Poor service. Have had too many to and from trips. Rude at the warehouse. The customer service online is unreachable. We have ordered a 3 seater couch and a Ottoman and its been a week post the delivery date and we have not received a call yet. I highly doubt another purchase from this store. Poor customer service. that the issue would not be covered under warranty. This was extremely disappointing, especially considering the assurances we were given at the time of purchase.

Leather has wrinkles now all over and we use it just on the weekends.

Their products are positioned as premium and come with a higher price tag, but the quality does not reflect that. In our experience, the workmanship is poor. Customer service has also been unacceptable — once payment was made, communication became very difficult, and follow-ups were largely ignored.

We were clearly assured about the product’s quality and warranty coverage, but those promises did not eventuate when we needed support.

I strongly recommend shopping around before purchasing from Lounge Life. You can find better quality products and more reliable customer service elsewhere.

including multiple stains, pen marks, scratches, and an oily film.

From that moment, the company's entire strategy was to deny my rights under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. They immediately insisted the damage was "minor" and tried to force me to accept a repair, which is not their choice to make on a new, damaged-on-arrival item. 2. I had to formally quote the ACL and state that I had contacted the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) before they would even agree to an independent assessment. 3. The most telling part: their own specialist technician inspected the lounge and confirmed the damage was unrepairable.

This confirmed the item had major failures. Under the ACL, this gives me, the consumer, the right to choose a refund or replacement, which was my standpoint from the very start. When I chose a full refund, they again incorrectly stated they were "within their rights to offer a replacement over a refund."

Finally, after I stood my ground, they agreed in writing to a full refund. And now? A complete communications blackout. They have failed to arrange the collection of their faulty product and are not responding to my emails. They have my money, and I am stuck with a damaged, unrepairable lounge in my living room. I have now been forced to engage with and pursue mediation through the Office of Fair Trading and most likely escalate through the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal after that.

Plenty more photos of the damage/faults, however, I can only upload 10 images to this platform.

This isn't just poor service; it's a company actively trying to mislead consumers about their rights and breaching an agreed-upon resolution. Avoid at all costs.

balmoral is meant to be 102cm width which is 2cm wider than the Richmond I layed on in the Mt Waverley store. Contacted customer support and they’re being difficult saying it’s correct and because of being hand made sometimes minor measurement imperfections can happen. I agreed 5m 10mm not 80 mm over 3 inches. Be very careful as the Salesman Jack at this store never mention anything like this to me when I purchased say all sizes and measurements will be precise. Asked them to send out a technician to come measure with me and are being very difficult, won’t talk on phone just via email. Appalling behaviour. Cannot and will not recommend until this is resolved

leather recliner lounge for $7,700, which was delivered in April 2025. Upon delivery, the lounge had multiple defects, including sagging leather, variations in leather shade, height misalignment, and a malfunctioning recliner that beeps randomly.

After I reported these issues, your team was initially hesitant to acknowledge the quality problems. However, after persistent communication, the lounge was eventually picked up for inspection. Three months later, a replacement lounge was delivered. Unfortunately, the primary quality issue of sagging leather persisted in the new delivery. The lounge looks like 5 years old straight out of the box!

For several months, I pursued a resolution with your customer service department, who were consistently unwilling to accept the reported quality defects or process warranty claims. Eventually, they agreed to a full refund and to pick up the lounge.

However, when I provided my new address—due to unplanned roof renovations—your company then refused to honor the warranty, citing a clause in your terms and conditions that invalidates the warranty upon a change of address. This response is unacceptable given the chronic quality issues experienced with both deliveries and the fact that lounge should have been picked up the same week it was delivered after the quality issues were first raised but you guys took months instead of days even to respond back.

This matter will now be escalated to legal action. I will update this post with the outcome of these proceedings or store actions whichever happens first!

I anticipate a standard, insincere response to my review, consistent with what I have come to expect from your company. I question how a business with such apparent disregard for quality control and customer satisfaction can continue to operate in the Australian market.

I strongly advise potential customers to avoid this business to save themselves considerable frustration and financial loss.

 Follow-up  · After weeks of wait the lounge was finally picked up in October. Note that we raised this issue originally in April with the first lounge. within 48 hours they did not mention the fee . So be careful people as they are not doing the write thing by customer. Two other high-end stores told me that if cancel within 24 hours I should get a full refund.they have reach out and waved cost ,however been 2 weeks and still waiting for money not a small amount as they ask for a 1/3 of cost for deposit, took one month to receive my money after many calls .

costing over 3k new. they offered a cleaner which took months and never happened so i had to organise repair myself. its been three months of wasted time, back and forth emails which are lip service only, empty promises, and they still havent compensated me for the damage which they agreed to transfer a month ago but didnt. need fair trading to deal with them. any good reviews is bribery for discounts at the sales end. my advice would be use a well known reputatable professional company instead.

This is a cautionary tale. At the outset I should state that we made a mistake. We purchased a Sofa Bed from the Lounge Life store in Aspley QLD on the 1st September, during the purchase the sales staff were very helpful but quick to take our money. On returning home we remeasured the room the unit was going in and discovered that it would not… Read more

fit. When inside the room it would be physically impossible to enter without having to climb over the unit. In line with the terms and conditions we contacted the Aspley Store to cancel the purchase, it should be noted that under the terms and conditions cancellation is only available within the first 48 hours. This is when the problems started, we were informed by the Aspley staff that we had to contact Alexandria NSW to complete the cancellation, this we did immediately. After a telephone call from Alexandria the same day and an email regarding a cancellation fee we heard nothing until I contacted the customer support team on the 13 September and was advised via email that A dedicated team member will reach out to you via email within 24-48 business. No Contact was made; we again contacted them on the 16 September and again received similar information. I contacted them again on the 24 September stating that the refund had not been received and was advised that they were following it up. The refund was activated by Lounge Life on September 26 and arrived in my bank on the 30 September. The refund was sent to one bank account when the original transaction was made from 2 separate bank accounts causing us some administrative problems. It took the Finance Dept of Loung Life 4 weeks to provide a refund and then they could not get it right, this was in spite of the efforts of their customer service people. I believe that at best the Finance dept of Lounge Life are totally incompetent at worst they deliberately withheld the refund for as long as possible. To compound the matter, they still charged the cancellation fee although the held my funds for 4 weeks.
