It's quite difficult. And I have only done it once when the tray was clipped in the position closer to the child's body. I had to push down hard on the seat with my left hand and use my right hand to pull up sharply at the front centre of the tray to release it from the clip underneath. When I put it back on the chair, I used the position that is further away from the child's body, as it had got too tight for her. Now I can't get it off!! The clip that holds it down is underneath and in the centre at the back of the tray. I suppose worst case scenario you could undo the 2 screws that secure the clip in place for the tray to lock into. Hi Susan, To remove the Tray Table, reach underneath and press the clip below the tray table to release it. Simply lift the tray up away from the highchair. To store the tray table when not in use, fix it to the back of the highchair seat and back upper legs.
