Jim’s Cleaning put us onto a local cleaner in the Wallan area named Rick. The service provided was outstanding. It alleviated our stress in making the property ready for sale and the job in the end was of exceptional quality. Before cleaning the grout in the indoor tiles was black, the concrete was black and the window frames were mouldy. The photos show a very different picture. We could not be happier. Show reply

I engaged this business for a quote to clean some ceilings and parts of the upper walls for my home (a rental). They delegated the job to a contractor, Garry (Quality Bond Cleaning). arrived on time and had the job completed in around 45 minutes. I'm satisfied with the results. Nothing was missed and they cleaned up after themselves. I've provided a few sample photos here to illustrate the difference in some of the worst areas.

Jagroop servicing Golden Grove. They were so efficient and had incredible attention to detail. It felt so good to come home and it smells pleasantly clean. The bathroom fan has never been cleaned by other independent cleaners as it is hard to get to but Jagroop scrubbed it back to bright white! The blinds, oven and stove top look new! They cleaned and shined the barstools and fittings - everything looks shiny and clean! Very happy

Some initial communication difficulties but Jim's Cleaning did come through in the end to fix areas missed in the original clean and did some extra items above and beyond the basic house clean (e.g. wall marks). I learnt the basic house clean is just dust, vacuum, sweep, mop and bathroom surface clean which is completed in just under 50 minutes on my 2 bedroom house and the charge for this is $200 (plus $50 for an oven clean). Show details

The results spoke for themselves. I have been a cleaner, up to vacate bond cleans in between other careers, and the cleaner did a outstanding job. It is pricey, you do have to understand what the quote lists is what is done, quoted on, and if you want everything cleaned you have to list all you want done. list, it will not be cleaned. Thus the quote list they send needs the clients reading it, not assuming they get an entire house clean for a list they did not read, not understanding that that list reflects what results you will get.

In my case I stated I needed a vacate bond return clean The quote was of a place never cared long before I tenanted it. There were marks I thought no one would get off, however in this case, Jim's Cleaning result was way beyond what I thought possible in results. I paid $1,000 but it was worth every cent. It assisted in family all being able to concentrate on moving a lot, way faster, instead of spending that entire day, as he did, cleaning.

I unfortunately can’t recommend Jim’s Cleaning Cabramatta Central (Edward & Helen). clean, I found a number of areas had been missed, including dirty skirting boards, floor stains, dirty window tracks/sills, and other detail cleaning that hadn’t been completed to the standard I expected. I contacted the business with photos, and to their credit they responded promptly and offered to return. He also broke our shower screen door luckily my husband had the tools to repair it himself.

When they came back the following day, only the bathroom was re-cleaned. The other concerns I had raised were not addressed, despite being part of the original inspection clean quote.

I appreciate that they responded quickly and gave me the opportunity for a re-visit, but I was left disappointed with the overall quality of the service, especially considering the $550 price.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t use this service again or recommend it based on my experience.

unhappy with this service and will not be using Jims ever again. As a property manager, I will also stop recommending Jims cleaning to our tenants. As I have been doing for the past 9 years.

I would not recommend Jim’s Cleaning based on my experience with this booking, the cleaner who attended, and the way the complaint was handled by management and head office. protection, and paper trail for the job.

The cleaner involved was [Name Removed]. He attended the property beforehand to quote the job, saw the property, and was given the cleaning list. Despite this, the clean was not completed properly.

During the clean, I felt ignored and dismissed when I tried to give instructions about what needed to be cleaned. My husband then had to step in and repeat what needed to be done. That made the situation uncomfortable and made me feel that I was not being respected in my own home.

Around two hours into the job, my husband asked what they were doing because they appeared to be standing around. The response was that they were “just having a chat”.

On another occasion, my husband asked them to make sure the glass doors were cleaned. The response was, “You don’t have to worry about that, it’s just the inspection, they’re not going to look.” My husband had to remind him that the glass doors were specifically on the list of items we had asked to be cleaned for the rent inspection.

I provided photos showing what had not been cleaned properly. Items had been vacuumed around instead of moved. There was still dust and debris on the floor. Tabletops had not been wiped down. Bins were not emptied. Bathroom floors and tiles were not properly cleaned. The showers still had soap scum on the tiles and soap holders. Even the soap holders in both showers had not been cleaned, and it was clear items had not been moved off them. Only the shower glass appeared to have been cleaned. Beds were not made, even though fresh linen was left on the beds. Dishes were still left near the sink, including pots that had not been cleaned. Kitchen benches were not wiped down.

In my opinion, the job was not even close to 50% complete. Based on the cleaning list and photos, I do not believe even 10% of the agreed work was properly completed.

After this, I contacted Jim’s Cleaning admin. I was asked whether I wanted to be put through to the franchisee or the manager. I said I wanted the manager because I did not feel comfortable dealing directly with the franchisee.

[Name Removed], the manager, then became involved. Despite me explaining that I did not feel comfortable dealing with [Name Removed] directly, [Name Removed]’s first response was that their policy was for me to deal with the franchisee directly. I had to explain again that this was exactly why I had contacted admin and why admin had referred me to him.

I then spoke to [Name Removed] and explained that I did not feel comfortable dealing with [Name Removed] because of how uncomfortable the situation had been in my home. [Name Removed] said he would arrange for someone else to come out and finish the clean. I said that was fine because I wanted the job I paid for completed.

[Name Removed] said he would get back to me the next day. A couple of days passed and I had to follow up again because I still had not received a response.

[Name Removed]’s next response was that [Name Removed] could come back and finish the clean. I had already explained more than once that I did not feel safe or comfortable having him return to my property, especially as he had my home address.

After more follow-up, [Name Removed] only processed a $200 partial refund for a $400 job. The refund payment came through from [Name Removed]. His final response did not address the conduct concerns, the photos showing what was not cleaned, the fact head office was copied in, or why only 50% was refunded for a job I believe was not even close to 50% complete.

Jim’s Cleaning head office was copied into the email chain. Despite this, at no point did head office step in to correct the handling of the complaint, address the safety and conduct concerns, or provide a fair resolution beyond the $200 partial refund.

This was not just a poor clean. It was poor conduct in my home, failure to complete the paid job, a concerning cash payment arrangement, and poor complaint handling by both management and head office. Based on my experience, I would not use Jim’s Cleaning again. I later found Jim’s own Work Guarantee on their website, which states that if the job is done to get your bond back when leaving a rental property, “the job is only good when the agent or landlord is satisfied.” This was a rent inspection clean, yet the complaint was handled as though half the job being poorly done justified only a 50% refund. Their own guarantee says problems should be inspected and fixed, and if problems are not fixed within a fortnight, any advance should be refunded. That is not what happened here.

Dodgy is an understatement. NORTH lakes Qld franchisees. Charged $170 for a full house clean and first time was great then after I am not sure what they did but it certainly was not a clean. as useless to speak to. Soap scum on tiles under soap holder, dust every where as you will see in the picture if they come every fortnight for 2 months would the dust be this thick on a shelf?? I did not cancel them sooner because I was back and forth taking my dad to hospital for cancer treatment so looking around the house was not a top priority until last week. Why pay a licensed supposedly insured business to do a job when they cant even do a basic clean. If you want to waste your money call Sunny and his offsider as I can gaurantee you will be left out of pocket if you choose to keep them in for an ongoing clean. Even them knowing I was at the house working did not stop them rushing and doing a half arsed job. Honestly I was looking at the floors more then anything previous to cancelling them. Go ahead if you want to take the risk but belueve me you will be truly dissapointed with what you get.
