Nonexistent customer service – Msy doesn’t honour warranty. I got router with issues and ,after troubleshooting, manufacturer diagnosed it as faulty. I bought few items from msy before. So if product is fine - all good and sweet, but if product has issues - msy disregards manufacturer’s diagnosis and expects customer to accept faulty product and absorb the loss.

recession and other factors made this corporation to collapse. It seems every recent order I used to make, it looks like I made my payment to other corporation name UMART. Recently their website looked like Umart, all the deliveries came with labels from UMART… TO MY HORROR, MSY WAS NOW UMART… !!!! Although, all my desperate letters and emails to MSY had no response…. I asked myself, what happened TO MSY? ESPECIALLY AS A VERY LOYAL CLIENT FOR MANY YEARS ????!!!! Few weeks passed, I even tried to buy online and pickup from store from slacks creek branch in QLD, I couldn’t make pay cash on pickup Anymore…... I went to the branch to buy parts, and asked to pay with cash, they wouldn’t let me pay in cash, as the manager said is the management policy… I wounder which management was it ? UMART ? OR MSY ??? RIP MSY and Umart- - it is all over, umart can no longer Mimic as MSY, we now exposed this Chinese corporation… don’t support UMART OR MSY NO MORE… they wont accept cash…. Jason was absolutely amazing, and so patient with my clearly challenged comprehension, in his explanation of all of the technical aspects of same and I am very grateful for such excellent, honest customer care - I actually asked him if he was the store owner, given his wonderful attention to both detail and customer service! Tyson was so friendly and engaging and clearly wanted to help as best he could – I understood he was in his first few days of a week long trial and I do hope the store recognizes the immense value of his friendly and professional engagement – especially given he was being mentored by Jason. We home educate our two sons (12.5 and 11.5) and even they were impressed by the thorough attention and qualification which Jason and Tyson gave to us.

Both Jason and Tyson are exceptional ambassadors for your business – they were very busy with walk-in clients and they never once made me feel as though I was inconveniencing them by repeatedly asking my questions in different ways to ensure I understood exactly what they were saying to me.

If you run employee incentive or recognition programs then I would be more than happy for you to share my gratitude feedback regarding these two wonderful young men!

about a specific Displayport cable, apparently the store has never stocked them, despite being listed as "In stock" on their website. I walk out, look up the product on my phone, walk back in and show the guy. Apparently they were due to arrive that day, but hadn't actually arrived. So the store does stock them after all. My advice is show the guy the product you want on your smartphone and don't get advice from someone who is clueless. As far as prices go, they're about the same (sometimes higher or lower) than Umart. Also, fulfilling a pickup order can take a few days for an "in stock item", which is a bit slack. Although, my latest order wasn't fulfilled at all, so 1 star.

Update: Seems like that employee has moved on and the latest guy was very helpful with a recent purchase.

I have used many different suppliers for computer parts and other tech gear over the years but I always try to get my gear from one of two places. MSY first. arrival. I called ahead and got a replacement video card right there and then. The staff were great (MSY at Brendale) the return process was the easiest I have ever experienced from any store, just like it always is with these guys.

Please ignore the negative reviews. If you are purchasing anything from a tech supplier, you should know what you are doing. You can't return a kettle because you boiled some water and spilled it on your foot. Don't expect a business to lose money giving you a refund on a part they can't get repaired on resell because there was nothing wrong with it. There are tutorial videos all over the internet that are available for free, to help you make the right purchase and get the most from your investment.

alleviated when the customer rep offered to discount on an alternative replacement - which was very thoughtful, but I offered to pay full price; in essence the replacement product actually suited my needs better.

The customer rep - an older Chinese man was very professional and understood my earlier frustrations. Obviously there was some communication failure in the pipeline, but all was settled.

Excellent Friendly Customer service – Had a warranty issue with a monitor that was bought from a different store (later closed due to covid) The Slacks Creek store were extremely friendly and helpful taking on my claim. the repair took some time although this was mainly due to the nature of the repair. orders stock for this place: What is the point of having 50 CPU's on shelf when you have no cases, motherboards or ram compatible with them? Get your act together your staff are trying hard to sell parts and PC's.

