could given the circumstance. However, upon requesting for a refund of shipping fees, i was sent an automated receipt stating they'd refunded only $50 (instead of $77) with no further communication.

The bed frame is great - though it did come with an incorrect piece (two left slats).

This experience was truly frustrating.

beginning of December to advise that the original bedside tables I ordered are no longer the right size, I scheduled for them to be delivered on 24 Dec. The day prior I received a text to say they are now being delivered in late January 2026 - 5 months after the original order.

I have also noticed that they have reduced the price on their website from $823.65 to $700.10 each and despite me ordering them in August and still not having received them, no price difference has been refunded.

The response from Life Interiors has been disappointing and they have cited an apparent policy which allows them 90 days leeway from the original estimated delivery date.

I am also concerned that that advertising of delivery dates on the website is misleading and should be looked into.

DO NOT BUY FROM LIFE INTERIORS

interiors again to find out what we should do with the damaged print, and spoke to Victoria. She stated that they had heard back from the supplier and I could keep the damaged print, and a new one would be sent out to us.

Less than a week later, I’ve received the correct print which looks amazing. Although the wrong print was initially sent, we are more than happy with the response from life interiors. The issue was immediately rectified and the staff were all extremely prompt and friendly. I would absolutely purchase from them again, and overall had quite a positive experience!

great anticipation and excitement. 4 months after my original purchase I was finally going to get the side table I had hoped for in my first order. The delivery guys arrived yesterday but the table they presented me with was NOT the one photographed although the marble was similar. I decided that it was not worth the trouble of going through the process again. The table I received is good enough but why send a photo for my approval only to give me something else. I tried to speak to Angelique in the warehouse (the girl who sent the photo) but was told that I would have to go through the original 'customer service' channels again. Honestly I was to fed up with the whole drawn out process again.

Do not expect your stone topped Avalon bedsides to match ! To be fair I have purchased a whole apartment of furniture from life interiors before and it was perfect but the marble tops on the Avalon bedside tables do not remotely resemble each other My complaint was met with sure you can return them BUT YOU WILL PAY : RETURN TRANSPORT INSURANCE 25% RESTOCKING FEE So really my only option is to buy another one and hope it comes close to matching one of the ones I have already purchased. The response over the phone was basically bad luck it’s a natural product but as you can see from the photos these are completely different marbles after emailing I received an automated email notifying me of the details of returning the product but no dollar figure so I’m guessing there would be very little change. I fully understand it’s a natural product and expect slight variations but this is too much !

offered me a $50 gift voucher to use with them, knowing very well I never wanted to purchase anything from them again. Then when the bed finally arrived, the size of the slats was incorrect so I still could not use the bed. Gave me their word that I would speak to a manager. Did not happen - big surprise! Called back two days later and they still had not ordered the correct bed slats in. Tried to speak to the person in charge of my case and she did not call back. They just don't care! It is not worth it. And I will definitely take it further.

Total scam. Advertise things they don't have available to send, and don't plan to send you. Wishy washy promises in emails with efforts to placate or delay admitting that they don't have the item they promised theyd send within 3 days. I never received my item and dont expect that i will. Nothing better than being put in an unmanned ticket system that regurgitates AI generated excuses. Where are the humans??? Customer service has failed to do anything substantial and asked me to keep hoping.

Despite multiple follow-ups, I received inconsistent updates and was repeatedly denied a refund based on a “no change of mind” and “special order” policy. To be clear, I didn’t change my mind—I simply didn’t receive what I paid for within a reasonable timeframe.

When I cited my rights under Australian Consumer Law, which states that goods must be delivered within a reasonable time, the company stood by its internal policy rather than acknowledging its legal obligations. I have since lodged a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading.

I would caution other customers to be very careful ordering large furniture items from this company, especially if timing matters. While the product range may be appealing, the risk of long delays and lack of accountability is not worth it.

Next day I received confirmation of delivery to occur within 48hr with a delivery time of 11:01am (allowing 2 hour window)

Day of delivery, text message confirmation that delivery was occurring that day with a link to track the delivery driver.

12 minutes before delivery was due, I received an email advising the delivery failed. When I contact customer service, they advised that they needed to order the chairs in and ETA was May 2025.

I asked for a refund, no response for 3 days. Finally they confirmed they’d received my email and that the refund team would need to process it.

It’s been 10 days since the last email and I still haven’t received my refund.

I wouldn’t have purchased if the chairs weren’t available. Not that I need to justify anything. This is outright misleading conduct and they should be held accountable.

