Frank came to service our lounge after purchasing it 3 years ago. Head rest motor was operating but not moving up and down. I was given a 1 hour window of expected time of arrival and I was then called 15 minutes before arriving to confirm exact time. Frank serviced the lounge and repaired a broken part within 30 minutes. Nick scali do not take responsibility for their faulty products. I bought a leather lounge suite and had an issue with one chair in the head area after only one year. They have refused to fix it and we had even bought an extra warranty. Would never recommend or purchase from them again. Show details
Follow-up · Since my review I was contacted by Nick scali and they said they would repair the faulty chair. The leather had kinda rubbed off in a few layers where the head rest is. They said I would be contacted by the repair person and organize transport but that has never happened so it looks like I’m going to have to follow them up.

and had white plastic tape that was not holding the wires together- in other words our new recliner lounge was defective when delivered- paying high prices for damaged goods does not make sense. ?
Follow-up · No comment from retailer Nick Scali - we purchased a brand new sofa recliner which was delivered with a major fault- damaged electrical fitting was not working- was taped up with white electrical tape- result was electric power did not operate recliner on both sides-we did not expect new product would be delivered with faulty electrical wiring

We bought an Otis Sofa, 2 seater with centre console and reclining seats. In less than 6 months the seats were uneven. We contacted Nick Scali customer service and reported the issue. 'normal wear and it is normal for the leather to soften. After several phone conversations Nick Scali have stated that they will not repair the sofa, leaving us with a sofa that is not fit for purpose, we cannot sit on it as there is a definite lean towards the arms of the sofa. We have been in contact with Consumer Affairs who agree that Nick Scali are in contravention to Australian Consumer Law due to their refusal to repair our sofa. However they are not able to advocate on our behalf and recommended we apply to the Magistrates Court for further support. I have since obtained an independent review from an upholsterer who stated 'the problem is due to a manufacturing fault. During the manufacturing process the foam padding has become compressed on the right side in both seats. We were provided with a quote of $450 for repairs. We have decided we have had enough stress and will not go to court as this process may take several months or more. The whole process of dealing with Nick Scali has been stressful and frustrating. I will never purchase anything from there again.

I do not recommend buying from Nick Scali, we bought a $6000 leather couch and took the extended warranty that the salesman assured us vice so aspects of accident damage or faulty workmanship. significantly delayed investigation they found that we had applied the leather care products incorrectly and closed the issue. The customer service was terrible the extended warranty covered very limited and the one man team responsible for the decision is not contactable. There is no discussion or process other than what this one person decides.
