purchased a be quiet! 750W Dark Power 12 80+ Titanium Power Supply from MSY Computers on 16/02/2023 which has a 10 year warranty. In January 2026, I sent the power supply back to MSY to confirm the major fault and to provide a replacement or refund. They state in their conditions, and they communicated in their support chat, they may send the item back to the supplier for possible repair. I have been communicating with them for over 2 months to try to gain a replacement or refund required by the Australian Consumer Law but have been unsuccessful.

 Follow-up  · They did not offer a loan item, I was lucky I had a rather slow backup computer I could use while I waited. In the end, they did refund the money after they said they sent the item back to the supplier in Germany who confirmed the fault. The fault was the power supply wouldn't boot. It started by not booting from sleep, but in the end it wouldn't boot at all.

Poor service – Bought a gaming PC for $2000 (just the box without peripherals). Playing games it overheats and shuts down. Have sent 2 emails , 1st 4 days ago. No reply to either. Have called several times. No answer. I have left a request for a callback twice. Yesterday and today 5 hours ago. Still no reply.

mentioned from a start. They didn't communicate unless you did first and even then, you would be lucky to receive a response. They mostly ignore your emails and shove the item back in your face without so much as saying what went wrong or listening to you.

Don't give them a cent. You're better off paying that extra few dollars and going to MWAVE or another PC store. MSY is not as cheap as it used to be.

1 star for low prices, that's it – If you pop into the store and they have your item in stock then it's all fine. Any other scenario other than that and you'll likely face unnecessary complications. I ordered online for in-store pickup to assure the item was in stock and reserved. Tried calling 20 times the next morning with no answer and the answering machine cutting me off. Awful service – Don't even think of buying anything from msy online, although if you get faulty stuff from store, you will be asked thousands of questions for refund too but the online service is terrible. No one answers the phone, late email replied, and takes ages for the delivery.  Show details

numerous follow up phone calls without any luck. I have to send my brother to visit store to check the order status. Shockingly store operator/manager have replied to my brother; sorry product is out of stock when my brother point out the modem router box in store answer was we can’t sale this to you. There was a pricing error you bought this product after the sale date." This was quite surprising to me and I am still trying to get the valid reason from them why I can't have a product via email.

Slow non-existent service but marginally cheaper – Lined up for 20 minutes, not even a hello, person just stands there and fetches what you ask. I called above numbers every 15 minutes since 11:00 for 3 hours to get a chance for someone to answer the call. But - no one seems to be alive there to answer the call.

Very disappointing service!!!

I should not even buy from MSY as I got bad service when I buy the product from the Auburn yesterday (21 May 2016) afternoon - The Sale Staff has extreme bad service manner.

I doubt are they really selling the Genuine Products!!!

business have such incompetent staff? Some reviewers have given these guys 5 stars purely based on price. Sorry, but a physical shop that only provides cheap goods but horrible service can never compete with online sellers. You get better service sitting in front of your computer. It's not worth my time and petrol money to drive here just to deal with some dodgy in order to save a few dollars in postage costs.

Use various online shopping portals (there are plenty) to get the best prices and delivered straight to your door. Also, you usually have the added protection of PayPal. If you know what you want, why would you come here??

Faulty Mainboards for repair for 3 of the 12 months since purchase – I don't think they are being dishonest, they just don't understand customer service. It would have cost less to replace the board with a new item but you can't speak to a manager. On it goes for the third month of the unit being returned to MSY. No contact - you have to chase and chase. Just prey when the cheap price is forgotten your item works.  Show details

Rude, useless staff and non-existent customer service – Was served by some guy who acted like he didn't want to be there and wouldn't even look at the list of items I brought to the store. Said some nonsense about how all the mice were the same and I should "do my research before coming" -- he almost couldn't be bothered getting the items for me. Avoid. Misleading tock levels, impossible to get on the phone. Patchy email communication – I tried to call over 20 times over the course of 2 days, only for it to ring out everytime. Email communication was slow\unhelpful at best. I only ordered with MSY because they were the only store to have what I needed in stock. Go elsewhere. Auburn - Worst Customer Service... shop at ARC computers instead – Probably the worst MSY in Sydney. Trade with them only if you are chinese...and if you are willing to wait for 30 - 40 mins to be served. Also what the website says on availability may not be updated for weeks. One of their staff members kept on talking and providing support to a chinese customer, without considering the line building behind them, after which said staff decides to take off leaving only one of the remaining staff to deal with the irate customers behind...

Customer infront of me looked up a product online while in store and was told after waiting for 20 mins that some one picked up the item (which was obviously a lie) considering he was waiting there for a while... said customer abuses the attendant walks away.

I was served next, and the dude couldn't see the product which was located in plain sight, had to point it out to him... worst experience ever.

prior they were fined $250,000 by the ACCC for not honouring warranties. They have warranty guideline plastered through their stores but they still dont honour them. Cheap, but not worth the risk, Ive lost over $500 through this mob.

We buy and procure quite a lot of IT equipment for our clients and we made a mistake buying too much – First and foremost, I would give 0 stars if possible. opened, or opened and damaged, then they tell us it is not their problem. Then there are instances if you have a monitor you purchased out of many monitors purchased, and one happens to fail, don't expect a refund or even any assistance. Just remember you are on your own, and if the manufacturer doesn't fix it, then it is not their problem. We have thought about taking MSY to civil court, but we calculated we can show more disatisfaction of their service simply by not purchasing from them and purchasing from their other competitors. Do not buy MSY, they are slow, rude, and should be shut down for their illegal practice in regards to no returns or refunds, even with RECEIPTS, well within weeks of purchasing their items. This is totally against AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW, against the TRADE PRACTICES ACT 1976 and is ILLEGAL.

Purchase somewhere else, we will no longer be purchasing from either MSY Auburn or Ultimo. Your dollars are better served elsewhere! Buyer BEWARE! That they had the item in stock, but some they didn't Everything, but most importantly, if your item breaks down, that is it. Do not expect warranty or refund, they will make it a long and painful process that eventuates to nothing.

Wouldn't exchange my broken LCD – I recently brought a LCD from them, and an intermittent problem came up where the screen would show a white patch for an hour or so before disappearing. But it only appears intermittently, and I got it on photo. When I take it they refused to replace it unless they can see it for themselves. Very disappointed.  Show details

Cheating customers (Auburn Branch) – I ordered online for a Netcomm adsl2+ filter and got a confirmation email that said the same. But I was given a non branded piece of junk instead when I went to pick it up. Moreover, they told me that they never had any Netcomm filters for sale anyway. Very bad customer service – Ordered parts of a new PC. The website online order clearly said they had it in stock, when I turned up they didn't have a couple of components. They recommended a psu which turned out wouldn't work with my video card. They refuse to even exchange it. Worst part is that I called first and they told me to bring it to their shop only to change their mind there. A long drive to auburn for nothing.
