I bought a Macpac camping chair which is so uncomfortable it is unusable. When I tried to leave a one star review on their website for that specific chair they did not publish it. There are 41 5 star reviews of this chair and nothing else. Illustrates zero customer service ethics.

First time i purchased a discount jacket the internal feathers started coming out i email them they sent back a 2 page objection letter i swore never to purchase but i gave them a 2nd chance they for got my geothermal top on in order so if you want crap service purchase but me i will not purchase anything again from macpac.

Rubbish – Collar stretched and collapsed after one wash. I advised them if this a couple of times but no response. Ironically they sent me a link to review the product out of the blue today (but the links only work if u select 4stars and above !

are no details under specifications as to which cups these fit only an advertising blurb under Description. A phone call to Macpac to sort the problem was pointless! The customer service representative had no idea which product I was talking about and didn’t even want my invoice number to check which item I ordered. She said she would ask her manager and after a brief moment came back with “sorry, don’t know what you are talking about”, and that was the end of the conversation. Product knowledge and training is much needed with your team Macpac. In addition, Product Specs on your website and a helpful customer service attitude would avoid reviews like this! Since I’ve been brushed off by your company representative what do you suggest I do now with the useless product and the $ out of pocket?

Can't fault them – Have bought several items from their physical and online stores. Excellent quality, particularly the light (mid layer - great in Australia) and heavy (outer layer - minimum in Canada) down jackets.

Excellent service for broken zip in my Macpac jacket – Outstanding service to fix the zip in my Halo Jacket, a much loved after several years of shared memories in special locations. Macpac honoured the warranty, and promptly returned the jacket - well repaired. After sales service - so important. Thank you Macpac.

Impressed with my online shopping experience – The Macpac ski jacket I ordered online arrived this morning (17 June). After receiving an email advising me to expect it on Monday 27 June(!) and reading the negative reviews here, I wondered if I'd made a terrible mistake by ordering online. I'm very pleased with the jacket — the sizing is right, and it's good quality, comfortable and stylish. It was on sale too, at $70 off.

Terrible – I can see why all the negative reviews. Terrible service. Ordered online, received faulty product ($200 down jacket with extremely uneven down). Told me I can’t return it unless I travel hours to take it to a store to be “assessed”!! I explained it’s too far and now they are just not replying! Wow.

Worst purchase – This is the cheapest garbage. It comes all wrinkled not anything like the pics on their website. They are very thin… I want a puffy vest not just a vest. Waste of money, do not buy… you can go to TK MAXX and buy 2 designer puffy vests for the money I spent

anyway and now I'm left with nothing, no product and no money. Had I not been sent a faulty item from Macpac this wouldnt have happened and they simply don't care that they ignored my request. Terrible company to deal with, I will never shop there again or any of the Super Retail group of companies for that matter.

Totally a scam – Don’t buy anything from Macpac online store other than its official store. The rest are all scams. They have been keep changing there URL and name. But the content are exactly the same. Some more sponsored by google which makes it look so real. Once you paid, your money is gone! They use the same tactic!

They are a total scam, and look just like they would be the real thing, until you have paid - and bad luck - money has gone! They are thieves and scammers. Buy.Macpaconline - it is a scam – Similar to a couple of others - send me a cheap ring and then tried to give me a 15% refund and for me to keep the ring. My mistake should have been a bit more carefulbut thought i should put it out there

bank which I have of course. I suggested they may be interested in investigating as I have an email trail, contact details etc but the 'the vibe' I got was 'too bad too sad' - disappointing but my fault, however given the feedback from Macpac, I won't be purchasing anything from them again.

The shop is not genuine Macpac – Please note that this Macpac online store is not the original Macpac.Com.au store. It is base in China and products are coming from there so will take ages to receive. Whether it is a genuine product, hard to tell. If you want to buy macpac, buy from Macpac.com.au. I used to get a macpac invoice for purchases, but this website does not give you one, only provide a EMS number which is China shipping tracking

No customer support – When sending 3 x items via courier, they mislabelled and now it is weeks past the stated delivery date with no promise of ever delivering it. They don’t follow up with the courier, never contact you again after promising to.

Very poor customer service – I order a jacket online 7 weeks ago and after 3 weeks the order did not arrive. Macpac said to order the item again, place in my basket and let them know. They would honor the original price of the original order. After many emails, phone calls I am still awaiting a reply as the item is still sitting in my basket. They continue to lie saying someone will email or phone. The worst company I have dealt with.

BEWARE MACPAC'S SCAM DEALS – I responded to an online deal offering 2 x Georthermal (mens) tops for $50, or 3 x the same for $65. I needed 4 Geothermal tops - 2 longsleeve and 2 shortsleeve - so, thinking logically, thought I would order 4 x tops in the one order ... expecting them to be charged out at $50 x 2 = $100 total. But logic doesn't apply with MacPac online sales… Read more

so I was charged for 3 x tops @ $65.00 plus $49.99 - full price - for the 4th top. Therefore the total charged to the credit card used to pay for the 4 tops was $114.99 rather than the expected $100. I, unfortunately, understood that the extra $14.99 was GST which I believed was excluded from the $50 deal price. On realizing this was not the case after receiving the confirmation invoice, I e-mailed MacPac New Zealand's so called "customer service" but found the service sorely lacking, with no recognition of me being a 'valued customer'. They claimed the $114.99 charged to the credit card used to pay for the the 4 tops was correct based on the fact that I had ordered 3 tops for $65 plus an extra top for $49.99 ... ignoring that I had in fact ordered 2 x 2 tops for $50 equalling $100.

I e-mailed MacPac a reply to their response saying the abovementioned and that if they were going to insist on charging me $114.99 for the 2 x 2 tops for $50 deal, then they needed to cancel my order and refund the $114.99 charged to the credit card used to pay for the 4 tops. Blow me away ... they agreed, and replied to me saying they have cancelled my order and were refunding the $114.99.

So instead of valuing my custom and refunding me $14.99 for the overcharge on the 2 x 2 tops for $50, they would rather not do business with me. What kind of business behaves this way?! Disturbingly too, MacPac did not show any care or concern in response to me telling them in my final e-mail that I will NEVER, EVER, EVER, DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN ... online or instore. They also did not respond to me advising them too that just the day before I placed my order with MacPac, I had placed an order with North Beach New Zealand online This was in response to their deal offering 2 x hoodies for $80. Having ordered 4 x hoodies the total charged to the credit card used to pay for them was $160. Applying MacPac's logic to this business transaction, I would have been charged $80 for the first two hoodies and then full price for the extra 2 hoodies.

MacPac has its head office in Australia and I went to their website to find an e-mail address for their customer services department or whatever over there, but, there was not a single e-mail address to be found ... clearly they DO NOT WANT TO HEAR FROM CUSTOMERS WHO ARE DISSATISFIED.

Good value for money outdoor store – Good range of outdoor clothing for everyday wear or light outdoor activities. It's not your top of the line products but you get what you pay for. Prices are very good and there are lots of sales/discounts especially if you join the Macpac club.
