Despite raising a formal complaint, the key issues were not meaningfully addressed, and the proposed solution was to charge more than half the cost of the fridge, which was disproportionate given the circumstances.

My complaint was escalated to the Customer Service Manager however she failed to address the concerns in any meaningful way. Despite explaining the issue, repeatedly outlining the service failures, lack of coordination, and impact of this ongoing situation, the responses received were largely repetitive and did not engage with the substance of the complaint. Key points were overlooked, and no alternative resolution was considered beyond reiterating the same position. This reflects a very poor complaints handling process for a company of this size.

I ultimately had to arrange and pay for my own third-party assistance to move the fridge to ground level in order to facilitate collection.

The entire process was time-consuming, stressful, and avoidable. Based on this experience, I would not return to JB Hi-fi for any significant purchase.

(Goods condition screenshot provided) On 01 April 2026, the items delivered to my address. I noticed that - The Purifier's box is badly damaged and fixed with tapes. - The Purifier's box has been opened from the bottom.

(Conversation screenshot provided - CustomerServiceResponse_1.png) On 02 April 2026 at around 12pm, I contacted JB HiFi via online chat and "[Name Removed]" responded. - I explained to him my issue with pictures provided(as attachment), - I was instructed to bring in the item to the store for fault assessment. - I clarified that, this is a brand new item and it was delivered with bad condition and box for a purifier been opened, and I wanted a replacement to my address for convenient swap. - and yet, he insisted to have me go through fault assessment in one of the store. - I questioned him if he is fine to receive lemon car from dealer when buying a brand new car. - "[Name Removed]" replied "Items need to be assessed by store either way" and terminated the conversation.

Here comes the question, is my last message to [Name Removed] aggressive enough for me to terminate the conversation in such a way? or he is taking advantages of protocol on this matter. Personally, I don't see he is putting any efforts for better pleasant resolution.

[Name Removed] attempted to minimise the seriousness of the installer’s conduct by characterising it as “just a joke.” This response was dismissive and failed to adequately address the concerns raised. Further,

[Name Removed] did not respond to my direct enquiries on two separate occasions and provided information that was, at best, misleading in relation to his ability to identify the company employing the installer.

This raises concerns regarding transparency and the adequacy of the complaint handling process. Despite the refusal to provide these details,

I have independently identified the installer’s employer through review of my apartment security footage.

In light of the above, I am considering escalation of this matter to the appropriate regulatory and consumer protection bodies.

I will also be documenting the handling of this matter, including the apparent failure to provide accurate information and the lack of professionalism demonstrated.

I request that JB Hi-Fi review this matter internally and provide a formal response addressing these concerns.

He also unnecessarily prolonged the installation by going on a rant about robots packing the TV, insisting the defect could not have originated there.

This was irrelevant to the task at hand and added to the frustration.

To clarify, was [Name Removed]’s role solely to carry out the installation, or is it standard practice for installers to question customers on matters outside their scope or authority?

Anyway, I have been JBHIFI s loyal customer for many many years and spent thousands of dollars over the years. I WILL NOT STEP IN TO JBHIFI anymore. THEY HAVE LOST A LIFE TIME CUSTOMER FOR $410. A word of caution to the future buyers, if you are buying a discount product ask the question that this product is not going to be reduced in three weeks time ( they are clever they will not reduce it for 14 days if they, then they have to replace or match the price) or a discontinued run-out model.

What made this even worse was JB Hi-Fi customer service’s response. After contacting JB Hi-Fi for support, I was told that I could call an Uber! That is an incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful response for a paid delivery service.

Update: Tracking now shows “Check address – held in depot.” The parcel was scanned at Woolloongabba and marked “Unable to locate delivery address,” which strongly suggests no delivery attempt was ever made.

This is not a delivery service, and the lack of accountability from both the courier and JB Hi-Fi is completely unacceptable.

new delivery date or explanation for the delay. No emails or sms messages advising of the delay. Have called to discuss and am in queue behind 35 others. The recorded message suggests using the ai assistant on the website. I did that. The thing told me the item has been shipped and is there anything else I want before I go and have a nice day. Ie - programmed to offboard enquiries and provides information at odds with the website. This company won’t survive much longer in the modern commerce environment. What a joke.

delivery company but their line is disconnected. I spend 20 minutes on hold to another division of their company who give me the same disconnected phone number. I then spend 40 minutes on hold waiting to talk to JB whose options were they would email the company and ask for a re-delivery the next day, or a refund which will take at least 10 business days after the item is returned for non delivery.

must have been a mistake on their end. Asked if they could resend with Express delivery as a gesture, but they say I initially ordered with regular delivery, so not really. Sept 19: no news. Contacted customer support again to figure out what is going on. Warehouse still hasn't located the parcel. Customer support chased them. Asked again regarding what happened and if Express delivery was possible. First question was dodged again and they said they'll see what they can do re. delivery. Sept 22: Warehouse has located the parcel and resending. Sept 24: parcel received, although the box had some damage.

Might seem like a short delay, but the lack of communications, transparency, and total absence of apology didn't make my interaction with JB satisfactory. Would expect more from a leading retail brand. Giving two stars because the purchase was a good deal.

Waiting on hold for 45 mins to move 7 places and 10 to go, then hung up on. Pretty sure this is planned incompetency so you just give up. Even if they are able to rectify their mistake I will not be using them again or recommending them to anyone.

 Follow-up  · Returned the item, let them know I didn’t have access to pre-paid card purchased with. “ online team will take care of it” FACT: online team did not take care of it. $50 is on a card somewhere in the tip, no I didn’t take down the card info, it was empty when I threw it. So no, will never shop at JB again, ever. Not because of $50, but because of run around, terrible service and dismissal of my concerns.

Saturday advising the phone was ready to collect upon store opening. I arrived at 9.30 am and was served by a polite staff member who had me out of the store 5 minutes later.

My only concern was the online trade in process. Immediately I selected the trade in option I received an electronic gift certificate which it said I could immediately apply to my new phone purchase, which I did.

However I received an invoice for the full amount of the phone & a debit to my credit card for the full value, so I got a bit worried. I didn’t realise that the debit charge was only pending & when JB received my trade-in phone (has to be posted, not accepted in stores), the revised price of the phone less trade was only charged to my card.

I took my trade-in to the post office as instructed & had no issues with them as the staff were fully aware of the process & even double checked I had deleted all data.

I have made many large purchases with JB and never had an issue so again I fully recommend JB Hi-Fi for all electrical needs.

I find they answer any queries honestly both online & in stores and their staff are extremely knowledgeable in their specific areas.

I am also very happy with the IPhone 17 Pro Max, it takes great photos & as I am no tech wizard I m still discovering new features.

I initially found that the Camera activation button on the right side of the phone is annoying for me. When I lock the phone pressing the button at top right using my left hand my lower fingers often hit the camera button instantly opening the camera. At least I am aware now & working on avoiding it. But it is great for quick camera activations.

After chatting online for 2 days it went nowhere so decided to talk to someone over the phone so rang hotline and waited for almost 2 hours on hold due to high volume of calls but after all that I was instructed to visit website and the call was dropped. STAY AWAY - buying from one of the online sellers was a nightmare. They (JB) asked for all the info which was sent and then it took 4 weeks to respond and said case is closed.
