Excellent value vacuum cleaner – I was surprised by how powerful this vacuum is! Luckily you can easily adjust the power so that you can get it to move over rugs and carpet etc. The styling is nice and the onboard storage does the job. It looks to be well made and we've had no issues with it at all.  Show details

Great vacuum cleaner – So I purchased a Miele on the recommendation of a friend, and I'm happy with the C3. It has versatile tools included and the variable power is easy to use. Rubber on the sides on the machine make it easy ro manoeuvre around without having to worry too much about damaging paintwork. Very powerful and I haven't had to change bags too much.  Show details

Great carpet vacuum – The performance of this vacuum is incredible. We were going to buy a Dyson, but were persuaded to buy this product and have never looked back. Great suction for carpet, lightweight and easy to manoeuvre. Also comes with small attachments for couch, car and other tricky areas. Highly recommended. :)  Show details

Difficulty making the floorhead move over carpet – I purchased the C3 at David Jones on New Year's eve - it was on special for $314. I was tempted to buy a C1 as it was lighter but the C3 seemed better value given the $200+ discount. The machine looks great and my mother also has had a Miele for a number of years so I have no doubt about the quality of Miele vacuums. HOWEVER, when I attempted to… Read more

use the vaccum for the first time at home, I soon found out that I have a problem. The suction is too strong - the floorhead gripped the carpet and I am unable to vacuum with ease. Only when I reduced the power to the lowest setting was I able to make the floorhead move which appears to defeat the purpose of a buying a vaccum with strong suction.

I have pure wool soft underfoot carpet purchased and installed by Flooring Choices in early 2017.

Today I rang the Miele service centre - when I mentioned this problem the operator told me that my vaccum may have a fault - I do not think so - it is working perfectly well - the floorhead just does not glide across my carpet. I think that the problem is the suction and/or the universal floorhead is not suitable for my carpet. I was not aware of this issue previously - however google reveals that this is a common problem in new "soft" carpets. The service centre operator whilst pleasant and polite told me to take the vaccum back to David Jones for investigation. This a huge hassle to have to cart a heavy machine back into a shopping centre.

NOT that great – I just bought this vacuum, and i find it actually quite hard to push along the carpet but not because of the suction, I looked under the head and there is only one wheel at the base which is suppose to help it slide but the head gets stuck on the built in metal and material section. This is quite annoying, compared to my 7 year old Electrolux… Read more

super cyclone which had 3 wheels. Maybe i need a power head or something but i don't really want to spend another $180 for it!! Also the bags are really expensive, like $25 for 4 bags. I haven't tried to see how long the bag will last for. There is some cheaper options if you buy a box of 16 works out to around $80 which is $5 per bag. There are 2 good things about this vacuum, is that everything clicks in rather than the tubes being rammed in. Also its very quiet compared to my other vacuum. The suction isn't amazing though, but definitely better than some $200 vacuums i ended up returning. I got this from Bing lee for $340, but keep a look out for sales ive seen it for about $290.

Extremely well designed and very effective – This vacuum has been very well designed, is good on hard floors or carpets, has a number of power setting and I rarely even need to use the most powerful setting. One downside is it has bags but they are fairly cheap to replace. Easy to maneuver with a number of additional attachments.  Show details ·  1

Best thing that happened to my floors! – I love how it cleans away plus the 3 extra heads come in handy for the nooks and tights areas. The extra long power cable means I don't have to keep changing the power points in every room as I clean. The noise levels mean that my kids don't have to hide  Show details

Great suction! – This is a great vacuum. I have moved over from a Dyson and am impressed at how much more power this has. You are able to pick the amount of power, and I struggle to lift the head from the floor on the highest settings. It is also much more lighter than my old vacuum, making it easier to use. My only concern is that it is a bagged vacuum, meaning there are ongoing costs, but the bags do last for a long time.  Show details

Worked well so far after 6 months of frequent use – This vacuum has worked well so far after 9 months of frequent use (twice a week). It is considered quiet compared to other models. However it is a bit heavy to carry around the house. All the accessories are very useful. It can also stand upright for easy and space-saving storage. Best of all, it was purchased during an offer in which you could trade in the old vacuum for a further discount.  Show details

Work Horse – Completely satisfied with my puchase, was planning to buy a dyson earlier but found it very heavy and cumbersome to use, then was recommended this product by the salesman found it really compact light and easy to use, plus the decades old legacy of the brand, had no second thoughts....Great product.  Show details

It's a Dream! – You seriously can't beat this vacuum cleaner - it's the ducks nuts! I looked into vacuum cleaner reviews before I bought & boy am I glad I spent a little extra & got this one. We have a large house with mixed carpet & tiles so I needed something that was going to work equally good on both surfaces. What I Love The suction on this is out of this… Read more ·  1

world & has 6 suction levels.

