Failing just outside warranty – Fridge is just over 5 years old, so just out of warranty. Door flapper failed twice in the less than 12 months. Service technician told us likely relay/motherboard issue that is causing them to fail. Contacted Mitsubishi, who came out replaced door flapper and faulty board despite being out of warranty. My favourite Fridge Ever – We have now had our fridge about a year. (date for review is a guess) I love it. Key reasons why it's is great: 1. Size. 2lt Tupperware bottles constantly, so they fit well in both the bottom & middle shelf on the right. 2. Practical. It's french door style, we can put platters/cakes etc in with no trouble. The shelves are the solid type, unlike old wire style, so no dripping down to below. Easy to clean & see through. Temperature is consistent & we don't have things freezing up or getting warm. We haven't adjusted it from the recommended settings. We are happy with the ice maker also, as we just didn't want one needing to be plumbed in. Experience there means we know they can be hugely expensive if there is an issue, and there often is. It's really not that hard to fill up the multiple trays. They stay frozen too, it doesn't defrost the ice cube tray like our old fridge did. 3. Wide size that maximises inside size. We considered other brands, but this one took up the same size as others, but gave us a much bigger fridge inside. The freezer is a great size too & we can fit quite a lot in it. 4. Looks- well, who wants an ugly fridge? :) This one looks great & many comment on it. It is incredibly easy to wipe down with glass cleaner, & the silver just doesn't show many marks at all.
The warranty on this is fabulous, although we're hoping that will be unnecessary. The delivery guys were great with helping set it up, & we were very clear in telling the household to open the doors from the handles below for the fridge, & handles for the freezer.
Things I would prefer: The dairy & fruit/veg drawers shallower & went the full width of the fridge. That there were more options to move the fridge shelves-it’s really good, but I like to move things around a bit… I also like to store things in containers including my fruit & veg, which is why shallower full width drawers would work better for me. I think all Fridge makers should take this on board. Deep fridges don't work well - wider ones do. Ultimately, this has been a Great fridge, much better fridge than the Samsung 410L we had for 10 years prior, (had known problems that they repaired but wasn't happy with it in the end) & I'm hopeful we can have this one for as long, if not longer. This Mitsubishi is miles ahead. It is quiet, it doesn't give us grief & works as a fridge should. Mitsubishi seem to have a good handle on air con & fridges, so that makes sense. Shop around & you'll get a good deal.

energy efficient. The somewhat futuristic settings, invisible unless you need them, are a nice touch. And 5 year warranty is instilling some confidence that the company is behind this product.
However, the temperature setting and indication are not very practical. Nowhere on or in the fridge/freezer can we find what the actual temperature inside is, you need to put thermometers in to be able to check that. Also, setting the temperature cannot be done in terms of temperature, but in temperature classes (less cold, cold, colder and combinations) that are supposed to correlate with a certain temperature. You need your manual for to find the table. For instance: we want 4 C in our fridge. That is not available, only 3 and 5C. We also found that the classes are not reflecting the actual temperature in the fridge. We needed the cold/colder combination that the manual says should be 1 C to get to the below the 5 degrees (see also the DBarton review). And yes, we used two different thermometers to measure. We had expected a more practical approach to temperature setting and indication, which are such a crucial part of a fridge/freezer function. A child lock on the settings would also be helpful.
It took almost 24 hours for the fridge and freezer to reach their set temperatures, so we hope that the cooling capacity of this fridge is up to the task to keep such a big compartment to the set temperature in our sunny Queensland. Watch this space.
If not for the temperature controls (simpler is not always better), we would have given it five stars.

quiet cant hear it running unless you put your ear up the the sides . its a pleasure to open up and be presented with food that is within the gaze of your eye.. freezer bins are different sizes and the suprisingly big and appear to be made well and slide out with ease. doors open well and feel solid , reaching for the bottom of the door feels weird at first but should get used to it. wife says the shelves have limited height adjustment but no real biggie. door shelves are functionable and do the job and the front door panel has the info gizmo in stealth , you press the little stamp and the led info lights ups and configure you chill settings etc . keep the doors open too long and fridge beeps at you but ignore this for longer and fridge starts flashing the interior lights on and off . ha ha all in all a very nice looking fridge . 10 out of 10 also a big shout out to the sales lady at batemans bay harvey norman , the Tall girl with the glasses . thankyou so much for your knowledge and advice , your the best.

