Kenwood kMix Stand Questions & Answers
My Kmix Stand Mixer KMX75 head is banging up and down when using the dough hook
i have returned my mixer with the stainless steel bowl. I could not fit the food guard. I could not use the head lift with the leaver at the back !. I managed to use once and the bowl seemed stuck . are these all design faults or a faulty machine?
most times i use the bread hook it gets jammed, and hard to remove this time it wont come out. how do i remove it?
It should not be to difficult. Just push it up and twist
I use my dough hook all the time, but the other day it shaped in two and after taking it back to the place of purchase they replaced it. Since then I have had a knocking noise in the motor, so I think after many years it is time for a new one.
Is there replacement paddles you can buy as the one i have leaves colour on my icing and when I pick up the paddle I try and not touch any part of them or Im left black all over my hands, obviously I cant stop the ingredients getting covered in it?
I scrub mine all over with a stainless steel pot scrubber. I need to do this every time I take it out of the dishwasher. Hope the paddles come in stainless these days as I am about to have to buy a new mixer. (Or keep the paddle out of the dishwasher).
My paddle did the same and I took it into the store i originally purchased it from and they replaced it.
Don't put the mixing paddles in the dishwasher, the dishwashing powder corrodes them and you get that black film coming off them. Hand wash them and you will be fine, if you have already had them in the dishwasher, it's too late! I have replaced my K beater after putting in the dishwasher, bought it on ebay much cheaper than buying from Kenwood.
i am pretty sure it tells you not to put the attachments in the dishwasher
And yet the promo video here says they are dishwasher safe. external link