For me it's noise level is ok (doesn't wake my baby when I vacuum right near him)

The wand has a super easy adjuster & has the capacity to be one of the longest wands I've seen on a vacuum (while remaining very sturdy)

It wheels all ways - forwards, backwards, side ways. And moves smoothly & easily.

There's a window which tells you how full the bag is.

The cord is a little longer than a standard vacuum.

Did I mention the suction?

Cord retracts with one tap of a button.

Brush kits etc fits tidily in a compartment on the vacuum.

It's not super light but it's not heavy either. A nice solid weight that isn't flimsy or cheapo.

This seriously is my dream vacuum & im high 5ing myself on buying it.

What I Don't Like

I don't like that you need to replace the bags but the fact that I love everything else about it makes this irrelevant.

I can't recommend this vacuum enough. I'd generally go for one around the $200 mark but I am glad I spent the extra money & got this one - it's an absolute dream!

Top quality low price – This vacuum is amazing. It doesn't scratch timber flooring, it isn't too loud. It is compact so can easily be hidden away in a cupboard, easy storage. Miele are built to last definitely, the motor has alot more grunt then some other brands and this strong suction picks up even the smallest fibres. Amazing!  Show details

Well thought out design – Only just bought this the other day, great suction and can't fault the design, everything you need but nothing excessive. LOVE the compartment for attachments. And 360 degree wheels, foot buttons and the one touch cord winding are cool too. Also love that there are 3 places to clip the vacuum head on when you take a break or store it - on the… Read more

back when horizontal, and 2 on the sides when upright in storage. And the vent on the top of machine means you can vacuum in the upright position without overheating, which is great for my carpeted stairs.

Bought the C3 since the bags are bigger than for compacts, so should be cheaper in the long run, and is better quality than the C1. Only negative so far is I feel a bit bad about having a bagged vacuum cleaner. Bags are expensive and adding to landfill, but I'm hoping it will last a long time to offset that.

Fabulous! – I have had my Miele for a year now and couldn't be happier! Great suction!!... Actually..very strong suction but you can choose the strength. You do need to buy bags, but they do last awhile depending on your circumstances...that doesn't bother me as I have the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned.  Show details

Best Vacuum and Brand – The performance is wonderful. It has strong suction, is quiet, light and easily maneuverable on both carpets and hard wood floors. It comes with on board attachments and a swivel rotating tube which makes vacuuming so much easier. Different foot attachments are easily purchased for other purposes e.g. pet fur.  Show details

Worst Product Ever! – This is the worst product i've ever experienced. It was a faulty piece to begin with. It used to stop unexpectedly and then start again. I was on a vacation and i didn't have time to use it so when i returned after 20 days the seller declined to replace it and repaired it free of cost. It didn't work well and i had to resell it for cheap. Don't buy it.  Show details

Best vacuum I ever owned! – I am so impressed with this vacuum cleaner. Purchased on sale at Myer (only $379). Best I ever owned. The power and suction is amazing, and almost too powerful on highest setting. Amazingly quiet. Easy to manoeuvre and the 11mtr cord is very handy. Fantastic!! I've owned some more expensive brands, including bag less which kept getting blocked, but this Miele is so much better. Highly recommended.  Show details

Great design and function. Hopefully it has most of the durability of its predecessor – I purchased this vacuum cleaner to replace a Miele S272i which finally expired after more than 30 years use. This might say as much about my vacuuming habits as it does about the durability of the old Miele but suffice to say it has done a lot of work in that time including cleaning up after various interior renovations in my apartment over the… Read more

years. The Complete C3 has many improvements in design and function. It has much greater suction, it is lighter and the components clip together firmly. The accessories lid on the old S272i popped off occasionally.

If the Miele Complete C3 is half as durable as the old S272i, it gets a five star rating from me.

Best vacuum! – The suction on this vacuum is fantastic. I was hesitant to buy because I didn't want the ongoing cost of the bags but to be honest it is worth it. The bagless vacuums I have had in the past have nothing on the Miele because they didn't pick up as much dust as this one does. The bags don't have to be replaced as frequently as I thought but I guess that depends on how much you are vacuuming up.  Show details

Noisy but brilliant – It's old its taken a beating so lets replace it with a Dyson. Nothing wrong with the Dyson but its no better than our age old Miele and the Miele was less than half the price. 10/10 to the sales guy we were going to buy another Miele and he convinced us the Dyson is better. On paper yes in practice no. If you use the Miele consumables the only… Read more

advantage the Dyson has is no consumables but the front foot is wearing out and will need replacing after 2 years. The Miele is still going now used for the weekly car cleaning. The indignity of age to such a great vacuum. The Dyson will one day be a Miele again.

