Only inconvenience with the New Edge build process itself is that you dont revise electrical plans until after the builds already started which is after already getting bank approval well beforehand in order to start the build. every case is different depending on your bank, but in my circumstance I couldnt just add an extra X percent ontop of the loan to account for any upgrades we wanted as the bank wanted every single invoice and I couldnt get invoices until the trades reached out to me directly after the builds started so that was stressful not committing to the upgrades until i knew if the extra funds were approved meanwhile the trades were chasing me for an approval during the refinancing process.

I understand their reasoning for this is to save the customers money going to the trades directly which I totally get but in our instance, it was very much an inconvenience.

fixtures and they don't give me updates, I have to chase it up. All the supplies sit at the site for weeks on end getting rain & sun damage as they can't organise workers to be there on time. I do not recommend building with New Edge Homes.

perfect fit for us. Its building design and philosophy was exactly what we were looking for: despite our challenging land configuration (it was a very narrow block), the layout was able to optimize the small spaces, there was sufficient lighting and ventilation in every room, and there were innovative solutions in the plan to ensure the final outcome didn't feel too tight. The pricing was perfect for our budget, as NEH was able to optimize the cost by providing basic features as standards, but with the flexibility to customize or upgrade (there were also features that we knew we wanted that came in as default in our package).

I think what I loved the most about building with NEH was how responsive, transparent, flexible and helpful all the staff have been to us: from the Sales Team (kudos to Sandra!), to Colours (Cameron), Pre-Construction (Eric and Karen), and our Site Supervisor (Brendan). They were all able to deliver good quality work despite our own restrictions (our land was late to register and we were trying to meet the strict requirements of the different government grants) and the recent challenges faced by the building industry (covid restrictions, shortages and price increases in labour and materials, inclement weather, etc) - all the while keeping us informed, involving us in decisions, providing estimates on timings, and always doing their best to keep to their commitments.

Great experience – We're on track to building our dream home. With our job being custom, they were able to worth with our design requests and variation upgrades. building Supervisor and was advised no one would be able to come and have a look at the problem until Monday as they thought that the motor from Fujitsu has a defect and would need to be changed, but once the aircon guys came out we found out it was an error in the installation. We also noticed that the rain water tank was not connected, our lights in front of the house weren't done. Interesting part is I was called by the office to pay my last instalment 4 days before picking up the keys. Monday came around and all trades people came to finish the remaining work and just today our rain water tank which was connected 4 days ago ended up coming undone and water went everywhere damaging some of the landscaping. I honestly would not recommend New Edge Homes as the trades people they hire don't provide quality workmanship. The only worry for the future is what else will go wrong with the house.

started by engaging Diana, the Sales representative, who was professional, pleasant and helpful throughout the process. She gave us all the information we required to make an informed decision. The selection process and CDC approvals was expedited by the Head Office which showed etiquette in handling our issues. Finally, the building process was seamless with Craig guiding, leading, project managing, communicating and setting clear goals and expectations. Craig was able to build a solid, beautiful double story in under 6 months. We had heard that the building process is very stressful but New Edge homes took the stress out of the process. The final product was even way beautiful and it exceeded our expectations. Everything was done within the agreed cost, quality and timeframe. So far, my wife and I are impressed with New Edge and we would highly recommend it to anyone who would like to build their future home.
