we wanted to move by at least Aug-Sept 2020 which is what we highlighted to the sales consultant. However the construction did not start till September 2020. We were not provided regular updates of where our building is at and in fact we had to follow up Jandson Homes for it. When we met our site supervisor in September, he did not even have the full details of our colour selection which we did in May 2020. We will finally be having our tile selection next week. We’ve just received a timeline that the practical completion of our house will be in July 2021. I understand there is Covid but we were only shut down for a very short while in March-April. This is our first build and is proving to be quite stressful. I will update further regarding the quality of the build as we progress.

Slow to fix faults – Brought new in jordan springs in 12/2019 then it rained in 2/2020 and had major leaks inside still waiting for the repairs to be completed. Very slow always come up with excuses coming up to our 6 months warranty to fix defects make you wonder how long to fix these. Show details

calculated. Julie went extra miles for us in helping clarify several things and negotiate with the previous land owner. There were some uncertainties on our part during the financial settlement but Julie and Karen were flexible enough to go through it with us. During the design phase, Kristy and Graham were very very helpful & informative. Kristy has an eye of details and very good taste of design. Rob, the site Supervisor was very approachable, helpful and informative too. We came almost every weekend when the house was built and it was very satisfying. The issues we raised were quickly addressed and handover was done smoothly. The only thing that we think could be improved is inclusion of extra soil removal and basic site preps for landscape works, these bit us with unbudgeted costs. We have been living in the house for over a year now. Yes, minor issues were found, but overall, we love it, the quality of the works and materials are good. Maintenance team are also helpful. We also learnt that most people who work in Jandson have been with the business for a very long time. Well done Jandson for building such a strong team. Will definitely build with you and team again for our next one.

strolling through homeworld, we came across Jandson homes, we took a look through the display home, and while the display home was not what we were looking for, we spoke to a lovely woman named Helen who advised there was a house in Jordan springs that was within our budget and already built. We met her there and after 15 minutes of inspecting the house we decided that the house was everything we were looking for. We paid a deposit and began the purchase process.

Dealing with Helen and Jandson homes has been a pleasure, any issue (which were minimal) were instantly fixed, and I truly felt looked after while dealing with Helen.

We are super happy we decided to walk into that display home that day, despite not having heard of Jandson before, as we have now been living in our new home for almost a month and loving it.

Would recommend them to anyone looking at buying.

Helen still regularly checks in with me regarding the house and I am confident that when we submit the 6 month maintenance report any issues will be rectified shortly.

I like the way she presented – honest to the customer and didn’t try to trick you into an agreement or anything. She even referred me to a good solicitor at a very reasonable price.

I bought a House & Land package. My land has just settled, a bit delay but it wasn’t Jandson Homes’ fault. The whole process was smooth, Julie and other staff were very responsive, especially Julie. Yes, she always replied to my email/broker’s email within hours. They started to prepare the construction even before my construction loan has formally approved. Very impressive! The construction team has sent me email every week to keep me updated. I just got an email saying their contractor needs to meet me for an electrical plan next week. Will come back and update on the process as well as the quality of the construction. But so far, I am happy with the team and will definitely refer Julie Hoang to my family and friends. The land registration was delayed for a couple of months, out of Jandson Homes’ control, but then the building process was a great experience. They were very responsive, and sent us the updates on a weekly basis. Denise was the lady looking after our construction admin works. She responded to our questions and enquiries almost on the same day; quite impressive! We have made some last minutes changes to the floor plan, and they didn’t even charge us any extra admin fees, unlike other home builders that we have experienced.

Our house is almost done now, handover in 3 weeks’ time. Not sure if there would be any issues in the future with the house, but until now, we are very happy with the whole process. Looking at buying another investment house & land package from them later this year.

