I am finding that my oven temperature is a lot higher than the temperature that I set it for. I set the temperature at 180C to bake cinnamon scrolls as per my usual recipe. but they started to go very brown within 5 minutes in this new oven. Even turning the oven down to 140c it was still too hot. I had it on ‘Oven’ setting. This recipe is supposed to take 25 minutes. ??
I use 180 for cooking most food like vegetables. If you are using say frozen fish, chips or other then go to 200

Does the fan suppose to operate when in oven mode, as my fan operates in all air fry and oven modes.
Yes, similar to that of a fan forced oven. If you have light food that flies around because of it, move shelves closer together. I toast pita bread like this

I have rung your inquiry line and they suggested a website where I may be able to get the spare part but they do not have the space part I am seeking. The website was hegroup.com.au is there somewhere else I can get these spare parts. I would imagine since Kmart sells this product that they would have had inquiries previous to mine about spare parts for the air fryer and I would appreciate any assistance
The inner top part of the air fryer where the heating coil located bursted into fire suddenly after heating up a piece of fried chicken at 180C for 5 min. It was very scary and luckily the fire was put out within a couple of minutes. It could have been a disaster if my smoke alarm didn't alarmed me about the fire as when I took out the piece of chicken everything seemed ok and I went away. The fire suddenly broke out afterwards. Can I know is it becoming a safety issue after using the it for probably 1.5 year or so ?

Hi there, this may be because the unit has over heated. We recommend unplugging it and allowing it to cool down. If the error message continues to appear we recommend returning the air fryer, along with your receipt, to your local Kmart store.

Hi Michael, we're really sorry to hear about what has been happening with your Air Fryer Oven, that certainly isn't what we'd expect. We recommend giving your local store a call to discuss return options, as this may unfortunately be faulty.
What's happened is your 172C thermal fuse inside it has blown. It's not user-serviceable. Common fault but Kmart won't admit it. Hope you're still in warranty. It's a poor design given the thermal fuse is inside a unit rated for 200C. We went for a different model the second time.
