New Balance's quality is not what it used to be. Their shoes fall apart much quicker than they should now and they do not care about fixing these issues. I would go with another show brand for quality.

Been buying new balance for maybe 30 years due to my wide unstable feet. Since COVID they have changed into a nasty cheap brand. To make matters worse, I didn’t receive the cancellation email in time, so I missed the opportunity to take advantage of the sale. When I called customer service to see if they could honour the original sale price, my request was declined. For a brand trying to build customer loyalty, this was a very poor first impression.

Garbage shoes, third pair only last 4 months – Third pair of 624v4, bought from Amazon store, each time they have been worse, I will never buy new Balance shoes ever again. The soles of these shoes have come unstuck despite the condition of these shoes being as new. The accompanying pix will confirm both of these facts. Have been in touch with SportsPower who refuse to fix the problem under warranty because bought about 2 years ago (and left in a cupboard for most of the time... hence the as new condition). I have always bought NB because they used to offer such a decent range of wide shies for women and at a reasonable price once upon a time. Now they are much more expensive, much less range and poorly built that barely lasts a year for regular users.

without trying it on, ESPECIALLY new balance shoes which vary widely in fit across models. I understand why they don't offer free returns from Joe's New Balance Outlet (their discount store), but refusing to work with customers on returns is atrocious business practice.

Even when I asked to purchase them and have them price adjusted to my original purchase price after the fact, I was told it was "not possible" anything is possible if you care enough about your customer, and this isn't exactly a heavy or difficult ask. I have been a JNBO customer for more than ten years and a new balance customer most of my life. I will actively avoid purchasing products where possible from JNBO and New Balance in the future.

Worst customer service experience – Have purchased the Fresh foam x more v4 in white and gold online as colourway not available in store. Left shoe has a moulding defect, and NB customer service has been very obstructive in organising return and refund. Have been emailing back and forth for 2 weeks now with no outcome. deflected my concern, saying I needed to return these shoes to the store I bought them at. That's impossible, because I live in QLD, and bought these in Adelaide. Then after back-and-forth emails, with what appears to be either an AI robot, this person kept insincerely cited my unhappiness, but refused to take any responsibility for this defective product. Finally, it/she offered a confusing 15 or 30% discount...not acknowledging that this took a week where these shoes were unwearable. Had I been walking in a remote area, I would have been in a world of hurt. There are plenty of choices when it comes to trainers...New Balance has lost my trust, confidence and business.

returning them and getting the next size up. I was informed that this was not possible as the shoes were purchased on a clearance sale (always read the terms and conditions). I made further requests to New Balance but was consistently told that I am unable to exchange the shoes or get a refund.

So I am left with two new pairs of shoes that don't fit and $154.00 out of pocket. The lesson - do not purchase anything from New Balance, tread very carefully when purchasing on-line and always consult the Product Review website before purchasing.

624 not worth the money – It's no wonder Nu Balance has a rating of 1.7 I have bought 624 sneakers for many years. The last 8/10 years they are absolute crap. Tops wear out within 9 to 12mths. I used to get atleast 4 years with just basic walking. No sport. They say leather but I beg to differ. Nothing like real leather now. The price they are sold for is ripping people off. Sizing on website is no good on the NB 306 line, they're under-size compared to the NB sizing tool + chart – I'm a 10.5 in true size. everyone will return their purchase. Toebox length doesn't vary like width does, there's no excuse for this; if you order based on the NB sizing tool the shoes should at least be the correct length

hold for exactly 10 mins and 24 seconds and then no warning you just get cut off-no one ever answers. Have now wasted my morning on hold and now have sent an email to New Balance. Don't know how long that will take to get answered nor how long to get my money back (surely if you take my money straight away and you cancel my order without any reason on the email - I should get my money refunded straight away - why should I wait?). Balance saying my order has been cancelled. I tried again a few hours later and exactly the same thing happened. Now $240.00 has come off my credit card and although the charges are still pending, the balance reflects the charges. New Balance say it may take up to 10 days for the charges to clear off my card.

Customer service respond via email using cut and paste responses and have no desire to actually solve the problem which is clearly at their end.

If you wish to purchase New Balance products, try other retailers.
