Why is the control panel light on continually

Its a Miele & will cost you a fortune to repair. Don't believe the marketing hype - they will not help you, but will be willing to fix the faulty unit at an exorbitant cost.
I would like to know if the surface scratches . I am either going to buy a gas cooktop or induction, but just worried about the durability of the induction cookto.
Can someone let me know what they have found?
Hi no it doesn't have a problem to get scratch at all , I am very happy with that . Only use a cream after about 5 cooking times and it's shinny like a mirror .
