Best decision I ever made – Now after releasing my old dyson dc08 was ending it's life span after 15 years the option for me to keep fixing it was no longer viable. After using my mother's miele vacuum cleaner I was shocked by the suction power on offer. After deciding to buy our new miele c3 complete in mid 2023 I was blown away by the power, turbo head, and ease of… Read more

purchasing spare parts IF THE NEED was to ever arise. I was very worried about the cost of bag replacements as our old dyson being bagless, and considering we use the miele daily with 2 kids, shockingly found out we get 3 months per bag before needing to change it out. Only negative I have so far of owning the miele c3 is if you use the standard floor attachment and turn the power up to much I found out it will happily lift the carpet up and anything else too, the maximum power setting I would only recommend for the turbo head or if you are trying to suck some seriously dirty carpets. I would happily recommend the c3 complete it's a amazing vacuum cleaner, and one I am now much happier with and not a noisy as the dyson.

Stay away from Miele – Owned 2. Both lasted about 7 years. Very pleased. Bought a 3rd. Broke down after 20 months. Motor seized and chord retractor broken. Miele refuses to fix. Says it's my fault because there's dirt in the motor. I replaced the filters every time I bought a box of bags. I was told by the tech if I wanted to fight the decision that I "didn't have a leg to stand on." Needless to say, I recommend not buying anything Miele. Show details

Our 3rd happy Miele vacuum purchase in a row! – We bought the C3 Turbo to replace a Miele that was over 10 years old. The older vacuum was still functioning, however, we wanted to upgrade to a more powerful unit. The C3 Turbo is perfect for our needs. The suction power is significantly improved over our previous model despite it using less power. The ability to select the different surface… Read more ·  1

types via the easy to +/- buttons makes perfect sense for us, as we have tiles, carpet, rugs and hardwood at home. The size and location of the buttons mean you don't even have to stop what you're doing to bend over.

We're happy with the addition of the one press cord retract function as it now means you don't have to keep your foot on the retract button (one press is enough). The TurboBrush head has been redesigned and is now smoother across carpet, while somehow being more effective.

Replacing the bag and HEPA filter is as easy as it possibly could be, as is general cleaning and maintenance of the product.

Having a Dyson in the house as well, we are able to compare it to the Miele and honestly it reaffirms our belief that cordless/bagless is no substitute for the raw suction power of a regular vacuum. Our next vacuum will also be a Miele as we've never been disappointed.

Good vac BUT doesn’t have HEPA filter – I had a Hoover for 10 years and was due a new vac. After research I felt Miele was going to be the best. This version was on sale at Harvey Norman’s but it wasn’t til I was there that I realized this version didn’t have a hepa filter. My 10 year old Hoover had a hepa filter and my family all had bad allergies so I wasn’t sure what to do - the… Read more

saleswoman gave me fair arguments for both the more expensive hepa one and for the one I came to buy but said she had the cheaper one and it was fine so I went with it in end but I do regret this now.

You can smell it now when vacuuming - even with a newer bag change that’s only had a couple uses and everyone’s allergies get really bad after I vac. I never had the smell from my hoover but have noticed it when using other people’s vacs. That aside, it is nice and light to roll, maneuvers well, really quiet, and has good suction that is easy to adjust - can barely push when on full, it sucks so well. I have a mixture of floors - carpet, vinyl timber look flooring, timber floorboards and tiles.

So In the end, I would recommend the Miele as it is a good machine but just the models that have a hepa filter.

Love It - Best Vacuum Cleaner I Have Had – Love my Miele vacuum cleaner. It is the best Vacuum cleaner I have owned and I have owned a few in my time. Purchased the vacuum about 18 months ago and I still love it. Suction is great and never fails. It is easy to manoeuvre around the house, the bags last for a long time and it's just a pleasure to use. I was so tired of my other vacuums… Read more

losing suction after the first six months. I consider this a great investment.

I did lots of research first and from the numerous reviews saying how great the Mieles were, I decided to go ahead and purchase the Miele SGDAO. It's an all-rounder vacuum cleaner. I use it mainly on a flat carpet, but also on my lounge room rug. In fact, the suction even on the lowest level is so great that it pulls the rug up from the floor, so I have my son hold the ends down while I vacuum it.

The most lovely thing is the colour...I know that sounds bland, but I was tired of the standard red vacuum from Volta and co. Mine is a lovely metallic silver.

I'd most definitely recommend a Miele...more expensive, but worth the investment.

