Not to sure of the correct amount but it was just over $2000AU. We were lucky and picked ours up with a damaged boxed for $750AU. We got a good nine and a half years use, making atleast sic coffees a say. So sad when it died

My machine grinds the beans but no coffee comes out. When that happens I have to take it to the repair shop and they fix the problem in a couple of mins. One of the technicians told me they resetted the machine. Does anyone know if the "reset" can be done easily or if a program is needed? I dont want to pay to get it fixed every time it happens.

Have you tried switching it off at the power point and leaving for 10 seconds or more before turning back on? Or otherwise call the Krups hotline 1 300 307 824 and ask them how to reset. They did help me in the past.

Hi, We have had the XP9000 for about 12 years and it hasn’t missed a beat until recently. Over the last 3/4 weeks it would grind ok but occasionally not produce any coffee, now it grinds but alternatively says select beverage or fill beans when it is full, but no coffee. Went out and bought some ground coffee and it works fine with the pre ground coffee. Anyone have an idea where to start. Jim

I am just telling as I experienced it.

Maybe the beans lid is not on properly, or the internal grinder has not been put back properly

My machine has been working great. However, lately it often dispenses only half a cup. We have a large coffee programmed to 10 oz, but it is only giving about half of that. There is no sign of leakage. Any ideas what could cause this?

Hi just asking my krups water is not coming out when i try to make a coffee water just leaks. Any ideas?

I. Like. Coffee

Are the grounds just going into the dump bin dry and when you pull the tray out there is water on the sides of the inside of the machine above the catch tray ? The silicone hose from the water pump outlet up to the heat pump / boiler has most likely perished and split.

Searching online I can only find the complete boiler with the hoses attached available in the U.S

Unless you can do it yourself, you most likely have to take it to the repair shop.

I have this same problem at the moment. I've had my coffee maker since 2008 and use it everyday! We love it. What did you do to solve your leak? Did you take it into a shop or order the part from America? Thank you.

How can I get the mechanism for the brewing unit back in line? I am unable to put the unit back in position

sorry...we always send it out to a repair facility when we encounter problems

further to my last reply ....look inside where the coffee drawer slide in, and using a long pointed wooden skewer clear out any coffee grounds that are stuck in the grooves... so that (use a flashlight) the drawer slides all the way to the back...sides, and across the back .....Ted L. We have 2 of these machines and disregarding my first assessment we still use them and it does make wonderful coffee....knock on wood !!

Krups espresseria automatic. Have had it for 5 years plus. Message said to empty coffee grounds collector and part above it and now programme message is stuck on replace coffee grounds collector. I have pulled it out and waited at least 8 seconds before replacing it as the manual suggests but still locked in this message and I can't make a coffee now.

Can anyone help?

Have you tried turning power off and unplugging and trying again?

Perhaps remove the brewing unit and clean out all the grinds and rinse brewer and try again.

Turned machine off and unplugged several times over period of several days. Turn it on and the lcd display is still showing and locked on replace coffee friends collector. Cannot use any of the programs. Have manually cleaned container and sliding plastic thing above container. When I slide it back in, I have to push it until it clicks. Previously it slid in without clicking.

My coffee machine has just passed away? I think. After providing good service and great coffee it just went " poof" gave off a smell of burning with some smoke. I pulled the plug out of the GPO as the circuit breaker blew also. Water leak issue? Into inner power workings of machine. Took casing off for a quick look, nothing obvious. Any ideas?

Nothing obvious. Our machine started shorting out a while ago and kept throwing the fuse. We took it to the service repair people and it is back as right as rain. I know this is not all that helpful for you, but it may give you some hope. Regards Evan.

It sounds like the plastic connector tube or braided pressure nose has broken or split where hot water comes from boiler to brewing unit. The steam / water drips onto electrical parts when this happens and trips circuit breaker (residual current device).

Its generally only a cheap part that needs replacing but is quite tricky to get to if you are not confident in stripping unit right down so you can get to area inside (it sits just under cup warmer but have to dismantle all panels including front to access).

Distributor may charge a bit to repair so have to work out if repair and freight charges are worth it. Same thing happened to ours and I instead bought a new Bosch unit on clearance as Bosch are exiting coffee machine market.......glad we dis as Bosch unit is fantastic and so quiet compared to0 XP9000

Galahbar

Hi press the maintence button, think ts a spanner and go through options until you cone to de scal function and select, should then ask you to empty tray and once you put it back in it wil tell you to lift ground coffee cover and drop tablet in.

My machine is not delivering water to the coffee section. It sends water when I only need hot water or steam. What is the problem and can I fix it quickly?

E Davis
E Davis

This has happened to us on 2 previous occaisions too. We just took it to our service agent and the fixed it fairly quickly.

Sophie Flo
Sophie Flo

When this happened to us, we took it to a service place and it was a small plastic part which they told us goes about every 18 months. The last time it happened though, the whole boiler unit went which is very expensive and we ended up getting a Jura J9 to replace it. We had already replaced the boiler unit once in the Krups, plus had it serviced about 5 times in 4 years.

Have had my machine for a number of years but it is not frothing milk for cappucinos the way it should - looks like a flat white! Any ideas?

E Davis
E Davis

Yes. Replace the little black plastic nozzle at the end of the steamer. They cost about $10 from a service agent.

Sophie Flo
Sophie Flo

2 things to try - pull out the black nozzle and clean out the inside with a sharp skewer to remove any milk residue, rinse out and reinstall. If that doesn't help, unscrew the frothing tube and remove, then get another skewer! Bend it in the middle to 90 degrees, then insert it up the inner steam nozzle as far as it can. Rotate it around and in and out and that hopefully will clear any internal build ups. This worked a couple of times for us. We would note that we finally got a Jura J9 instead - far better!!
