against. He mentioned two, one of which was Mint. After trying various providers since 1996 and having years of service and communication issues, I have finally found one who understands customer service. Being locally based in Hobart, they are easy to contact (responsive by phone or chatbox....a human answers the call and knows what they are talking about), friendly, helpful and their service is as described. I went for the 100/20 plan and just checked on ookla: 107/21 over the wi-fi. Brilliant. I think they guarantee 60 download at peak times because I'm in a FTTN-only area, which is more than adequate: the previous provider said 25 download was the best I could expect and that's all I got for about the same price. When it was working. Now it is up to 4 times faster. The modem came pre-configured, so it was a simple plug and play and every device connected seamlessly. Haven't tried connecting to the modem with a cable because I don't need more speed. I could not be more happy with the service.
Best ISP I have used. Highly recommended – Took me a while to select a new provider when I moved, previous house did not have nbn and 4G wireless was less than ideal. nice to talk to a real person after waiting less than a minute on phone. Got notified by txt that afternoon that my new service was active and the modem turned up in only two days, already set up for me. Everything was plug and play to get started. Speed is typically faster than estimate when signing up. Best internet service I have used so far.

I didn't think Customer Service like this existed anymore! – I had an interesting NBN install at the house, which both Telstra and TPG fumbled terribly. install and were trying to charge me for a second service due to their poor back end systems and terrible customer service. Mint however, were checking in weekly to see if I had any issues as they could see any usage of the data plan.
I finally moved in and had a small technical issue, which had been caused by my builder, no fault of Mint or NBN. That was quickly rectified and I connected straight away. I initially was getting sub par speeds or around 30Mbps, but after a knowledgeable conversation with Mint customer service, I upgraded my 4 year old router to a more powerful current model and I was achieving 107Mbps down. Hasn't missed a beat since install, and the customer service is still there checking in with me.

Passable product, terrible customer service – The product is whats advertised, good speeds and relatively stable connection. The problems lie in their customer service. was normal practice to suspend service after 3 days and wasn’t given any real answer. I explained my situation and apologised for my error and was told service had been resumed and that was the end of the issue.
Until the next bill where I have been charged a late AND dishonour fee adding roughly 50% to my bill. Which wasn’t mentioned once in my conversation with there billing team. In the current global climate this atrocious practice.
Unfortunately they lock you in for 6 months when you move over to them. So I’m stuck with them another 3 before I can finally leave without paying more fees.

Excellent service for NBN FTTC from an amazing ISP – I was after NBN and looked up all the different providers. I was recommended Mint from another happy customer. confidently talk you through what happens and the conversation is very casual and informative. This is such a different experience from the big Telco’s. I was absolutely amazed at the level of service. My FTTC connection is perfect in speed and function. With such friendly and local staff they can also talk you through ways to optimise the speed of the service and anything extra you need to know. I ended up moving from up in speed from 50/20 to 100/20 but only after an online chat with the technician who checked it would make a difference to my requirements. It feels like you have a friend at the company who is going the extra mile to do what you need. Ridiculously good service all round in an age of poor service from big companies who can’t actually help you at all

Absolutely love mint Telecom, I had issues with my internet for a year + with major companies I was constantly calling up complaining my internet was slow but they couldn't fix it, soon as I switched to mint, they fixed it in 2 hours, I'll stay with mint Telecom for life if possible! 5/5 and customer service is absolutely amazing! about. No being bounced around or sitting on hold forever, they answer within 30 seconds. They've helped me out a couple of times and were awesome each time. Plans are clear, no hidden fees, and no long contracts locking you in. It just feels like an honest company that genuinely cares about its customers. Big thumbs up from me. Excellent customer service! – Excellent customer service and technical support. With my previous provider, I had internet issues at home for about a week. Mint took the initiative to investigate getting the best performance which led to next day nbn technician upgrading fixed wireless hardware resulting in faster internet. 5 star provider, cheaper, faster, better service.
My first call to them was my last call – I called Mint and set up my nbn with them 4 years ago and have never called them since. The internet has been working flawlessly since then. I haven't had a single issue in 4 years!! Therefore I know nothing about their support quality and can't comment on that. Great Customer Service!! – I think the best thing about Mint is the ease of accessing customer service. There is always a contact to talk to, whether it is through the live chat on their website or a response via email or phone, I feel like they are always at hand when I need them. Exceeds expectations – Upgraded from 50/20 FTTN to 100/20 FTTP once it became available at my premises. I was notified of the availability of the FTTP to my house and upon acceptance of the upgrade I was provided with a two week installation time. the technician went out of his way to assist even though I did not have a Mint router. Once up a running it has been faultless and continuously exceeds the assigned download speeds.
Fantastic service – Our last IP provider we were having dropouts every day and night. We gave them the flick and signed up with mint telecom. New phone system is reliable quality is unbelievable. through, and that pricing for nbn is pretty much stitched up, we were seeking quality local customer service, and so far that is what we have received. When I call I speak to someone sitting here in the same state as me, who both understands our issues and is in a position to act to resolve them, without endless redirection to multiple departments each as powerless as the last.
Kevin (or Kelvin) was super friendly and helpful and even called after we had been connected for a while to check that things were going ok. Super happy and definitely recommend Mint.

Happy that I moved to Mint – I had my NBN with a leading phone company. All was pretty ok until one day when suddenly half of my devices could not detect the Wi-Fi. jump thru loops, and passing me from one department to another until I got sick of it and told them off. That was the moment I changed my service to Mint. Last week I had again a problem with the connection but this time my experience with the technical department from Mint was totally different. In a good way. They answered the phone straight away and the person who answered the phone helped me fix the problem in a few minutes. And to my surprise a few days later received a follow up email from him asking how my internet is working. Highly recommend Mint.

Mint telecom is mint as bro! – The Internet service is quite good, hasn't missed a beat. But the customer service is great. Customer service reps get back to you so quick and are very helpful. Great Speed & Local Australian Based Service – We transferred from iinet due to the speed of their NBN service reducing over time and performing poorly. We changed to Mint Telecom due to positive reviews from other friends (word of mouth) and have been very happy with the change. Exceptional service – We took the opportunity to change providers to Mint Telecom when we moved to Melbourne. On Telstra previously and we only getting 6Mbps speed on a 25Mbps connection in most cases. surprisingly quickly. Most service providers these days come back to you in a day or two.
On a 100Mbps plan we have consistently received the minimum 60Mbps promised, we have even stopped checking this as reliability is guaranteed.
Changing providers was well worth the hassle. You only do this once.
