Reformulation at the cost of customers'dental health – SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE - NEW FORMULA IS DANGEROUS I've used this for years, after I ran out I accidentally bought the whitening total care, caused massive teeth sensitivity, ulcers and blisters.had to see dentist and spent weeks using sensitivity toothpaste and waiting for my gums, cheeks and tongue to heal while my teeth went back to normal… Read more
sensitivity (none). Realised my mistake and purchased the all round protection (non-whitening allegedly) instead as I had always intended, after two days of use my teeth ate sensitive again. Goodbye Oral B. Never again.
Nasty new formula – This Oral-B has been my go to for a while now. Used to love the flavour, but as other reviewers have pointed out, the new made in China formula (previously made in Germany) is nasty. It is so foamy it's like having soap in your mouth, and the flavour is not as minty, it has an off-putting caramel like taste. The 24 hour protection claim has also been removed from the packaging. The only positive is the new cap. Please bring back the old product. Show details
Dont buy it – Strangest toothpaste i've ever used. Made all the skin in my mouth peel off in large amounts. Kept waking up in the night to spit out chunks of skin. I googled Oral B and google filled in the rest of the words skin sloughing. Says to me this must be a common issue with this product. Crazy reading all these bad reviews. Show details

Now made in China – I noticed the packaging and flavour were completely different to previous batches - low and behold P&G have cheapened out and it is now made in China instead of Germany. No way I’m putting this in my mouth! Show details

Buy the best forget the rest – I have been using this toothpaste for a while now and not only does it make your teeth whiter and stop sensitivity it also tastes GREAT. So I don't know where all these other reviews came from but they obviously don't know QUALITY when the see it and taste it. All they have done is run it down. I cannot stand people that give a product a bad name… Read more · 1
when it is extremely good to use. That is why I am writing this which I did not intend doing but feel that is my right to put things in proper perspective. I have given this toothpaste 5 stars and would give it more if I could.
I love this but – Yes, as a previous reviewer, skin peeling off my guns. It's my favourite toothpaste ever, but my dentist has threatened if the peeling doesn't stop, she will recommend going to a brand I dont like . I dont want to upset my lovely dentist! Help!!! Show details
Love it – The best enamel protection tooth paste. My teeth are very sensitive. I spent a lot money on orthodontics. Best product so far, gum care. Highly recommended. You don't need much. Show details · 1
Negative reviews
Caused ulcers, blistering, burns, tears bleeding on gums and inside of cheeks and a swollen sore tongue – It's quite shocking to see how many negative reviews this product has received. Despite there being so many complaints and consumer concern around this product, in regards to health and safety, Oral B or P&G don't seem to take any notice or serious approach to resolve or make good on the the obvious health issues many of us have endured due to… Read more
this company's negligence. There isn't any sign or warning on the box or tube itself stating that it may cause pain, discomfort, loss of taste, mouth ulcers, tears, bleeding gums, dry and sore lips all of which can lead to more serious risks for infections. We are met with a lousy automated response. It's just not good enough and it's concerning that these people couldn't care less how their product is misleading and harmful. Like many others, who have already shared their shock and disbelief, I don't understand how this toothpaste has made it on the shelves. I doubt it's even been properly tested. The implications that can arise from the damage this toothpastes causes can be severe in some cases. Still, they don't care. I got an infection due to my mouth being shredded by this toxic garbage. It's not just a handful of people who have experienced harm. It's more like every other person has experienced some horrible side effects without notice or caution.
I first used this toothpaste because it was on special and I thought Oral B to be a reputable brand. The first time I used it I noticed it was nothing like other toothpastes as it didn't foam up at all. It has a strange flavour and rinsed out pretty quickly before I could even finish brushing. Nothing major yet. A few hours later I noticed a mucous like feeling of tissue in my mouth and I pulled it out to see thick skin from my cheeks and gums. I didn't think much of it as I have had this happen before with other brands of whitening toothpaste. However I thought it was oddly strong because I haven't had this happen for a long time and thought I was used to this and I hadn't been using strong or whitening toothpaste before this one I brushed it off (pun not intended). The next few days I continued to use this product and the same thing would happen but I thought it was just a harsh toothpaste and I'll get used to it. I didn't. It got worse and worse. It was painful after using it for 3 days in a row. I didn't think that the toothpaste was harming me for some reason I just thought my mouth will adjust soon. After 1 week I couldn't do it anymore and haven't used it for 3 days now yet the state of my mouth has gotten worse after discontinuing. I have several ulcers on both side of my cheeks and blistering on my gums. Underneath my tongue is so painful it feels like I've cut it with sandpaper. The corners of my mouth sting every time I open my mouth so speaking hurts. My lips have also been peeling and have been left raw and sore. I have an infection due to the amount of cuts and open wounds in and around my mouth. I don't even have a problem with sensitivity. As I've mentioned, I'm used to whitening toothpastes and have never before experienced such a horrible and horrific experience with any oral care product like this one. It's absolutely toxic, harmful garbage. Imagine what it could do to your insides if you accidentally swallow some or not rinsed It out well enough. Don't purchase this crap. It is poison. The TGA should definitely investigate this. I wonder if we could put in a request for them to do so. It could even be grounds for a class action law suit. Sure is worth a try to get this crap off the shelves.
Horrible toothpaste that causes blisters in your mouth – I just searched for this toothpaste online because I wondered if anyone else is suffering like me. Myself and my husband used it a couple of times and we both have blisters under our tongues and on the inside of our gums. We're in so much pain. This is the second time it's happened. I bought the toothpaste a few weeks ago, we tried it and this… Read more
happened so we stopped. We agreed to try it again and the same thing happened. I have never had blisters in my mouth before. I also can't believe this product is still on the shelves.
Don't Buy Burns Your Mouth – Only recently purchased this toothpaste and it burns your mouth. Slimy white film appeared after each brush and mouth has been burning everyday since. I will never buy Oral B again, going back to Colgate. Show details

