No Problems - Ever – I've been with netspace for over 8 years and never had any problems. Maybe one or two very short drop outs. Great call center and tech support. Several re-locations, including one interstate all with no problems and very easy to request. The customer call-back service is very useful and I've never had to wait long the the call. Very east and reliable

Netspace Broadband – I've been with NS for about 3 years now. I have few drop outs, 2 that I can remember and they were for a serious issue rather than a repetitive problem. The call centres are helpful and easy to get hold of. Only problem I can see is that they are expensive compared to other providers. You can get unlimited downloads for what I'm paying for 20GB… Read more

and I am considering changing. Problem is, all the reviews I read of other providers talk a lot about drop outs and poor service. Reliable connection with few dropouts. Good customer service. Expensive compared to other providers

What changed? – Before moving houses I would have given Netspace 4/5 stars. I was thrilled with the speeds of 2MB/s and I honestly cannot remember any downtime whatsoever; I was so impressed I would have recommended it to friends/family. That was before trying to relocate with them. The relocation was ordered more than a week before moving so I was expecting… Read more

to move in and only be without Internet for 1-2 weeks -- that would have been fairly reasonable. After the 1st week they installed the phone line and then said it would be another 10+ working days or more before the broadband would come into effect. Alright, fine.

2 weeks later still no Internet, so I called them up and asked what the issue was. "Oh, due to high workload your relocation has been delayed, but it's scheduled for next Friday." I wait but to no avail; I call up once again, this time time to find that "somehow" my order was missed and will have to go back to the end of the queue (which means ANOTHER 5-10 working days). How does a business let that happen? These people need to get their priorities straight. Someone who has had their service delayed for 4 weeks should be the top of the priority, and to put them at the back of the queue because of a fault on their end is disgusting.

Anyway, I was hesitant on ditching having waited this long, so I asked if they could provide a mobile broadband modem in the meantime since I knew this was going to take a while. Nope. All they had to offer was dial-up -- a form of access that no-one has the means of connecting to anymore. Customer service were evidently useless as they couldn't: a) tell me why it was taking so long; b) get my order back to the top of the queue; or c) provide a practical replacement in the interim.

I ended up waiting another week before bailing; it's just not good enough. Speeds, lack of downtime (when you can actually get it installed) Useless customer service, bad service relocation system

No Problems – Been with Netspace for years - both internet and phone. Son's girlfriend works for Telstra and we don't have any of the problems they have with telstra internet. couple of days and problem fixed. Netspace called back several times to see if everything OK. Would rate higher than good but could be a little cheaper as we only get ADSL where we live - not ADSL2 (which is a similar cost for faster speed). Reliable connection, reasonable price, good speed for ADSL, good customer service. no ADSL2 in our area

Reliable – I've been with netspace for a while, and have to say that their customer service is pretty good. I had quite a few problems connecting to my new house, but they did resolve it and refund me for the wasted time without any issues. And the call-back feature they have is a godsend. If only other companies did that hey? Good customer service,… Read more

Good speed - but for the love of god dont ask to change anything! – We were with Netspace for 2 years, and recently moved house. My new house had a phone line but it had not been used for a few years so they said i needed a new one. I argued and said I wanted to test it first. So they agreed to send a telstra tech for an $80 charge to test the line. I took a day off work - then an hour after they should… Read more

have arrived I rang them. They said "its been cancelled" so I scheduled another one.

5 days later I called them to confirm the next day they would make the visit. I was told it had been cancelled.

They then arrived the next day, without my knowing and isntalled a brand new line. I then got a $300 bill (which I paid but should have refused to).

Following that it took me 8 days to get the net connected. I was happy. Two days later they disconnected me. When asked why, they said "my port was faulty (despite it working fine). There were no more ports apparently, so I had to wait for one to become available.

After about 8 phone calls over the following week I lost my temper and they guy disappeared to talk to his manager - came back and told me there was one port available - and 50 people going for it right at that moment but he had secured it for ME and oh wasnt he great.

So, next day internet was active - thank god! So I asked them to disconnect my old property (which I was still paying for).

They disconnected my NEW property....

I wont go on.

It was a nightmare.

Stay away from netspace. Reliable when its connected... Customer service is a bunch of blindfolded monkey picking reasons out of a jar. Hopelessly incompetent.

I should be getting paid to use them, their service is terrible – Poor stability, their service crashes every 30 minutes, maybe every hour if you're lucky. Slow speeds, only slightly above the minimum speed of 150 KB/s, so I can't complain about it to support. Not like it matters, their support is so poor, and takes far too long to respond. They charge far too much for the kind of internet services they… Read more

Worst ISP in Australia hands down – Drops out constantly and predictably every single day. There will be no connection at all between the hours of 4pm-9pm every single day. If I could give them no stars I would – What an absolute joke of a service provider. I have had numerous unexplained periods of slowness and I have been waiting for close to two months for a refund after a billing error. Disgusting!! – Drops out more than it is connected. Even whilst I was writing this review it dropped out twice. Do yourself a favour and use another provider as it is too frustrating for words. You spend more time waiting for it to come back online than you do using it. Really really bad. Drops out constantly....I mean constantly - every couple of minutes!

Terrible – I would NOT recommend Netspace to anyone. can't wait to be free from Netspace. Shocking company..should be shut down! I was with Netspace for over 4 years..I kept giving them another chance, as it's better the devil you know than the devil you don't. Though, eventually I had to change and I'm sorry I didn't do it sooner! I have very little to like about Netspace...probably their plan prices are the their best asset but that wears thin when nothing else is of any quality. Customer service overall is appalling, most times I would wait for up to an hour for phone contact (all departments) and email contact doesn't exist. Technical support is a hit & miss affair, some of their techies are well knowledged but that is usually accompanied by arrogance and the trainees won't deviate from their set troubleshooting plans to listen to owner of the computer and past experiences.

'no, maybe telstra is experiencing problems' (they apparently lease the lines from tesltra). Dropouts happen consitently.

Organised for a technician to come out (which is cost to the customer IF they don't find anything wrong or if the problem has been caused by a customer error). Well they came out to us and said that perhaps there might be water in the line, so that cost us $120. Excuse me - but how is this my fault???

Netspace gets your direct debit details when you sign up, and will continue billing you long long long after you change providers. When you call up and complain, they say there is an issue with their accounts and that they have added you to the'spreadsheet' (wtf?) of customers to refund. They will refund you like $10, only to withdraw double the money again at the end of the month. We left in July 2010 and still have monthly debits coming out!

Terrible customer service – We singed up to a 2 years naked ADSL contract and specifically asked what would happen if we moved houses as we were renting. moved they told us we would have to pay the contract out, sign a new contract and pay a connection fee. I don't want to deal with a dodgy company like this so we have signed up with Internode.

The initial connection was also a hassle with the first technician not correctly connecting it and then they tried to charge us for a 2nd technician to come around even though they admitted the 1st technician should have resolved the problem. We fought this and refused to pay.

To be fair, once the internet was connected we didn't have any issues with drop-out or speed etc. Just a shame they can't get their customer service right. reliable internet once connected Lying customer service

I switched from Optusnet to Netspace Naked ADSL a year back, the switch over was a breeze. It seem difficult to explain your problem(for example with speed)to the customer service personnel. Charged for the period when we were disconnected (took 3 weeks, not the promised 5-10 days) and were charged for a higher cost service on reconnection. No response to emails sent to support. Spend 30 mins on hold to get through to customer service. The guy told me there was no problem - that the billing would all work out in the end.
