Gurdeep was very helpful in assisting with my billing enquiry. As for the connection, it is great. The speed is flawless and a low latency. The only issues I have experienced have been due to opticom infrastructure outages, and occom have been helpful helping me troubleshoot the connection if I have any issues. would make it great is to have an online portal so users can login and view account/usage info or perform payment tasks etc. Apart from that, highly recommend ☺️

Kuldeep explained everything in terms we could understand and helped us configure our router/modem by talking us through the whole process. Kuldeep gave us some extra information that also allowed us to move the modem into a more suitable spot in our house which was incredibly helpful. Thank you Kuldeep for being so amazing and patient and helping us get connected quickly!

Horrible customer service. Internet went out not because of Occom internet but because they use Opticom equipment in the background. The Opticom router equipment that was already in the apartment before we moved in suddenly died. Since this is a separate company they couldn't send a technician out with a new router for over 5 days. The only… Read more

compensation they offered was not to charge us for the days without internet. That's it! Nothing else. Very unsatisfied customer!

Terrible ISP, paying $108 a month for Unlimited 250/25 and consistently getting lower speeds. Support tries and retries tests but nothing has resolved it. I have upgraded hardware to try and fix the issue, but it is something on their end. Have never had a problem with any other ISP using the same set up. Show details

and it got too difficult that they just gave up and not even bother trying anymore and left it with them, for two weeks it was stuck in limbo.

LEAPTEL literally fixed it and figured it out in a day, they know what they’re doing and they have a far better customer service line than Occom. Not to mention LEAPTEL updates their plans for Opticomm.

 Follow-up  · They couldn’t set up the internet due to incompetence of their outsourced team. Went with Leaptel and they did it within a day. No resolution from them

Gurdeep is super nice and helpfull - he is the only one that solved all my issues in one go: change my mobile number in my internet account, change my card details, and check my internet speed!!! 5 stars for him (I am not sure if my internet is fiber or NBN fiber, I pay $120/month - please check out which service it is) Thanks so much Gurdeep Khanh Chu Show reply

Like most companies joining is simple and pleasant. But if you require assistance that's when you realise the lack of customer service. You ring technical support and it's always turn it off and on, and see how that goes. You ring back same fault finding technique. Explain already tried that, ignored. Anything you say ignored. script and nothing can deviate them from it. When you ask to speak to someone else maybe manager, ignored. My internet does not work but company refuses to fix then wants 30 days notice to leave. Fixing is not repeating same steps. Turning everything off every 20 to 30 minutes is not fixing issue.

idk). To now when I’ve tried changing to a better provider (for those who can only get opticomm, go with Superloop or literally any other provider).. occom sent me an email about a disruption (service churn) to my service. Called them at 4.40pm to find out what they're talking about, the first lady rambled and didn’t give clear info, was so focused on trying to retain me as a customer (couldn’t even offer the same discount as the new provider). Told me there’s a 30 day notice period for cancelling a service (this is important) and she’d transfer me to tech support for reconnection of my services until I serve the 30 day notice period. She disconnected the call. I called again, selected tech support number. Got the same lady. Disconnected again. Called a third time, got a new lady and I asked for tech support direct number. She randomly played a pre recorded message about the recording ending over the top of her saying something. I said sorry? What did you say? Disconnected. Called a fourth time and got a reasonable guy who apologised for the first 2-3 women I’d spoken to. Said he’d try and reconnect the service and if I’d have called before 5 he’d probably had it connected. I told him it would’ve been before 5 if they’d actually put me through. He apologised again, tried retaining me as a customer I told him not after the experience I’d just had. He didn’t even fight that lol he just apologised again. I called Superloop. Explained the situation. They said they’d cancelled the new order on their end. Called occomm back and said it should be canceled now please reconnect my internet (at this time, we have no internet with anyone). She told me it’s still connected with Superloop and tomorrow they will check when Superloop have disconnected then they will put the order back in for internet, so basically, 24-48 hours before we get internet back. My husband called them and informed them that as we are not on a contract, they are not allowed to enforce a 30 day notice period as per the ACCC and it is illegal. He told me to check the internet after that phone call. Low and behold, it’s magically working again. They called me, said they talked to him (ps, I don’t believe he’s authorised on the account technically but glad they avoided the privacy act for this particular situation coz I was DONE dealing with them). I asked why it wasn’t until they were threatened with legalities that the internet was fixed. No answers. Thanked her for fixing it. She also waived the 30 day period. We’re only paying until the end of the billing cycle we’ve already paid. So she knows they’re f’d for even saying that IN WRITING. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

After some back and forth with a new customer service agent a month later discussing my frustration with being ripped off an additional $130 due to the previous agents lack of process, the onus still falls on me to return the new modem in exchange for the cheaper model for a PARTIAL refund.... so after deceptively selling me a more expensive modem that I don't need, I'm supposed to waste more of my time to resolve your poor customer service? No offer of waiving my monthly payment - considering its likely I won't have access to internet for around 2 weeks while I'm waiting for you to receive the old modem so you can send the new one? No incentive at all to stick around and continue using your service as an existing customer for 4 years? It's ridiculous that immediately following my initial upgrade you're requesting a 5-star google review, which I happily obliged. Now updated to 1 star, not only for the initial mistake but for how poorly it was handled when I followed up. Don't make excuses for someone's "mistake" just own it and try to do the right thing by your customers.

It was difficult because there was no Wi-Fi connection, but after resetting and resetting, the Wi-Fi connection was successful. It was nice that Gurdeep helped me really kindly when I was wandering around the Wi-Fi connection. I hope the same staff will be connected on the next call.
