Do you have induction friendly cookware on it? It will beep if the cookware isn't compatible with induction stoves. The easiest way to find out is to place a magnet on the back and if it attaches, it is suitable.
Recently bought the Anko induction cooker but cannot seem to turn power off by clicking onto the power button. Lo is showing up on the screen. I would have assumed that once power is turned off that maybe only a small light above power button would be showing. Is it normal for Lo to be on all the time? It is not convenient to turn power off at the wall as it is difficult to reach.
Hi. The manual says ‘Lo’ is displayed in standby mode.(Page 5, ‘Operating Instructions’ 1. ) So, yes, this seems to be normal. It will only every be fully off if the power to it is off. The previous model, with the red display, seemed to turn off completely rather than stay in standby mode.

Hi, can anyone confirm the induction coil size? Thanks

Tony, I can't answer for the newer iteration with blue graphics, but the two earlier ones that are dead in my garage (white graphics) had nice big coils of 17cm across. I just saw your question and measured one. I must leave a review sometime too (they're great, but both of mine died in under two years... but I might try my luck again because the specs are hard to beat for the price).
Thanks Vkoio4. I ended up buying the IKEA one which has been great.
My induction cooker continues to beep after having been used. The power has been turned off cooling has ceased, pan is taken off stove.

I bought an Anko induction hot plate today and when using it for the first time for a stir fry it kept beeping and flashing E5 which is the to hot error code. How can it be to hot when the hot plate sets the temperature at 180 and you need it hot to stir fry. Is this a faulty one and should I return it before I use it again. Karen
Hi Karen, thanks for reaching out and we're sorry to hear of your experience with your purchase. Please return to your local Kmart store with your receipt and cooker, a member of our team will be able to advise you on your refund or replacement. If you’d like to discuss this further, please contact our Customer Service team via 1800 124 125 or external link .
We're having the same issue. It's constantly shutting off with an E5 error message even on mid range temps. This issue is also increasing over time. Should we also return it? Otherwise we've found it to be a good product.
Ours is saying the same thing. Hardly used. Is this a common problem. I feel that it is a waste of money. I don’t have a receipt either
Bought the kmart Anko induction cook top about 2 weeks ago. It has been working ok till this morning. Got a E8 error and unable to use the cooktop. Have put compatable cookware on the cooker and it will give a continuous beeping sound with E8. Nothing in the instruction talked about this error. Planning to take it back for refund.
Take it back for refund. I took mine back on same day. It was useless. Try Healthy Choice one instead.

