contact centre is overseas, it’s luck of the draw depending on who you get. I called multiple times to set up the NBN with no result, and once it was finally connected, the agent wouldn’t end the call unless I left a positive review and mentioned them by name. A few months later, I went through financial hardship and my NBN was disconnected. When I asked if it could be reconnected so I could work and pay my bills, and explained my situation, I was told I had to pay first and that nothing could be done for at least 24 hours. After I pointed out information on their website, the agent (Arun) put me on a long hold, only to come back and say he still couldn’t help. I ended up losing a full day’s pay because my internet was disconnected.

seeing their very basic website, where they don't even have a member login page!! It took 2 days for them to act and took my existing NBN connection and on a bright sunny morning my existing NBN connection stopped functioning. An hour later I received a text message, that my Kogan internet is up and running... That's all. No details, no welcome you !@$#, nothing. Obviously, the internet was not working, so I had to call the "Bombay club" customer service to talk with an absolutely clueless someone to explain that I'm happy that they are happy to connect me, but I wanted internet connection and not their happiness. Because I had my own router already, they said it's my problem to set it up, and they cannot help. I explained to them, that this is not a rocket science, and I made the changes their only online FAQ said, but no connection. Then the "expert" said, that I need to contact the manufacturer of my router and ask them what settings I need to change to use the pathetic Kogan Internet. I though he was joking, but not. Then he said, he will "escalate this to a senior tech support" and dropped the phone, leaving me without internet for a full day. Then I realized, that Kogan Internet belongs to the dreadful TPG mob from which I wanted to escape all the time. After being a Kogan Internet "customer" for 8 hours I called them again and cancelled my new contract without being able to use it for a second. In contrary, I called Swoop, explained my experience with this pathetic company and they connected me to their network in 90 min, without even needed to change any settings in my router, calling the manufacturer of the router, etc, etc. And they have Australian based customer service with knowledgeable people. I wonder how Kogan got a licence to operate in Australia as an NBN service provider... Stay away from them unless you prepared for your own mental torture!

Activation is too slow and not organised – After placing the order, I just received a call, SMS, and email in the afternoon, and the next day there was no communication anymore. There is no sms or email on when or what day or even what month will activate my connection. And I didn't order a modem from them, so why is it delayed? I will keep an eye on it if their connection has no dropouts.… Read more

No Account Access – The internet connection is fine we don’t have issues with it (so far) my issue is with the lack of access to my account. I mean there isn’t any! I cannot view or update any of my info. I can’t choose to pay my bill before the direct debit date, nor can I choose a different payment method or a different date. The phone number they provided is a Vodafone automated payment line which doesn’t recognise my account number. It’s really frustrating! Show details

concise instructions and got it done in about 15 minutes total. Amazing help. Honestly, the instruction booklet that came with the router were no help at all and the font size was so microscopic it was unreadable anyway. But the live helpline more than made up for that. Now I have BLAZING FAST internet. Very happy.
Follow-up · It’s been a month since switching to Kogan and the internet connection has been steady at 500 mb/s. No complaints about the speed or stability of the system. Seems good.