looks great. Very clean lines & curves make easy cleaning. The front glass panel also looks fantastic and modern.
Note: This is a big sized unit so make sure you measure up properly. It wouldn't fit through my narrow inside door frames and had to be taken in via rear yard. Also, be aware that the front panel is glass - so you can't plaster it with photos, bills, and your kid's paintings from school.
Very minor quibble - the freezer drawer below the ice tray has some small indents which appear to have no purpose however it means I can fit 2x ice cube trays side by side - just short of space by a couple of centimeters.

Till my friend visited my place in Feb 20, he said it is not right, cause he bought the 630L model of the same range from the same salesperson, it is very quiet. So I told the salesperson again, he then get Mitsubishi to send technician over to have a look. Of course, whenever a technician appears, problem will not appears. Then the technician said he can't do much since the noise didn't appear when he was here. He said this is an inverter system fridge, it is much louder than normal fridge. As long as it is not annoying, it is normal. I told him it is annoying as it is really loud. I could even heard it from the first room right at the entrance. I doubt what he said is true because my friend's is quiet, and the reviews here also said is very quiet fridge.
Then last week because my shift work has been reduced and we can't go anywhere, I get to stay at home more. So I tried recorded down the time of noise starts and when it stops. Then I realised the noise appears more often and long than what I noticed previously. It is mentally annoying if I do not have the TV/music on. I can't even take a nap on my couch or concentrate to read a book on my couch.
The fridge is great in many ways, is spacious, temperature is good, vegetable and fruit last longer, EXCEPT it is really NOISY!

wide platters in or things like bunches of celery which would always have to be cut up or get squashed in the old fridge. Absolutely love the drawers in both the fridge and freezer. The negative about the fridge is its temperature control. We've noticed that it doesn't get as cold as the Samsung and even though we've set it for 1 degree (high setting), it's operating at around 4-5 degrees when we test it with a thermometer. We had our Samsung set at 2 degrees and that is exactly what we measured it at when we tested it. We have also noticed an increase in the amount of food that goes "off" or doesn't stay fresh for very long. Great fridge, does the job, but with the temperature fluctuations we've experienced, won't buy another Mitsubishi.

chisel off the plinths as I had not included the lost area at the base) and storage capacity, granted we are a family of three but you could easily stock up for a small army with this badboy.
2 years in it hasn't needed any more cleaning other than a soapy wipe down of all the compartments and shelves - definitely no thawing required.
The only minor negative is that the stainless steel panels do dint easily and with a three year old, you find that out quite quickly.
I am so glad we tracked this model down as it was being replaced with the newer glass door model.

Perfect fridge for family or couples – This is the best fridge we have ever owned. I did my research for myself and my daughter who has a family of 6 and it’s just me and hubby for ours. She got the diamond black and I got the pearl white. Only problem is my pearl white is now yellow? I’m so sad cause I love my fridge. It’s big in the fridge and freezer. Freezer is good capacity and the ice trays work nicely. with a large ice bucket tray. Drawers have solid runners and are easy to open and close.
Lighting inside is also nice and bright.
Only negatives are the material on the doors, they are very easy to damage. Like day one brush the vacuum cleaner against it damaged. We chose the black model and it now has several dents and scratches, why it isnt just a thicker shiny plastic I have no idea, could easily have been made tougher and should be given they high use items. I didn't want the stainless because they always show damage, this is not much better.
It is also very large, just a consideration as we moved house and it had to be a factor in the house we purchased. It is bigger than most units, in width, depth and height. I had to remove the doors to get it in, then perform minor changes to the kitchen. The plus side is its also big inside.
Overall it would be 5 stars but for the material on the front doors, lets it down a little.

Easy to clean. To keep door shiny with no streak mark, spray with cleaner and wipe with dry cloth or paper towel.

Quite bulky and deep. Take this into consideration when you renovate your kitchen or before you purchase. The measurement on the website wasn't quite accurate and I had to pay an authorised tech to remove the handle and fit it through the door.
Generally maintain good temperature. It's always on eco mode. I do have to lower temperature in summer and when the kids are home during the school holiday.