The fan seems to continue running even if the unit is switched on for only about 10 seconds and switched off at the on/off switch, but still on at the power point. Is this normal and if so, how long does it run, and is the run time the same no matter what ? It doesn't seem to relate to cooking time?
Hey Frank, I can confirm my one has the same behaviour, so it'll just be a simple circuit inside which runs the fan for a predetermined time rather than take input from a temperature sensor. I've since bought a more expensive unit and that one will run the fan dependent on temperature once cooking has ceased.
Thanks Stu- just wanted to confirm it’s normal for that unit
Bought 2 weeks ago, no physical receipt. Every time I cook, even on low 1000-1200watt heating settings the cooker gives an E5 (cooktop too hot) warning after a few minutes and shuts off. Despite this the cooktop surface is not hot and can still be touched by hand without injury. Why is it turning off due to overheating after 3 minutes of use at half it's rated wattage... Is this another case of #kmartquality and the unit is just faulty?
Hi Paul, we're so sorry to hear about what's happening with your microwave. This is certainly unusual, and the microwave may be faulty. If you no longer have the receipt, a bank statement showing proof of purchase can also be used to make your return. We do recommend giving your local store a call for help straight away on this specific return.
Hi, my induction cooker is doing the same thing. Can I get it replaced? I ordered it on 28/04/2022
Hi Katie, unfortunately our warranty period for appliances is 12 months from the date of purchase, we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused by this! If you'd like to discuss this further you can contact our Customer Service team on 1800 124 125 or by leaving your details here: external link
This isn't even close to unusual with this model, Paul. Same issue here, even on the lowest temperature. Absolute rubbish, wish I could return it but I've long-since binned the packaging.
How many power settings does the cooker have? What are the watts for each power setting? The manual doesn't include basic information such as this and I am planning on using the cooker I buy on an inverter.
Hi there, thanks for your question. The power levels range from 200-2000W and there are 10 stages of power and temperature settings. Hope this helps!
Thank you for your reply. I'm sure it would help a lot of people make a purchase decision if you included more information, such as this, on the box.
Mine was working great until it started blowing fuses. Now it is won't turn on at all.
Just bought an Anko induction cooktop from Kmart a couple of weeks ago. It's really noisy with a hoarse buzzing sound (probably a fan or something?) that stays on even after the unit is powered off. This stops when I turn off the power at the switch. Is this normal and should we be worried?
The is a fan which cools the appliance as it reach extremely high temps quickly All induction cookers have a fan It is a "whirring" fan sound, the buzzing is something else could be you removed the pot, without hitting the "off" switch" which is an alarm that no pot is there to heat Do not turn the main switch off before it has cooled down properly Check user manual (yes after all else fails, check the manual )
The fan is on for 5 minutes after switched off. Os ot normal?
Perfectly normal, the element gets to high temperatures quickly The fan helps cool the element after you have finished cooking, thus avoiding fire and extending the life of the product
Hi - we love our induction cooker! We only have 1000 watt inverter and find we can easily cook anything within that level. Do you know if 304 stainless steel can be used on the cooker?
Hi there, we're glad you're loving your purchase. We recommend checking the instruction manual for more information: external link
cheaper pots cause the e5 error. my expensive pot never causes it. the cheap kmart induction saucepan another matter
What is error E5 please? I found the troubleshooting section and it says it means the cooker surface temperatures too high. But this error even happens on 1000 or 1200 surely that is not too hot considering it goes up to 2000? Thoughts please?
Hi Paula, thanks for getting in touch! If this error is showing when the cooker is at a much lower temperature than its maximum, there may be a fault. How long ago did you purchase the cooker?
Hi Paula I was receiving the exact same error and was about to return the item. However, instead of running the cooker in POWER selection mode, I changed over to TEMPERATURE mode and the problem seems to have resolved. I actually made it through a cook without the E5 error going off. I have tested it with stainless steel pots larger than the recommended 18.5-20.0cm, and with a 29cm cast iron frying pan (heated it slowly by cycling up the temperature to avoid the possibility the pan would crack). So far so good.
So Power selection mode just seems to lead to the overheating (usually within a minute or two) - and it seems to still overheat in this mode even with the wattage at 600W (~1/3 power).
Hope this helps in some way.
this suggestion helped! thanks
A thick tea towel between the pot and induction cooktop solved my E5 problem.
This worked!! Thank you
This totally solved my E5 problem! Brilliant! Thanks so much!
Why does my cooker shut off with the prompt EO?
Incompatible pot/pan, must have a magnetic base. Aluminium, copper, ceramic and some stainless will not work. Read the instruction manual!
If a fridge magnet will stick to the bottom of your pan, it will most likely work.
I have error L. If I push any button Keep beeping sounds. What does mean?
It's the worst product I've ever bought. I returned it twice. Same problem with both. I only used each one once, then got error 1 - Check pot placement. Which I did, several times with several saucepans of different weights. It's been discontinued for a reason. Should NOT be still available. Get your money back. It's a dud.
You've probably locked the controls, read the instruction manual. Mine works perfectly. They are still available, despite the above comment.
I got this induction cooker and for some reason it doesnt turn on, like when i plug in it beeps but when i press the on/off button, nothing seems to happen.
Hello. Would it work with a flat pot with 23,5cm diameter (also, what is the max total pot weight it can be used on this one)? Thanks
Hi,
I have been using this cooker for almost 10 months and now for the past two days it gives a strange tapping sound when it is on. What could that be? Thanks in advance
The only moving part is the fan so check if the fan blades are clear of obstacles like dust, dirt, grease, etc. It pays to regularly dust off the inlet and outlet holes regularly preferably with a vacuum as they do collect allot of gunk. You may have to open the unit to check but you then need to be careful as the temp sensor may be glued to the top glass. Don't forget you do have a 12 month warranty.
Thank you. I will try that
I almost always get error E6. I am not sure what is causing it and how to resolve it. I only use up to 800 power level. Has anyone experienced the same?
Error is heat related. Could be type of utensil or size, make sure pots fits within the markings, Cast iron retains heat too well and these cookers don't usually like them. Check the cooling fan is working and there is nothing blocking the in and outlet air flow. If it is none of the above and out of warranty, suggest replace the unit as repairs would cost more than a new one.
Error EO but pan is in place. Can anyone help me please?
If the utensil is not magnetic then the cooker will show error. Otherwise turn it off at the mains (not its power switch, unplug it) for at least 10 seconds to reset it and if the error still shows on turn on with a induction utensil then the unit is faulty.
