O--o has just appeared on mine too. The cover has unglued itself and I have been able to get by by putting cardboard in between to keep the cover level. When the cover "slips", nothing works. But now "O--o" wont go off. Based on reviews I have read here, sounds like its not worth replacing with another Miele, even though it's all integrated in the kitchen.

They are a Pile of Steaming Dog Poop....buy a Panasonic and don't by Mie le again... problem fixed!!!

EASY ! Make sure to clean all surfaces with white spirit. Then apply double sided tape on the door and press it firmly.

Easy job just take of outer casing , noting the different length of screws, bulb is easy to access once removed

Hi Mike, am using a spare Westinghouse at the moment, until I can find time to purchase a new Panasonic.

I haven't checked that out yet, not in detail anyway. And I'm still in negotiations with Miele who, presumably, will work out the product that will fit the cavity built for the 8261.1! I may be able to answer your question by the end of this decade, hopefully!

Hey Mike & Lou - did you ever find a microwave that fits well in the space of the 8261.1? We have bought a house that has 4 Miele appliances built in together and the microwave has no sign of life.... might cut my losses and replace rather than call out for repair!!

Problem solved....worked out how to re-set the clock on my microwave ! Happy to help anyone else, if they are having the same problem
