Ripped off by LICA CLEANING SERVICES, Gold Coast Qld – Lica does not pay their workers. Rip off! Did six hours hard cleaning work for Lica and they have not paid me. Recently from India they are scammers! Then wanted to hook up, thinking I was a younger woman!!

the office number to be only greeted by "hello" no company name nor name of the person on the other end of the phone. Even hung up on me to which I had to call back. And after being told that they garantee to get your bond back in full. All I was offered was a refund for the pest control and nothing else. In the end my wife and I had to go over everything that they had done in order for us to get our bond money back. Absolutely useless. Make you pay in full even before they will start the job cause they know that if they had to paid after they finish, they wouldn't get paid for their services. Would never recommend this company to anyone!

Clean work – The cleaners were professionals and gave me some advice too. Overall, the work done was good and they were friendly. Would recommend them to others. They also assured me that any dispute over their cleaning would be resolved in 24hrs

was disgusting and when forwarded the list of issues to return and rectify, after telling me it would be done within 24-48 hours, I didn't hear from them till almost two weeks later. Obviously by then it's too late. After numerous emails complaining, they finally responded offering a $50 refund, which isn't good enough. I've referred them to the office of fair trading.

time, I paid the $50 deposit and booked. The cleaner was supposed to show up at 8am with keys due back to the real estate at 4.30pm that day. The cleaner messaged that morning to say he would meet me at the house at 10am which was fine but then he called about an hour later to say he had been in a car crash and couldn’t get there until midday. By this time I was skeptical he wouldn’t show up at all so I googled the company only to find this webpage full of terrible reviews. Well panic set in and I decided at 11.30am to go over and start cleaning the house myself (lucky we only moved a few streets away so it wasn’t a problem). The cleaner eventually showed up just after midday, wearing jeans and a hoodie and carrying one bucket with some products. He certainly didn’t look prepared to be doing a bond clean. He asked for payment upfront but I refused and told him I would pay once the job was done. He agreed as long as I stayed onsite which I preferred to do anyway to micromanage the hell out of the cleaning to make sure it got done by 4.30. The cleaner actually did a decent job and cleaned everything as per their checklist online. I did waste my afternoon hanging at the property but as I didn’t have to clean it myself and had the time it was worth it to know he was actually doing the job. Our house was pretty immaculate before the clean so it wasn’t a hard job. I do think if the house had been in worse condition it wouldn’t have been cleaned to the standard a real estate would expect. Anyway the job was adequate and cheap and we got our bond back so overall not a waste of money, just a little stressful and time-consuming for something that could have been done easier. I would prefer to book with another company next time for sure.

emailed asking why I was cancelling and I stated that I was going to clean property myself. I did not hear from them so I emailed again 4 days later and the emailed asking again for my deposit back. I was sent an email the next day stating they were going to refund only $10. I emailed stating this was NOT OK and demanded my full refund as it was last week I cancelled my booking. They replied stating that I had no responded to ‘why I was cancelling their service” I stated I had and this was not a requirement of their cancellation policy. I then call them asking what was going on, they stated they were processing my refund. I demand a screenshot ( as they do of customers) of this refund transaction. I was emailed a NAB screen shot showing the transfer, however they have sent a screen shot of a document that was not authorised. ( I am uncertain if this is a legitimate document and will be going to NAB to confirm this.) I have called them again and emailed them again today asking why I have been waiting for 4 days for the refund when I should only take 24hrs. Operator stated that she was going to speak to the accounts department. I asked to speak with the accounts department and she stated this was not possible.

DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY. Read other reviews of people that have had cleaners come to their property.

phone that their cleaner tried to call me several times and I just ignored him and that is why he did not show up. I sent them my call log list as proof that I was calling and texting the cleaner for hrs and hrs waiting for him to rock up and he never answered the phone and never called me back. When I called the head office on the day of the ‘cleaning’, they told me for hrs that the cleaner is ‘just around the corner’, ‘approaching now’ or ‘just 3 min away’. They do not just steal your money, they get enjoyment out of making you wait, follow them up and call them. Making you wait at your property for the cleaner to arrive gives them pleasure somehow. After about 15 emails and even more calls and providing evidence they still refuse to refund my money! DO NOT BOOK THESE SAD PEOPLE! They will rip you off and scam you out of your money!

and despite them stating that it would be given, they send through a screen shot to show that it has been paid, only the document also states that it has not been authorised, after a week of following up and the excuse "It can take a few days to transfer"- again lies, and I have reported to consumer affairs.

they called me to say they were going to the dentist, then from them they kept dodging my phone calls and telling me they couldn't speak, then they would make these fake promises of they would be there in half an hr and never show up. They also don't give you receipts, we have been messaging non stop and calling non stop since Monday chasing up the receipt and they keep saying soon and hanging up on us or saying they've sent it when they haven't. They finally got the clean done on Tuesday but when I walked in on Tuesday at 12pm the carpets did not look or even smell like they'd been cleaned, they didn't do the wardrobe runners and I noticed the laundry basin also hadnt been wiped out. There was still crap on the carpet which wouldn't be there if they vacuumed or steam cleaned. I believe they are dragging this invoice thing out to the 7 days guarantee is complete so they can turn around and say they won't come out again. Though some of the things I noticed I'll be able to do a better job of cleaning myself, however we may now have to pay more money we didn't account for to get the carpets redone. We are currently waiting for the real estate to do their inspection so we will see what they say. All in all they are con artists, do not use them. The Worst - Should be 0 stars – Absolutely disgusting. Was booked for a Tuesday afternoon, got a call to say will be there next day at 10. Edit: They came back the next day, so two extra days rent needing to be paid, did a half-assed job to which i had to get the rental company to fix at more cost. Tried to get costs back from company and they refuse to even discuss but insist i take down my accurate review.

we went back to inspect at 11:30 on Sunday but not a single thing had been done, The house was exactly as we left it. After trying to contact the cleaner a number of times to no avail, we called the office and he finally called me back. He started the job at 12pm on Sunday, at 4pm i received an email to say the work was complete. I went back to the house to inspect and complete the exit report and to my horror and disgust only a quarter of the actual provided bond clean list had been completed.

Both my real estate agent and I have tried many times to get in contact however as they are Indian and do not speak great English all of a sudden, i cannot get my money back or another cleaner to rectify the issues.

I have had to pay the real estate to have a recommended cleaner start again.

Do not use Lica – Please stay away from this service. Extremely stressful Bond service, had to hire another cleaner to go into the small 2 bedroom we were leaving. We had to tell them numerous areas to re-clean and they still did a terrible job. It took them, then ourselves, then finally another cleaner we paid for areas we couldn't do to come in. We had bond money deducted from us, on top of having to pay Lica $350. Extremely unprofessional and disorganised.

was due to arrive and said that we hadn't paid and that unless we paid $300 cash upon his arrival he would not come. I then refused and sent him screenshots of my payment. He then turned up 5 hours later and demanded $350 more than we had paid stating that sliding doors are not included, one room was larger than he thought and that vacuuming a staircase was not included. It's a tiny 2-bedroom townhouse!

Not only were they trying to hold us hostage (knowing that it's a bond clean and the house had to be handed over) by being late, we were unable to hand the house back on the Friday and we had to pay 2 more days rent! Then they continued to refuse to work unless we paid this extra money.

In the end I went ballistic at three levels of phone operators at their head office until finally, after 30 minutes of screaming at them, they agreed to do the clean as their website stated. They tried everything to extort more money from us and I bet most people give in long before me.

Do not use them!!!!!!!

Worst place to get your job done – Deposit Booked it for $50 and 6hrs late. And asking for extra $50 for cleaning the kitchen. Beacuse it was too dirty. Why the heck would I hire a cleaning service if I want to clean the it and give the job to them and pay them for it. It's a joke. Never recommending them to no one. Can to cancle I have to pay extra.