Great vacuum that has powerful suction – Vacuum used on thick wool carpet, vinyl plank flooring, rugs and tiles. No matter the surface needed to clean this vacuum completes its task with ease. Smooth transitions and variable suction levels guarentees floors cleaned thoroughly. Stable and easy to slide accords all floor types. Show details

Best vacuum cleaner ever – I used on hard floor and carpet. Love the turbo head that come with it. The turbo head making carpet cleaning so easy and saving so much time. What a price for such a great performance. I checked the price for the turbo head alone it costs you $175 so what a bonus. Very happy with my decision Show details

Powerful cleaner and easy to move around the house – We have used this vacuum on a variety of surfaces: rugs, carpet and hardwood floors. Good: It is great at sucking dirt up - so long as the filters and bags are relatively clean. Like other bagged vacuums it does lose suction if it is getting full. It rolls around really easily which makes it a delight to vacuum the whole house. There are no… Read more

issues with it being caught anywhere or tipping over. It’s the easiest vacuum cleaner to move around I’ve ever had! Even on deep pile rugs it wheels around easily. Short of a cordless vacuum, this really makes it easy to vacuum the whole house.

The heads are easy to switch around which is great. The turbo head that came with this vacuum gets hair tangled in it very easily. However, it is very easy to clean it as the head can be easily taken apart with some basic tools.

The replacement bags and filters seem quite expensive though.

I would recommend this vacuum cleaner!

It is noisy – It is good at cleaning, but a lot noise. I just can just it once a week. And the volume is too big, my house is small, so that I am going to buy a smaller one. But the function of it is not bad and inexpensive. Good luck with it  Show details

Not good – Broke after six months , I didn't barely use this brand only ever really give times. Then next minute I go to use it and it's doesn't even work at all. I did like the suction though it vacuumed every bit of dust or stuff of my floors. So likes that part . But long term not sustainable .  Show details

Design fault - – I did alot of research before spending triple what other ones were. My husband used it once and replaced the bag upside-down. I can't believe there is a way it could close and run after being put in the wrong way without me knowing. The dust then collected outside the bag. I tried a number of times to fix but didn't realise it was in the wrong… Read more

way. To me this is a design fault. Why is there not a bit that stops it being incorrectly fitted. A simple plastic piece would stop this . I was gutted to realise a vacuum that I had had for less that a year was stuffed and they didn't want to know about it. I can't afford to replace so gone back to my cheap one . Not spending money again . Waste of time . Also got a washing machine thinking I was buying the best. Wouldn't spend the extra again . Very disappointed in meile !!

Miele vacuums always outperform bagless ones – Reliable vacuum, impeccable vacuuming. Dust bags are in my opinion far better and more hygienic solution than bagless vacuums. I would like to have an option to get covers for air filter, as they only come with the bags. Other than that no complaints. Have been using it daily for the past 10 years now and still works as a charm! Show details ·  1

Amazing vacuum cleaner – Great vaccuum cleaner, I use this all the time. Find the suction power to be good for carpet and hard floors. Attachments are handy, especially the crevice cleaner and I use the brush one on upholstery. Easy to empty, don't have to replace bag very often. Would recommend. Show details ·  1

Had buyers regret, but pleasantly surprised – Bought this vacuum from Harvey Norman for $400. Was a bit of an impulse buy and regretted spending so much on a vacuum. Lets be honest, doesn't look as cool as a Dyson either. Realising I couldn't return it, I accepted I would just have to put up with a $400 "waste" instead of getting a $50 one from Coles. always used cheap vacuums and never felt the power of a true vacuum, basically ripped the carpet off my floor. It just works, gets all the dirt out of the carpet and tiles with no extra sweeping, doesn't get plugged. Old school tech isn't as fancy as dyson but it's been refined for a longer period of time, and is very reliable.

The only thing they should change is to get some Industrial Designers to make it look less dated.

colour. Its great on all types of flooring and easy to carry up and down the stairs. And bagged vacuums do clean much better. Cannot fault this machine at all. I originally wanted the blue comfort total care for the handle, however the sales lady insisted that there was no point unless I wanted to spend an extra $300 just for the handle. The machines have all the same power its just extra accessories. Thank you so much Miele for such a great machine.

Great but loud – This vacuum is great. It has very powerful suction and the extendable handle does go along way. The auto cord retract is useful as well. The levels of suction are tailored to different flooring needs. However, it is very loud. I don't expect it to be quiet but it is louder than any other vacuum i have used in the past. I would still recommend it though Show details ·  1

Very happy with my purchase – Prior to purchasing the vacuum I read several reviews and found this exercise very helpful in choosing a bag vs bagless vacuum. an extra carpet attachment and all of the usual little tool attachments which are stored away neatly. The vacuum glides along easily and the cord is a good length. I like that the vacuum can stand upright so easy to store in a cupboard. Great all rounder – I use our Miele for short pile carpet and also wooden floors and tiles. Miele definitely have a very nice vacuum cleaner. Is it better than Dyson?
