We travelled overseas for 6 months to multiple continents and countries with a young child (under 2 years old). We purchased the comprehensive policy and after a bit of research (e.g. pricing and reviews), we felt that Online Travel Insurance were good value for money. It was easy to purchase and set up online. We lodged one medical claim (almost immediately when we went to the US) for an adult and child and the process was relatively easy. We kept receipts and took pictures and uploaded everything onto the system. Everything was covered and we...were reimbursed for everything within a month or so. They were also helpful with any questions we had as well. We had a relative call them up about the PDS back in Australia and they were fantastic. The customer service rep was information and helpful, even sending through extra details via email for us. If we every travelled again, we would definitely use Online Travel Insurance for peace of mind.
Have purchased this insurance on 5 separate occasions and will not be purchasing it again ever!
The insurance seems standard and affordable. I have purchased this insurance on five separate occasions in 2 years. I contacted the customer call centre today to purchase this for the sixth time and was absolutely appalled at the representative who was so incredibly rude that I couldn’t possibly use this company ever again. Despite the experience, I was still prepared to take out the insurance right up until the end of the call when I had to end it due to the representative’s aggressive and condescending phone manner. I have not needed to make ...a claim on any of my previous policies but I am highly sceptical about what that experience might be like since the person assisting me to take out a new policy was so unhelpful and blatantly ill mannered.

I could not recommend it more. I needed to go to the hospital. I logged my claim, which was easy and quite quick to lodge. They got back to me within a few days. I got my money a week later. They were very professional and did not have a single issue.

Easy to arrange.
The policy was easy to apply for, price was competetive. The whole process was simple and quick. I have not needed to claim this is my second time using this travel insurance and I will definitely use them again when traveling.
Sadly with a minor medical condition the cost blew out, would I go with them again? probably not, just too expensive and not flexible in their approach. First and last time to use them.
For basic cover then they are ok.

We wouldn't go anywhere else for travel insurance. Have only had to claim once althought we have have many o/seas travels. Have just got back to Australia from.o/seas yesterday and.while we did not have to make a claim, we would always choose Online Travel Insurance with 100% assurance based on past experience. Be honest with them when applying and they will back you 100%.
Simple to use
I travel overseas three times a year and always purchase travel insurance for medial peace of mind. Out of 30 plus trips I have never made a claim. This time on a trip to Indonesia I got Bali belly. I went to the doctors kept all receipts and lodged them online on returning home. Wow, I had my money back in 24hrs WOW.
You never know good travel insurance is until you have to use it. In this case, they were great.
As for the price paid it's good value but didn't had option to put emergency contact number. And also due to flight resheduled I rang them and inquired my options but felt like they just needed my money and customer service is very bad.
All in all, don't recommend to anyone.

I Travelled with my family overseas to lebanon and turkey , Our flights where cancelled from the turkish airline for an unknown reason , Me thinking its all good this is what insurance is for i was very mistaken after the all the inconvenience of rebooking flights, hotels, new visas taxis travel distribution , I spent apx $2200 Aud out of my pocket and when i got back to Australia i put the claim through , And they responded wanting proof of payments , reason for cancellation from airline , hotel booking receipts etc...
I provided them with a...s much info as possible credit card statements, Then they replied that they would get back to me with 10 working days , They ended up calling me today (8th working day) and they advised that under there PDS they can only cover cancellation due to strikes, plane repairs , protests , Bad weather and so on this is a joke , They came back and said that we can pay you back $12.40 , I told them they can keep it and went off my head i said this wouldn't even buy me a maccas meal , This has been the worst experience ever and typical insurance they will try and get off paying anything , from a $2000 claim they wanted to pay $12.40 , I advise you not to waste your money , I will take this up further with the department of fair trading , This is The absolute Bloody worst experience i have ever had to deal with.... One very unhappy customer i will posting my review on all social media and forums so others can be aware....
SCAM did not deliver as promised. Very BAD.
I have been using OTI since 2014 for my multiple trips each year. Never made a claim even that time I have missed the flight, I thought I would only use it if absolutely have to and in an emergency. I have made a claim this year for a lost ipad on the plane, I have forgotten to take it out of the seat pocket and within about 15 mins of realising it, I cannot go back to the gate and asked for it but instead the staff told me to report it in lost and found. Never got it back so I reported to airport security and filed a claim at OTI. I have been ...told it will take 10 days to process. After that I have received an email from senior claims officer that it has been recommended for settlement and it will take further 5 days for processing. After 5 days I rang to follow up, I have been told by the same officer that it is now sitting with accounts dept for processing and should be in my bank account shortly. Days had past no funds arrived in my account I follow up again, I have been told to wait for feedback from claims dept. After couple of days I received a claim rejected letter! SCAM!
Easy to use
This policy is very easy to set up and I feel a fir price for waht's offered..
I've used this policy a few times now and, although I've never had to make a claim, I'll continue to use it.
Online insurance billed me from my credit card without actually creating a policy! I had to request a refund of my money, which would take 7-10 days. How is it possible to bill me without creating a policy?
Didnt have to use it but experience with OTI was very easy and simple. Good value for what you get. Usually use these guys every time I travel. Good rates.

Easy online - great value - I feel very safe and secure knowing that I am insured - Going to Bali for Schoolies - hoping I dont have to claim - my parents very happy that I am insured.
Great, easy and stress free.
Application was easy to complete and all correspondence was very prompt. Luckily did not have to lodge a claim while overaseas but great to have the piece of mind of the comprehensive cover. Would recommend and will be using them again for any future trips.

Doing the comparison with other policies it was easy to set up. We did not have to claim so unable to make any further comments with regards to the process.

I have pasted the below information from the Product Disclosure Statement which I hope assists.
Section 3.2 Travel Delay Expenses
3.2.1 WHAT WE COVER
If a delay to your journey, for at least 6 hours, arises from circumstances outside your control, we will reimburse the cost of your reasonable additional meals and accommodation expenses.
We will pay up to $200 at the end of the initial 6 hour period. In addition we will pay up to $200 for each full 24 hour period that the delay continues beyond the initial 6 hour delay.
3.2.2 WHAT WE EXCLUDE
We will not pay if:
a] a delay to your journey arises from an act or threat of terrorism; or
b] your claim is caused by the financial collapse or insolvency of any service provider.
