Great product and even better service – After making a purchase for an outdoor setting and play kitchen for my little boy I was extremely happy with both the quality and the customer service. The kitchen arrived 3 days after placing the order and my son couldn't be happier. I am still waiting on the outdoor setting as this was being made to order so will follow up with another review once received. Personally I would absolutely recommend Milan Direct :)  Show reply

Eames Reproduction Black - Design problem – After just on 24 months of very occasional use I have experienced problems with this product. It seems to be a design flaw. The upper surface of the chair is leather but the backing surface is a synthetic material. As a result it does not stretch like the leather surface and so has split along the stitching in at least 6 areas along the bottom.… Read more

I'm not a heavy individual (approximately 68Kg) and the chair would have been used for no more than 200 hundred hours at most over this time. When I contacted MD I was told that it is out of warranty and there is nothing they can do. It seems to me that this is a design flaw as the seat is designed to stretch as it is free floating and if leather was used on both sides I can see this being fine. As it is; I can only imagine this will occur on every chair (faster for heavier individuals and more frequent users) so I would advise against purchasing this chair as even if you purchase the extended warranty, the problem will occur after any replacement has been issued to you.

BUYER BEWARE! – Luckily I purchased through eBay and was covered by them. Goods arrived damaged and missing parts from Milan. I requested a refund. The staff gave me the run around for months and were very rude and unhelpful. eBay were fantastic in helping with the refund. Buyer beware and steer clear of Milan Direct.

to the frame of the chair via a series of Velcro strips so it was relatively easy to replace. Fast forward a further 12 months and the same thing has happened and I have again contacted Milan Direct who have now been acquired by Temple and Webster. Whilst I am disturbed the button has fallen off again I have offered to buy another cushion to replace it but after some delay in responding Temple and Webster have confirmed they do not supply replacement cushions any longer? I do not want to buy a full chair for the sake of a button and the way the compression button is secured does not make it a simple upholstery job.

It is completely unsatisfactory that Temple and Webster have simply decided they will not provide spare parts that were available previously and have no other solution or advice.

Poor customer service should not be tolerated just because a firm is acquired or taken over.

I have sent photos of all broken chairs and asked for replacements considering, It's not just 1 chair but all 4 have done exact same thing. Clearly there is a manufacturing fault. I was sent an email saying you are out of warranty so please dispose of chairs if they are unsafe? We paid $500 to be told throw them away and sorry we can't help.

We are seeking legal advise for my partners injury and have contact the consumer laws association who have advised us we are within our rights if the goods are deemed unsafe!

I would never purchase from this company again and plan to spread the word!!

Summary:

• 21st December – 28th December – emails with Milan to the return of drawers and sorting a part refund for the desk we received

• 30th December was the last proper contact with Milan Direct

• From 02nd Jan I have sent 3 emails which were ignored by Milan Direct

• 4th Jan – courier company agreed collection date with me

• 9th Jan – contacted courier company to see whether they could get Milan Direct to contact me re emails sent

• 10th Jan – [name removed] from Milan Direct contacted me explaining the other representative no longer worked there and how he could help to assist me…

• 10th Jan - I responded and up until today (16/01/17) I have sent 5 more emails trying to get a response and no one has come back to me!!!

This is by far the worst service I have experienced. All we want now is a full refund for the items because if we arrange the goods to be collected before this we feel that we will be ignored and probably wont receive our money back. Also looking at the other feedback on this site doesn't give me any confidence that I will receive a refund at all.

Up date: it's been 4 months since my first order of these and the department of fair trading are wanting to take this company to the tribunal. Milan direct has not contacted me nor contacted the department of fair trading.

I'm now requesting a complete refund for my order, and will be going to the media at channel 10 regarding all the compensation of demanages this company is putting people through like myself. This is not acceptable taking people's money and not delivering goods. Changing to Temple and Webster does not change the proceedings of fraud.

Delivery costs of $208.34 and items not delivered – The process Products purchased online store and the process was good but the product was not delivered they were dumped at a country post office, left outside with no security. Faulty products, no customer service. Consider other furniture companies online instead – I spent $1600 on a sideboard (of a $2700 total sale) which arrived very faulty, the paint is peeling on all the legs and the two draws are are chipped at the back so they do not roll in and out as easily as they should. email 7 days ago and I have had about 3 emails all saying the same thing - that they will be in touch soon. Seven days later, they have my $1600 and no resolution. This is very unprofessional and shows a great lack of care when it comes to their actual clients, happy to sell plenty of product and their website constantly tells you "who just bought what" with the annoying widget that keeps popping up, but when it comes to post sales services, and they have your money, there is no support.

Now they are moving all their brand and identity to Temple and Webster. This is probably because of all the bad reviews for Milan Direct. I will be taking further action for resolution. I have bought other furniture online, there are many good businesses out there and the smaller ones are better at customer service. You can also pick up the phone and speak with one of them. Better to invest your money here, even if you pay an extra 10%.

offered a store credit for the value of the faulty item, plus a credit for the discontinued item. I accepted this, although I'm still waiting for the store credit to be issued, no one is responding to emails and no one is answering the phone. It's been well over a month now, and the customer service has been shocking. Wish I'd read these reviews before using this company.

within 3 business days wasting another 3 more days, got an email mentioned that the item is not in stock and they do not know when the the back order will be arrived. They offered me a replacement with different items otherwise a full refund or store credit. So requested a full refund more than four times until today but no one replied at all for nearly a week. I sent 4th email today to sales@milandirect.com.au also CC to support@milandirect.zendesk.com and still no response and NO refund has been made yet.

After sending email, I received one big surprise email from them stated "We LOVE your feedback" for your recent Milan Direct Order! which I haven't even received the goods???

I will have to claim my money through the Department of Fair Trading if I don't hear from them by tomorrow.

Absolutely terrible experience with Milan Direct and they also ruined my family's Christmas preparation. Never again!

Milan Direct customer service is useless. The 1300 customer service number listed on their website answers with a recorded message telling us to send an email to sales@milandirect.com.au! Having sent through the email asking when we can expect the other chairs we received a reply email saying that all 6 had been despatched and that it was up to us to follow up with their transport company. The transport company has since provided proof that they only received 4 chairs. We can get no paperwork from Milan proving that 6 chairs were despatched. So where do we stand now. All we can do is email Milan Direct as frustratingly they do not have a phone line. Take my advice DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER WITH THIS COMPANY! Next stop for us will be Consumer Affairs.