Absolutely love this vacuum!!!! – Glad I didn't settle for the China made Wertheim vacuum from Godfreys that they were trying to sell me. This German made vacuum is unbelievable. Just picked one up today and it works like a treat. Amazing suction, powerful, very easy to move and I loooove how I can get around the house thanks to the long power cord.  Show details

Very disappointing – I bought this vacuum cleaner based upon many reviews and recommendations of this brand by friends. It worked well the first month I used it, but when I replaced the filters and the bag it seemed that the bag would never sync up with the suction hose, and the whole interior of the case would fill with debris. I tried everything from changing the… Read more

bag and filters more frequently, which was very expensive, to using a lower suction pressure in case that was what made it fill too much, but nothing helped. Eventually the machine broke 6 months in, and now miele will not honour my warranty as they say it is 'User negligence' as I did not use filters or the bag correctly. I find this incredibly upsetting as I have basically been told I am a liar, and am now left with a $400+ piece of junk that never worked properly after the first month. I will be going back to Dyson and bagless vacuums forever after this experience.

Great so far, Destroys cat hair without a powerbrush – I bought this on sale from Myer (who were helpful for once), to replace my Coupe Neo Nilfisk which was a kickass cheap unbreakable vacuum. It used to take 20 minutes to get the cat fur off the carpet with the Nilfisk (every 3 days). The Miele does it in 5 minutes. I love the dust filters as it does not kick up dust at all. and blows air up instead of along the ground.

Amazing! – Amazing vacuum! I've previous had bagless models from different brands and they were ok but not as good as my new Miele. Excellent value and super performer – We both love this machine. We used to own a Nilfisk, then a Miele and have also used a few Dyson uprights. Not very impressed with the Dyson at all! Powerful suction, low noise and light – Got this model from Myers to replace our old Volta, and probably one of the best purchase I've made this year. Amazing! – This is a review for the c3 model that usually costs around $329. DO not spend $100 on a vacuum! DO not spend $800 on a unique design with big marketing cost built in! Much better than expected – Brought the Miele Complete C3 Family All Rounder vacuum today to replace our Dyson. not move it. Reducing the power was easily done with power control button on the back of the vacuum. The Miele is also much easier to store than our previous machine, with a position for the wand on both sides when in the upright position, and on the back of the vacuum when the machine is on its wheels. I brought the Miele from The Good Guys at a very reasonable price of $349. As if that was not enough, Miele are currently giving away a bonus 4 boxes of vacuum bags (4 bags per box) worth about $100 via a mail back redemption up until 3rd of April, 2016.

Excellent vacuum cleaner – I absolutely love this vacuum cleaner. It's my second one (I gave my previous one away to someone who needed it - it was still going strong after 11 years). swivel well - it's excellent quality in general. The best thing is the hard floor attachment. I use it on my floorboards, carpet, window sills and I even vacuum the bath tub! Very Light, great suction, bargain vacuum – I'm so pleased with this vacuum cleaner, it's suction is amazing, it rotates and gets in corners easily and most importantly its easy and light to take around from room to room. I was lucky because Myers have them at 25 percent off till the 4th March, and I got a bargain! This is made beautifully in Germany and a tough quality that you won't often see nowadays. This is my new vacuum, will last for many many years to come!

Very good for the price – This vacuum replaced a very reliable 18 year old Nilfisk King. I was really happy with the Nilfisk and would have bought the same brand again, but now they're just too expensive. I paid $349 for the Miele and for the price it's great. It has really strong suction, good included tools and is easy to manoeuvre. About the only complaint… Read more

is that it is pretty noisy, and it blows the hot exhaust straight up in to the room. The Nilfisk (and others) have their exhausts concealed around the body of the vacuum which is both quieter and less annoying as you don't get blasted with a hot stream of exhaust air while vacuuming.

But I would certainly recommend it. It's made in Germany and comes with a two year warranty, so fingers crossed it'll last 18 years too!

Awesome vacuum cleaner! – I bought the Miele Complete C3 Family All-rounder Vacuum a few months ago from the Good Guys and I cannot be more happier with this product. If you're considering a new vacuum, I would suggest you take a look at the Mieles.