I’d add photos but my chairs haven’t arrived. Nor has my refund.

stain on our brand new wool carpet. I was devastated! They didn’t even tell us. They simple assembled the bed and thought they could drive away. They were down the driveway when we had to chase them and pull them up on the grease stain. They didn’t want to take responsibility for that. After they left we noticed that our bed was in fact damaged/faulty. Every side was damaged and the headboard was on an angle that couldn’t be adjusted. I straight away called life interiors. The customer service wasn’t great. It took weeks for someone to come out and fix the carpet. Months for the bed to be replaced. It should’ve been a straight exchange but no they only wanted to replace parts not the whole. After almost 3 months of waiting we finally got our replacement parts this week. The whole process was a massive headache and the lack of care and communication was appalling. The bed was expensive and I expected better customer service or at least some compensation for all the stress and problems that they put us through.

I finally received the cushions, one of the inserts were the wrong size/shape. Contacted customer support again, and haven’t heard back. Judging from some reviews, I doubt there will be a resolution. Thankfully, my first experience were cushions and not a big purchase. For a retailer that market themselves as a quality provider and charge the prices they do - I have zero confidence in them. I’ve had much better experiences with deliveries from overseas.

False advertising - Beware of discount codes not working – False advertising - the discount code to sign up for being a new customer doesn't work then you spend half an hour on the chat with the person trying to convince it's not working. I was also told that Brisbane doesn't count for 'East Coast' shipping because of our location. We are actually on the East Coast!

they confirmed 1-2 weeks which was perfect for me.

On February 26th, I received an update that the full bedroom set will arrive in their warehouse on Feb 26th and it would take 7-10 business days from there to ship. More than double the length of time originally promised but I really had no choice to accept.

On March 5th, the delivery did come, but the dresser didn't (just the bedside tables). I followed up twice to find out what was going on. I was then told over email the date for the dresser to arrive was mid-late April. I raised my disappointment. Life interiors offered to refund the delivery cost which I accepted.

I followed up a couple of times in April. Their narrative was consistent throughout April that the dresser would arrive in their warehouse by late April.

On May 1st, I then got told the date was pushed out to May 15th and that I could buy another dresser if I wanted. I asked if I could get a refund for all items and they could pickup the bedside tables they already shipped (still packed in their boxes) as they were not needed without the matching dresser. They told me I would need to pay a shipping fee if they were to be refunded. I again decide I didn't really have much choice but to wait as I didn't feel I should be out of due to error by Life Interiors.

On May 17th. I receive a confirmation email the dresser is on its way.

On May 23rd, I receive an SMS from a company called Designer Transport asking me to confirm a delivery date. I select today (May 29th), and I take the day off work to receive the dresser at home. I then receive another SMS with the arrival time being 8-11AM. I wait till 11AM. No one arrives 11:45AM the delivery tracking webpage is still showing an 11AM arrival. I then receive a call from Designer Transport that the delivery did not make it into the state.

...so now I've spent $3000 on furniture more than 4 months ago that hasn't arrived.

To anyone looking to buy furniture - please learn from my mistakes as it has been an appalling experience.

I will receive 1 of the bedside tables on the 26th and can expect the 2nd bedside table end of May. Absolutely despicable! What an ordeal. I lost interest and will rather purchase from another company. They have however been good with processing my refund immediately so thankful for that.

the I paid over $350 for premium white glove delivery I did not receive that. Firstly it took 3 weeks to get from NSW to QLD. Then when finally out for delivery the driver just decided not to come that day despite the fact I could see it was onboard and counting down the stops. Several days later when it finally arrived the fragile mirror box was just dumped on our driveway. Nothing white glove about it. Annoying, but we put the mirror in the walk in robe and forget about it. 17 days later I notice a large gap between the mirror and the frame. Surely a $1,599 McMullin & Co mirror isn’t just falling apart? On closer inspection, yes, yes it was. The extremely thin strip of adhesive used to adhere the mirror to the frame had failed (the frame wasn’t level enough for this to be a suitable method of attachment) The additional back tabs were too flimsy to support to full weight of the glass and were bending outwards. The edges of the mirror had also shattered slightly when it dropped down. I contacted Life Interiors immediately and that was just the start of my customer service nightmare with them. It appears they try to stall you and insult you by asking questions like “did you use the mirror” in the hopes you will just forget about it. Eventually pick up of the faulty mirror including packing it was arranged. However a rude and aggressive courier just arrived with no notification and yelled at me about the packaging and refused to take the delivery. This courier company does not even have facilities to package so never should have been selected for the job. I have immediately been on the phone to LI, but all they can tell me is they will try to respond with in 2 business days again.

Terrible wait timr – Its been 4 months I order 4 bar stools, still not arrived. From past 2 months they saying its on transit but no sign on getting at home. Very frustrating, recommend not to buy if not on stock. They should only take deposit if uts taking time and ask n for remaining money once confirm delivery.
