Nescafé Dolce Gusto Americano coffee pods – The Americano coffee has changed in flavour since the red box was replaced with a brown box and I am so disappointed with the flavour of this coffee. My family find it’s flavour terrible and it is such a shame as I have two machines, one at home and the other in our caravan, the heat is perfect as is the machine but Why change something when it… Read more
is so good? This coffee was usually the first to sell out compared to the other flavours. Please bring back the red box coffee with the original Americano coffee pods flavour otherwise I will need to buy a different brand coffee machine.
Machines vibrates when filling – Our machine works OK, however i have to hold the cup under the filler , because it vibrates too much when filling the cup, and it vibrates off the holder if left on it. Show details
Regret ever buying it – I bought the machine and 5 boxes of pods to use for a road trip. Was bitterly disappointed in the coffee and barely used it, preferring the instant coffee in motel rooms. Recently I lent it to my daughter and she totally agreed. I've written to Dolce Gusto but have received no reply at all. Tempted to throw the lot away and chalk it down to experience. Show details

Great machine and coffee pods, not enough variety! – I bought this coffee machine on sale for just under $50 and I'm very happy with the machine itself! You can't do anything too fancy with it (which I didn't mind), and it basically just relies on the pods to make this machine usable. The coffee pods come with a flavour pod and a milk component pod, meaning most packets of pods are an eight pack (8… Read more
flavour for example the cappuccino and 8 milk pods)- you fill up the water tank at the back of the machine, insert your coffee pod in its slow, pull the leaver and ta-da! Then, you take the pod out and insert the milk pod, and wait for the machine to do it's magic! And it creates some beautiful hot coffee, or hot chocolate especially considering how cheap the pods and the machine is! However, there is not enough of a variety of pods available for this machine especially at Coles/Woolies, making me not use it as much as I would like! On NESCAFE's website they have some variety, cappuccino, flat white, cafe latte, americano, hot choc, chai latte- pretty much your staples for coffee drinkers! However, they are not readily available at the shops even though I've seen some variety at BIG W! And since the coffee pods include the milk component where needed (like cappuccino, flat white) I would love to see more then just the skinny cap available with the LITE milk option- the machine needs more pods available and I think it could be a much much greater machine! All in all, not bad for $50, and then $8.5 for a box of 8 pods, pretty much looking at a $1.06 per coffee or hot choc or chai latte, which is not bad at all given how yummy they taste! Just needs more variety :)
No so good – There is a staggering amount of various Dolce Gusto machines ranging from cheap to quite expensive. With the view they all use the same pods, I purchased the cheap version (Piccolini) to discover that whats produced is basically undrinkable. I drink coffee all day long, and I own a factory that I at infrequently, so a coffee system that I dont… Read more
have to cart milk around was a great idea. I persevered with it, but it was just bad. Some of the coffee styles require 2 pods; one milk and one coffee. Each pod for each flavour or style of coffee requires a differing but precise amount of water to be forced through the pod by the machine.
I learned that on the more expensive units the water quantity output is selectable on the machine and therefor automatic ..... this dopey machine is 100% manually operated i.e. hold the water button and guess 170ml of frothy white milky stuff, change to the coffee pod and guess a further 30ml. Impossible, frustrating, ridiculous and tastes rubbish every single time.
The hot chocolate is very very good though
I found a cheap Dolce Gusto Mini Me machine cheap in Coles. The Mini Me is a cheap machine that has the very basic ability to measure the water output. That makes a world of difference.
The resultant coffee in the Mini Me is ok; its not great but its very drinkable. So the summary is, the Dolce Gusto system itself and the various pods are ok, but just don't waste your money on a machine such as the Piccolini that doesn't have the ability to measure the output. Pay the extra $2 for the Mini Me
There are other better models in the range for a similar price
Great coffee, no fuss! – Received this machine as a Christmas present last year due to my other coffee machine not working anymore... and I love it! I have had it for almost a year now and still going strong. The coffee pod system is great as you don't have to clean up mess all the time, so it's very easy maintenance. My favourite pod is Americano, which is long black. It… Read more
also has espressos, macchiatos, cappuccinos and so on, so the choice is pretty good. I normally warm milk up in the microwave or stove then I brew some Americano to go with the hot milk and it's just like having a flat white from a café. Yum! Design is very simple and has basic functions, a lever on top starts the coffee flow and to stop it simply pull the lever back to start position. Done! If you have been drinking instant coffee all your life, you may find these coffees a little too strong and may not like it. I was born and bred in Italy and grew up drinking 'proper' coffee, I find the coffee from these pods delicious, the blend they use is really good. And because it's encapsulated in the pods, it never loses its freshness (how disgusting is stale coffee??? Yuck!). You just have to be a bit creative and find the one that suits your tastebuds! Love it. Easy to use and clean, good price, delicious coffee, compact design Nothing!!!

