lock worked for a while then died. cannot use the digram to change the battry. Did all the turn th lock 90 degrees anticlockwise. then slide the cover downwards. Well that is a bomb. I will have to buy a totally new lock way for locwood to make money! if I bother to buy this braqnd again! Totally inconvenient and knowing it is 4 A battries to replace. I would not have purchased has I realised this what a crock

My Lockwood Nexion lock has gradually failed. I have replaced the batteries in both remotes and the lock mechanism. When trying to unlock we get five short beeps and the internal lever appears to try to turn but doesn't and so the lock remains locked. If we try repeatedly to press the open button, after about five tries the lock sometimes opens. Initially a single repeat would work - now it is five or more. Clearly the lock is failing and we will be locked out if we do not replace it. Anyone know of a lock that will replace it without leaving too many holes in the door?

I cant answer this question but can tell you mine did the same thing installed November 2017 died December 2018 12 month warranty on the electronics. Locked me out late at night couldn't even use the key to open the door the hole mechanism frozen shut. Had to replace the lock with a different lock which turned the door to swiss cheese as the drilling pattern made it difficult to replace with a different brand of lock. Absolute garbage stay well clear that is why you get 25 year warranty on the mechanism and only 1 year on electronics.
