Hi everyone just needing the spark plug type and number for the mini rider 24inch we’ve fully charged the battery and still no go. Kid decided to take off with the spark plug and lost it
My partner has been trying to start our brand new mini ride on and had it going now can’t get it going again. Does anyone have a link to a video on how to start it as he’s a bit older and struggling. Is turning over just not fully starting
Attempt start, turn off, start again. I've found that constantly cranking 1st it may not start.

If the battery is a bit down on voltage, it will struggle to start as well. Even just a little bit.

Hey Rossi and Gerald, This issue was fixed by a little piece of electrical tape, I know other people will say not to but I am telling its the best thing I ever did to my Mini Rider. If you look when it is reverse, near the handle you move to make it go from Neutral to reverse there is a small switch that registers when the metal hits it. Put a piece of electrical tape on the handle so it doesnt register its metal. Then you can go in reverse and dont have to disengage the blades
too hard.just cut some 1/2in garden hose,slice it down the side & slip over the gear shaft.or easier just pull the push on cable fitting off the cut-out switch.this is the only ride-on i've ever owned with a cut-out for reverse.it's only there in case a cat/dog/ or child doesn't get run over.

Good Morning Cherrie, Unfortunately we do not supply batteries or chargers. If you require one places like Jaycar have both the charger part number with them is MP3312 and the battery is basically just an alarm battery NP4-12V 4.0 Ah. I hope this helps Regards Dale Tech Services Masport Aust.

The Masport mini-rider features a key-operated Briggs & Stratton pro electric start engine.
that doesn't answer my question why do you need to buy charger when there is a battery with a keystart
Hi Shaun. Sorry for the confusion. Essentially there is no requirement for a charger if the ride-on is used regularly. What unfortunately happens though is in the off-season, when the machine is being stored, the battery may go flat if not operated regularly. Therefore there is provision for an external trickle charger.
The engine has a small alternator, but this may not always be sufficient to fully charge the battery therefore a supplementary charge may be required from time to time.

I purchased a Masport mini approx 12 months go. The front tyre deflated and by the time I returned to my garage I found that the valve had retracted into the wheel. I managed to return it to its normal position and secured it in place, however, when I inflated the 'Tubless' tyre I found that the lower end of the valve, where it exits the wheel, was leaking air. It is possible that is why the tyre deflated in the first place. Where can I have this fault rectified. The last time I had a fault with a product from Bunnings Wharehouse I was told that they do not repair items and I would have to take it to a private workshop to have the problem rectified at my own expence.