Brilliant product – This little machine is a wonderful invention. We have it on our kitchen bench and because it is so light and versatile, we take it with us in our motorhome when we go travelling. The coffee is great and so easy to make and the total price of the machine is amazing given the quality of the coffee and ease of making it Show details
Dolce gusto piccolini coffee machine – Satisfied with the machine. It doors the job perfectly for a low cost machine. Tough to clean when you make a coffee. Only con is only limited range of pods are available at supermarkets. Not of hit and miss what you can buy but easily available online. Lots of compatible pods as well. Show details
Simple but effective! – Our "Dolce Gusto" coffee maker is my preferred way to give our friends a flavoursome cuppa. My only criticism is the limited coffee flavours that Nescafe make available, which is why I've taken to occasionally using the refillable pods (available off eBay). This way I can still enjoy my favourite blends (Colombian Blue Mountains and a Byron Bay… Read more
grown bean) with the ease of selecting from the different pods.
The Piccolini is very simple to use and produces consistent strength cups. Highly recommended as they are affordable for everyday use.

New blends of coffee like dish water – We loved our machine and had used it for a couple years, it wasn't perfect with only the Nescafe pods available but the need for a new machine wasn't a high priority..... until the new blends arrived. The new blends of pods from Nescafe are so week, we are having to add some of our "backup" instant coffee just to get some taste out of it. We… Read more
have now retired our machine and are shopping around for a new brand with a bigger and better selection of pods.
the machine is fine the capsules taste fine but the company is ripping the user off – we have three machines in the family and have had them many years without a problem.firstly there are no other pods that fit the ''Dolce Gusto'' so you are locked in.The biggest negative is that in recent times there has been no supply of our favourite ''espresso intenso'' pods and just this week they reappeared on the shelf marked ''new… Read more
blend/formula'' same price.Well then we see the number of pods per box is the same BUT the amount of coffee in each pod has been reduced by app 20% from 8g per pod to 6g per pod. This means the old box of 16x8g pods =128g and the ''new formula'' is 16x6g pods =96g..the only thing about taste is how distasteful the actions of this company are.
Seriously bad coffee, stick to instant – Horrible coffee, looks and tastes like muddy water. I made one coffee and within 10 mins re boxed it to take it back but I’m guessing that won’t be possible Oh well it can sit in the pantry I’m not sure who could actually enjoy it!? Seriously it’s not worth the price even as cheap as it is Show details

Terrible coffee machine is ok – Coffee is disgusting ! Machine seems ok though - easy to work - too bad quality of coffee is so bad Water is hot and like that you can control amt of water. Would not buy this machine again . No decaf option in coffee you can purchase either - I see some people have bought refillable pods which I guess is an option. Show details

Inexpensive Coffee Machine – Wanted a cheap small size machine for our caravan. Purchased the Nescafé Dolce Gusto Piccollini Machine from The Good Guys on special for $39 inc some pods. What a surprise, it is a great Machine small size but will take large cups. The cappuchino pods come with milk pods as well so I was very sceptical about taste. Got to say it is a nice coffee… Read more
and good temperature out of the Machine. It is easy to use and clean.
Downside it only takes the Dolce Gusto pods which cost a little more. Still it only costs about $1 per cup and that includes milk for a great tasting Nescafé roast. Secondly the water tank is not large you can make two decent size cups to a tank of water. It keeps the size of the Machine small so that’s the upside. A great range of Pods are available from Coles and Safeway inc different types and strength of Espresso, hot chocoletto, latte, flavoured ice tea etc.
Can’t live without – As a barista I am a harsh critic on my coffee but I love the flavours that dolce gusto have to offer it is very easy to use and clean it’s so good I brought three of these machine. And gave them for Christmas presents cause it’s barista made coffee with out the price tag of an espresso machine and the extra work. Show details
I love this machine but only one jibe – I received this coffee machine for a Christmas gift last year. I absolutely love the coffee pods that you can buy for this machine, especially the Latte Macchiato and the skinny cappuccino. They are so much better tasting than instant coffee. The machine is super easy to use and clean. My only one one jibe is the price of the capsules. As we have… Read more
3 coffee drinkers in my house it can get a bit pricey. I shouldn't complain though as we all love our coffee and its so much cheaper than buying similar coffee in cafes.
My one tip is not to use hot or boiled water in the water tank.
What more do you want? – For economy, easy of use and great tasting coffee, can this little gem of a machine be beaten? My previous machine gave 4 years of faultless performance, and I expect to get another 4 years or more from this one. Water tank is smallish, but still produces 2 big cups. Show details
Don't spend hundreds and thousands of $$$ on coffee machines!! – The taste of good coffee does not depend on the price of your machine. This machine is super easy to use - you don't need to be a barista and you don't need a training session to learn how to use it. Yes, it is a pod machine but the quality of the coffee (ground and roasted, not instant) is superior to a lot of brands on the market. Cleaning is… Read more
almost non existent. You just need to rinse out the water reservoir once in a while and rinse the pod holder and drain tray.
I have had a number of machines but this one does it for me. Most of them are under $100 and when on sale, can be $50 or $60. The other machines I've had have been OK but the quality of the coffee left a lot to be desired. I have to admit that I do like a good Columbian coffee and use a percolator for that but for every day use, my Piccolini is the duck's guts!!
OK – If you like a really good coffee this machine probably isn't for you, the pods are ok. The machine is ok. I bought one for work and we do use it almost every day, the taste of the coffee isn't amazing but if you need a coffee it definitely does the trick! Show details
Great little machine! – What a great little machine! It isn't too bulky to store and it makes a decent cuppa! I love that I can buy hot chocolate pods and I even stumbled onto some tea pods in Harvey Norman. Temperature could be hotter but for the price, it's a great little machine. Show details
Great coffe with no fuss – We actually bought this as a Christmas present for friends but decided to keep it ourselves and we're glad we did. We use the cappucino and american styles. Sure beats the hell out of paying $4.50 for a luke warm weak brew at th local bistro. You can make it any strength you like with as little or as much froth or milk as you like. Great cuppa!

