Hello Rick Thank you for contacting us. Rapid boil kettles are known to be louder, also the lower the water level in the kettle the noise of the water coming to the boiling point will resinate through the kettle. The metal expanding and contracting could also cause the crackling noise. However should the noise increase, please note that as part of the Glen Dimplex Australia group, the Morphy Richards range of electric product are sold with a 24 month ‘replacement only’ warranty in Australia. If your product is currently within this manufacturer’s warranty, please simply arrange return of your unit to your place of purchase along with your invoice/ proof of purchase to receive a replacement/refund. You may also wish to print this email advice and take with you in order to confirm the authorisation. If you cannot locate your original receipt please contact your place of purchase, they may be able to issue you a duplicate receipt.

I bought this kettle 4 days ago. We really like the overall look of this kettle but noticed a small problem. The part where the handle and the kettle is attached is lifting up down the side. The other side is flash and still attached to the kettle. Is this a common problem or did I buy another faulty product.

Aspect kettle 6 months old, why? does the stainless steel inside look dark. How can you clean it? It has never been put on without water Thank you

Hello Louise The dark marks that you are describing are a build-up of mineral deposits from the water. This can easily be removed by using a de-scaler. This can be purchased from a supermarket, generally they can be found in the cleaning products isle.

What is difference between the scandi kettle and scandi aspect kettle? I see it is $129 for scandi kettle but $159 for scandi aspect kettle?

Hello Viv Aspect is the product range. An aspect kettle has a minimalist design shape and spoutless pour for example. Scandi relates more so to the style sand finish of some of our products. A scandi product has a wooden effect on the base and handle. All of our ‘scandi’ products are in the aspect product range, but not all aspect products are in the scandi range. The aspect products that are not scandi have a metallic looking finish on the base and handle instead of the wooden effect. Due to this difference in finish there are some differences in price. The models with a metallic looking base are now discontinued so this can affect the pricing also.

Hi There,

I received this kettle as a gift for Christmas and have just moved into my place and have started using the kettle. The water that comes out of it is in drinkable. It actually tastes poisoness. I’ve tried boiling vinegar in it. Any other suggestions as nothing is working.

Good morning Michael - Thank you for your comments. Whilst this is not a common concern reported with the range distributed in Australia, it is something that we hear about from time to time. There are a few old fashioned fixes involving bi-carb, lemon and vinegar to be found on Google however we find have found that running a standard de-scaler product through the unit makes a huge difference.

Hi there. I was wondering wht the inside of the kettle is made of please? Is it plastic, glass or stainless steel? I'm defintely not a fan of the plastic lined kettles.

We purchased this kettle as I loved the feel of the handle and the sleek modern look and on all accounts (except my issue below) we are very happy with it........

I have read all of these reviews and can't seem to find anyone with the same problem we are experiencing......we purchased this jug two weeks ago and the water has a very distinct "plastic" taste to it when boiled in this jug. Even our guests are noticing it.

Is this just a one off with my jug - unfortunately we have had to resort to boiling our water in the pot as the taste is so strong and off putting

Any advice?
