Hi. I am nearly 80 years and looking at a Nokia 8. Question please - is the volume loud and clear on calls? Current phone has to be listened to so closely. Cheers Barbara
Hi There... I am 60 and it is ok for me... you can always use a headset if too low.. it is a 3.5mm socket.

yes, I think it should be loud and clear enough for you. I have the volume at 70% and it is clear for me, so I think you should find the nokia 8 to be fine for you.

does the phone have face or finger recognition?
It doesn't have Face recognition but it does have a very fast fingerprint scanner (for thumb) at front to unlock phone
It only has fingerprint recognition.
Fingerprint speed and detection is woeful on this phone after using the Nexus 5X.