tye machine is okay and make okay coffee – I got that machine as present from My auntie It's good and does the coffe okay One problem for me is that you need to re feel the water tank after to coffees that you make which it's not convenient Also the gift set box with selection of coffee capsules was great idea of Dulce Gusto Thanks and keep drink coffee Show details
average – not the greatest thing nescafe have made. its compact which is great but the quality is average. very easy to clean and doesn't take up much room but I still find myself going and buying a coffee compared to making them at home which I had in mind when buying this machine Show details
Easy to use, low cost! – The perfect bench size, so easy to clean and ease of use is second to none. I love this coffee machine! Pods are easy to purchase at any supermarket. Perfect for one or two people who enjoy a coffee at home, many coffee options including pods that include milk for a cappuccino or latte! No additions needed! Show details
Cafe style cuppacino at home – Received this as a mother's day gift and have been very happy with this coffee machine and all the different flavours that we can make. It's like having a cafe at home. So simple to use that even my 4 y.o can operate it and so easy to clean. Only downside is the noise and vibration. You need to hold the cup in place and can't leave it sitting on… Read more
the coffee machine while it fills, otherwise the vibration will cause the cup to move and possibly fall.
Okay but needs some improvements – This machine is very cheap to purchase but does its job. It will make you a cup of very strong coffee in the flavour of your choice. However, it does have a more kind of ordinary coffee taste even when you use differently flavoured capsules. The machine does have a very loud noise as well and the milk it makes isn't very special. I know I'm… Read more
sounding very negative but I guess you pay for what you get. This is a cheap machine that produces ordinary coffee. It is easy to clean you just clean out the bottom of the machine, where the excess coffee would have gone. It's very easy to use as well, great for people who struggle with new technology or instructions.
More Coffee Please – My coffee machine takes capsules and offers a good range of flavours. The cappuccino is my favourite, followed by cafe latte. I find the aroma of brewing coffee in this machine is very relaxing. The taste is close to heaven. My machine is very easy to use and very easy to clean. The only downside to my machine is the capsules are very dear for… Read more
a box of cappuccino as it's 16 capsules to a box for the flavours, therefore 16 coffees a box, except cappuccino because although there's 16 capsules, 8 are coffee based, 8 are milk based, making it only 8 cappuccinos a box. This makes it too expensive to enjoy my favourite coffee.
Easy to use – We love our Delonghi Dolce Gusto it is so easy to use and clean, and the flavours of coffee , tea and hot chocolate. My whole family loves the taste, in fact my father in law likes it better than his own. My daughter liked it so much we got her one for Christmas. Show details
Not so great coffee machine – Pros: easy to use, handy, capsules/pods available at coles or woolies. Has cold and hot option. Easy to refill and clean. Cons: very manual so I have to wait else it will flood in our benchtop. The capsule/pods I found expensive compared to other pods avaialble in the market and unlikely to get good deal. Show details
Excellent and easy to use – coffee tastes fine but milk capsule doe not, very easy to use. very easy to keep clean. Needs more variety in capsules or to be able to use different makers capsules like killer coffee. Also some coffee mugs do not fit under the spout even when catch tray is removed. Show details
Easy to use! – Love the ease of use with this machine. Pod flavours are great, but the milk doesn't seem to get hot enough for my liking :( The machine is quite sleek looking and doesn't take up too much bench space. A trusted brand which I am more than happy to recommend to others. Show details
Works well, but coffee is not that great – While the actual machine is very easy to use, and very easy to clean, I was really disappointed in the taste of the coffee. I very recently upgraded to an espresso machine, and freshly ground espresso is so much nicer than pod coffee. Also I found the price of the pods fairly expensive when you only get a very limited amount of coffees per box. If… Read more
you're a hardcore coffee lover, I'd suggest going for an espresso machine, or even just using a French press.
Love it! – Great machine, really good to make a quick quality coffee. Cleaning is no great effort. There is a terrific range of coffee flavours to choose from and if you buy direct from the Dolce Gusto website there are extra varieties which are unavailable from the supermarkets. I am so pleased with my machine I am considering the purchase of a second one for the office. Show details
I love the simplicity of this machine – I find it very easy to use and clean and I would recommend it to anyone looking for simplicity of operation and lots of flavors in the coffee range. It's not too big for the counter top and my household use it regularly. I myself can't get enough of this coffee. Awesome! Show details
