couldn't have been the problem. Will directed me to the DNS settings on the desktop, which led me to Bitdefender, who had stuffed up my DNS setting. There was a fix, so applied that, and the internet was back on! I'd recommend Will for any complex computer problems.

Launtel's NBN (HFC in Adelaide) has been rock-solid and reliable from day one. Previously I have been on sketchy (and yet premium priced) Optus 4G wireless home internet for years now - when they finally get the 4G stable they start up "planned maintenance" and stuff it up all over again giving zero connection for sometimes weeks at a time, at multiple times per year. It was time to say ENOUGH! to lacklustre service and basically being ripped off all the way along. Don't even get me started on being locked into modem repayments for 24months.

With Launtel all you need is a router - plug the black NBN box into your router, set up your wifi name and password and boom, whole house has new fast internet. You can even change your speed plan on a day to day basis or pause the service if you want, and not be locked in. These are freedoms you don't get with other providers.

In short I totally recommend switching to Launtel. It's worth paying for great internet with great service that isn't veiled behind walls of hassle.

Have been in Tasmania for 4.5 years and have had nothing but trouble with other Internet providers, slow speeds, drop outs and inability to log on. (pleasantly) surprised to receive responses virtually straightaway. The answers I received a) made sense, b) were appropriate for my questions, and c) [most importantly] clearly came from staff who knew what they were talking about.

I signed up and have been using the Launtel service for the past week. The speeds have been rock solid. I have had zero issues.

In addition, I have received a number of courtesy emails to see if I was happy with everything.

I find their pay-by-the-day approach refreshingly different. I can change my speed on a daily basis, paying the appropriate amount for the speed on that day. I can pause my access if I need.

I am very happy with the product and with the helpful staff.

helpful, professional, and reassuring. He listened carefully to my concerns, explained everything clearly, and walked me through the steps to secure my connection with a new static IP address. received a message saying connection timed out because internet was slow. This should not happen on 100/20 service, at all! My iPad also kept bumping me off the service and the wifi signal kept fluctuating from 3 bars of the wifi fan signal to just 2. When I enquired about all this, they tested speeds and stability (there end) and said it was stable and at 75mbps download, but I downloaded the Speedtest App on my devices once the internet came back on and the most i got on a phone was 66mbps down and on another device in the house was 54mbps I did not like that they made out my connection was faster than it actually was. I also did not like in their email correspondence where they stated that because my internet tested as stable (at their end) and fulfilled the basic assured speed of around 64mbps that a Performance Trouble Ticket should not be lodged for my service. What The? That was not reassuring! That's like saying well basic is good enough and we won't bother because we say its just fine. There was no mention of why I had the total dropout for 30-60 minutes the previous day or any promise of them helping me get the attainable speed of 95 or even a stable 75. It was also generally costlier than a rival who also has a high review rating, so I cancelled the trial and went to the rival.

The connection speed is as promised which is twice as fast as my previous service provider but it is also cheaper on a daily rate. The beauty of Launtel is, that I can pause the service as it is a shack that is not used all the time. Mobile and terrestrial tv is no existent so Launtel’s service is exactly what is needed. Contact with the call centre is great an other communications certainly let me know what is happening.