Will never build with them again – A building company that takes no accountability for their mistakes. build our home at a good price. We were then supported by the Construction Manager Scott who was exceptional in helping us with navigating through various options and inclusions in our build. Again Scott also provided fantastic advice on costs of extras and different options to reduce our overall costs. I really found the level of flexibility that Jandson provided at a reasonable cost was very impressive for a project home builder. Our build was then coordinated by a range of staff and I found our Client Coordinator Theresa and our building supervisor Robert to be outstanding in their support and responsiveness to our requests. Building a home is always a challenge and things always go wrong. It happened to us but really minor issues that were resolved by the team. Robert was very responsive as the building supervisor and tradesman were also very good. The only negative was the costs charged by the electrical contractor for extras that we paid directly to them which was very high (although I am advised this is normal for trades in Sydney)

Numerous problems continuing – Built in 2006, and there were problems occurring throughout and after the building. Roof flashing was wrongly cut out then badly replaced, concrete floor had a huge lump in the lounge room, several leaks occurred including from upstairs bath drain into downstairs kitchen, upstairs roof & in pipe within wall. period was up we found problems in the brick finish and the veranda roof (built with incorrect pitch causing water to collect on beam, causing it to rot). Jandson sent workmen to measure to give the impression they were going to fix these issues, thus dragging the time out past the 7 years. Then they stopped responding to my calls & emails & I could not claim because the 7 year limit is to actually claim with the tribunal, not to 1st find the fault. Now the veranda is severely rotted, and needs to be replaced urgently.

Good experience – We are at the end of the process. The home was a project home including land. The sales and selection of materials was very easy. Some of the contractors were not as easy to deal with , but still OK. The construction took a little longer, but the biggest problem we had was the neighbour's builder. The build quality is good, there were no variations to the agreed price. We have just sold it ( that was our intention) and the agent commented that it was easier to sell than a rival brand.

Overall, we could do it again.

Extremely disappointed!!!! – I engaged Jandsons Homes to build my dream home. zero quality control and the house was riddled with defects.

I moved into my property 7 weeks ago and:

- There was no gas connected to my cooktop for 9 days.

- All blue defecting tape had been ripped off and defects not fixed.

- Nearly every window in my double storey house had been scratched requiring replacement. Apart from the inconvenience to replace most windows, I had to fight to get it done. There has been at least 3 visits to date to prove and complete this and its still not done.

- Caesar stone benchtop had to be replaced and is now scratched from workers

- Appliances scratched.

- Poor paint work

- Water leaks

- Bowed window frames

- Incorrect installation of blinds

- Wrong grout used from colour selection

- Scratched tiles

- Cracked bricks

- Creaking floors

- No seals around doors for weather protection

- Staircase installed incorrectly and had lots of creaks which required replacement. It has not been lacquered for 3 weeks and is showing signs of sun damage.

All of this could have been resolved months before handover.

My house is still far from completion, I have had to take 9 days of annual leave and still not been able to complete the defects promised to complete. This ordeal hasn’t been easy and its cost me time and money.

Poor quality, I won’t be building with Jandsons Homes again… Save your time and money and go elsewhere!

displays homes, and came back to the very one we began in and we couldn't be happier we built it. Jandsons Homes Omega 29 is definitely one of the best floor designs we came across, with its open plan single storey living, and simple yet well thought out living/bedroom configuration. The customer service right from the moment we stepped into the display home with Pat, the Client Officers (Karen and Denise) and the Site Supervisor, Andrew, made the whole experience so well worth it.

Any queries I had along the way were meant with a friendly telephone, text or email, and were handled in an efficient manner. The weekly updates as to the progress of the construction were great, and the outstanding items on settlement were fixed in a timely manner by the supervisor. We had hired an independent building inspector on settlement and he remarked that the house was of a high quality.

knowing any concerns or questions could be answered with a phone call or email to Scott who was very efficient and proactive. We were able to amend existing plans to suit our needs which was a key factor in us choosing to go with Jandson. The price was also a major factor, Jandson provided an affordable option for us to build our dream home and still live within our means. In comparison to other builders we were being provided with everything that fit our needs and wants a cheaper and more affordable price.

Once our first home was underway it seemed to fly past, everyday there seemed to be progress and if it wasn't for almost a full month of rain at the start we would have been in our home a lot sooner. Our site supervisor Rob was very approachable and very much on the ball, we experienced some troubles with trades damaging neighboring property and Rob dealt with efficiently. He is very down to earth and has still helps us out to this day even though we have moved past the construction phase.

Getting the weekly updates from the office staff is a great customer service tool that Jandson use as it gave us a heads up of work that has been completed and will be completed as we couldn't get out there some weeks to check on progress.

Having moved into our home now, we appreciate the work that has been put in by Jandson to make our dream a reality and ensure we are satisfied customers. We love our new home and would recommend Jandson as a builder to anyone including friends and family. Keep up the good work Jandson
