This is a great product – Very strong air con unit and extremely quiet. I was very impressed with the quality of this product. I would recommend to anyone. temperature is 18 degree celcius. I wish the temperature could be set lower than that, so that in winter it could keep the room at about 14-16 degrees, for a comfortable night sleep. With minimum of 18 deg, the room will be either 18-20 degrees (a bit too warm, objectively) with the aircon on, or too cold with the aircon off. Not sure why the restricted the minimum to 18 degC... Overall it feels like a premium air conditioner product. Its energy efficiency is also quite good I believe.
Well timed with this Brisbane heat – It has made nights bearable, thank goodness. It cools the room amazingly quickly. Not the cheapest, but it works well so far. Show details

Unit seems good, arrived with internal fins squashed – Arrived with internal fins on interior unit squashed. When installer opened to complete installation filters noted it and manufacturer said preety much bad luck its already installed. Noisier than expected/advertised – We have a multi system with two 2.5 units in bedrooms and one 3.5 unit in open plan living room/kitchen. Like the energy efficiency and the design. every time the thermostat switches on/off. The problem is particularly bad in heating mode because the louvres move all the way to the horizontal position between cycles, then return to the fully down position (optimum position for heating). MHIA sent a technician to inspect and he said it is a design issue which cannot be fixed. Outdoor unit for the multi system is also a lot noisier than expected, and very noticeable indoors even with windows closed. Silent mode doesn't work with the multi outdoor unit. Remote is good except buttons and display are not backlit, so difficult to use in low light. Also, it needs to be pointed at unit to work.
Missed opportunity to be great – I bought two units, so my gripes don't relate to the odd fault. First the good. They are very energy efficient. The fans are good and do warm/cool the room quickly, and make a cosy airflow for getting changed or coming out of the shower. is defeated by the creaking sound of plastic rubbing over plastic because, unlike cooling mode where the vents stay open, on heating mode the unit wants to shut its covers when the room reaches the set temperature. So the sleeping occupant will hear both the plasticy rubbing and the whirr of the motor that shuts the covers. It wakes me every time so I have given up on a mild room to wake to on winter mornings. The timer won't help as the same sound patterns happen on start up.
Even on quiet mode, enough external unit sound (pitch like a jet aircraft) is transmitted thru the wall (double brick) to be audible but not over the gentle sound of the internal unit. This means that if only one of our two units is on, then it disturbs the other sleeper not using their aircon.
The internal design is boxy and unaesthetic.
Overall, Mitsubishi didn't align themselves with the customer and set the design brief from the customers' perspective. Move the engineers aside, and have ergonomists do the finishing touches.
But OK for an office or study.

My first air con unit for my bedroom – Personally, I feel any air conditioner looks a bit ugly stuck on a wall however, my aircon unit does not look as ugly as I thought it would. A worthwhile product for heating & cooling – It works fine for both heating and cooling. I haven't had any issues so far. the operating booklet is too complicated to work out how to set up timed weekly or daily settings. Also i wasn't advised by the installer if i wanted to use the machine via the app it needed a part installed, so only use the remote.

Rooms normally remain cool at this stage given it is night time and not being exposed to the effects of the sun. Would strongly recommend this product, the Choice website also recommended it along with our electrician.

Very efficient unit – This split system is the best I've had. It only uses around 170W to heat or cool my office and is very quiet and smooth once up and running. It makes a few clicking and whirring noises when starting and stopping but that is to be expected. I regularly use it all day and it has no problem with that.