Don't accept cash payment? Goodbye! – Been dealing with MSY Brendale for many years. Literally spent thousands of dollars there. Went in today to buy a couple of network cables. Better than UMart! – A real difference in using MSY to other online suppliers. Order a computer build online. Not only delivered within the timeframe they stated but when the motherboard I asked for wasn't in stock they upgrade me without any additional costs. Great Service on the Cheap – My SSD decided to fail a few weeks before warranty. I went in there and they could not find a record. But attempted to process it anyway as I got it from Slacks Creek. Love this store – The only place i go now for a new computer, they don't charge much for assembly of custom computers, parts are cheaper than anywhere else, i do a lot of looking around to see if i can find a better price but can't, they have lots of stock, been going there now for years and never had a problem with customer service.  Show details

3.5mm and same thing. I tried it on my laptop and same thing. My old headphones work just fine.. So I take it back and they tell me they have to test it thinking I am trying to lie. It's been 2 days since that said that and no call, no email from them. I want them to refund me for 2 reasons - 1 I know for a fact the headphones are faulty, 2 they have the worst customer services I seen.

Had to walk out of MSY. Never went back – Used the guys once, rang up prior to coming and got no answer, twice. Drove 30minutes to the store to realise they're running the store with 1 person... Yep. been sent off yet. If I didn't get so frustrated after 4 weeks, I doubt they would not have given me the GRUDGING exchange, instead of a full refund. The person at the counter acted annoyed when he handed me the exchange item, AS THOUGH I DIDN'T ALREADY PAY FOR IT IN ADVANCE.

Every extension on the phone line (except the one to check product availability) gives a message "this mailbox is full" before terminating the call. When you come into the store, they repeatedly suggest you can call in.

The products will be slight cheaper, but customer services is worse than non-existent when you have a faulty product, it's outright rude and dismissive. I'm a PC gamer and I like getting a deal for games and for parts, but for an extra $50 or so, I should have gone with Umart or PC case gear because atleast I don't get treated like I'm a hassle.

Have built 4 computers with parts from them but have noticed Asus are rubbish mother boards and keep failing. Horrible business.

Brendale store is excellent – I have brought from MSY Brendale about 6 times. They have a great range in stock, prices are very good, staff know the product range well, online orders are processed quickly. You can select online, order, pickup and fit parts all within a couple of hours. I had no trouble returning a faulty power supply.  Show details

explained what the issue was and the man behind the counter asked a few questions about how I came to the conclusion that it was faulty. He went out the back and came back with a seagate 4tb hard drive and said they were out of stock on the Western Digital 4tb greens, and asked if i would be happy with Seagate instead. I agreed.

He swapped the faulty WD drive with a Seagate drive and refunded me the difference (about $9) and i was on my merry way.

I was worried about returning a product to MSY after hearing some horror stories about their questionable returns policy, but it seems if you have a legitimate issue with an item they are helpful.

I think that it is also worth noting that this was on a Saturday morning at probably the busiest time of the week for them.

Overall the whole process went a lot smoother than i had anticipated and took no more than 5 minutes after reaching the front of the queue.

I also had my 2 year old daughter who wanted to use the toilet, so i asked if it would be ok if she could use it as she had been toilet training and i was trying to avert an accident. The guy i asked said that was fine, but then an older asian guy came from out of the backgound and proceeded to say that "we would need to go up the road to subway and it was a 2 minute walk, if you are quick". needless to say we left without buying anything and i quickly drove to subway, who told us that there was NO toilet. we then went to a nearby plaza which toilet block was trashed with syringes and broken glass and rubbish all on the floor. We asked a local hairdresser if we could have the staff key but they looked at us like we where the scum of the earth even though it was staffed by a bunch of older women who obviously had been mothers or had granddaughters and should have been more sympathetic. So we didnt go there either. My daughter by this stage had wet her pants, MSY lost a customer and i am reluctant to go to slacks creek in general. It may not have been MSY fault but a little compassion for customers would go a long way. I advise you all to stay clear.

However...and the reason for my three stars, when someone places an order that means keep it ready for pickup.

I had ordered a power supply, ram and video card from the Morningside store. When i got there, I showed the confirmation email and bizarrely the staff member just started picking the items off various shelves. I expected (as at Umart) that all my items would be separated from the store stock and ready in a pile for me to pick up. But, no they weren't, the video card had been in inadvertently sold to someone else. They asked if i wanted to order another, I just told them to forget it. I then went to Umart and bought the same video card for the same price, which was in stock and waiting separately to other stock so I could actually get my order.

I have never worked in retail or dealt with online orders, but surely if someone places an order their items are reserved should be kept apart from general store stock.

I may go back when i upgrade again, but am unsure. I have never had a problem like this at Umart. Cheap prices They dont know how to keep online orders separate to store stock so part of your order may not be there when picking up.