Left my tounge burning – Every time I've used this toothpaste, it has left my tongue feeling so sore. It almost feels like when you eat something really hot and your tongue is sore for the next 3-days. It's so uncomfortable, to the point where every thing I've eaten hasn't tasted like anything because my taste buds are impacted. Would not recommend this toothpaste to… Read more
anyone, and looks like I'm not the only one with this experience. My local Superdrug was pushing this toothpaste on anyone who came to the checkout with a different toothpaste. So annoyed I let them talk me into buying this one. I can see why they're trying to get rid of their stock. Beware!!!
Burn my gums! – This product burnt my teeth and gums which cause a white mucusy slime to be left behind after each wash. I later found out this was my actual gum. Left cuts all over my mouth. Do not use this product. Show details

Tastes like deep heat! – This toothpaste is horrible. It does not foam like other toothpaste no matter how much you add to your brush. So doesn't feel like it brushes your teeth properly. The taste is horrendous, I liken to eating deep heat. It leaves my mouth and tongue tingling and I have a weird jelly like substance in my mouth post brushing. How did this even get through testing? Bad reaction for me and my daughter – This product caused painful mouth ulcers for my teenage daughter. I had a few ulcers myself with patches of skin peeling off inside of my mouth after each use. The toothpaste burnt and felt scratchy after each use. I changed my toothbrush thinking that was the problem but same issues. It sounds to me it hasn’t been thoroughly safety checked. I’ve never had a problem with any other Oral B product. I’m switching back to Colgate after this . Show details

Worst Toothpaste I’ve ever used – Horrible toothpaste. Feels super acidic in mouth, burns tongue, burns skin and gums and leaves a gross congealed skin / gunk behind after brushing and rinsing my mouth. Judging from all of the other reviews, looks to be everyone else experience. Don’t touch this with a 10ft pole. Show details

TERRIBLE – This toothpaste has burnt my mouth almost lioe chemical burns through out. Leaving me without taste, a very sore tongue & sores all through out my mouth peeling on my cheeks and lips. Not many people go out and read reviews on toothpaste before buying but boy oh boy after tying this toothpaste I’d recommend everyone to research first! Id not recommend it considering everyone here has the same results it should be taken off the shelves. Show details

Destroyed my gums – I've been using this toothpaste for around two weeks. Around one week ago I became worried that something was wrong, as my gums became sore and started bleeding. me great distress. The pain, swelling and bleeding worsened throughout the week, to the point where I was crying at work. Additionally, my gums were slewing across the inside of my cheeks, so I spoke to one of our dentists. Upon examination he almost immediately concluded that it was due to the stannous fluoride in this toothpaste (most use sodium fluoride). He told me to throw it away and switch immediately. It will take almost two weeks for my gums to heal. I'm in so much pain that I can barely eat.

Horrendous allergic reaction – To be somewhat fair I have used this toothpaste for several months with no problem or so I was aware. Last Tuesday a tiny blob ended up shooting down my throat. went on for almost 10 minutes, it was after around 7 minutes that I was very aware that my prognosis was going to be deadly. My partner picked up the phone to call an ambulance and was getting ready to start CPR on me if it came to that. Luckily for me after about 10-11 minutes my oesophagus started to ease up a bit and I was able to breathe a bit easier. But my God, the adrenalin was there. To be honest I am shocked that I am still here now. I honestly thought I was not going to survive. It was devastating. I HIGHLY *DO NOT* RECOMMEND. I use a great toothpaste called Grants. Natural and healthy!

Do not buy this product – We tried this product because our supermarket shelves were suddenly flooded with it. We bought 2 tubes to replenish our camping supplies for an off-grid trip. Skin and dry mouth – Severe dry mouth and skin peeling! So glad I found these reviews as my anxiety is through the roof with it. I have a dentist appointment scheduled this week because of it. Formula change doesn't foam up requiring more and no longer feels like toothpaste – The finance folks at Oral-B think they are clever by changing the formula so that the toothpaste doesn't foam up tricking consumers to apply more and hence going through a tube quicker. Caused ulcers and red raw skin – Skin inside mouth and gums started feeling really sore. A week later, small white blisters started forming at the base of my gums, and the skin behind my lips was super sore and red. Mouth and gums hurt like hell, especially after tooth brushing. Messy, damages the mouth and offers limited cleaning – I gave this another go after using it once a couple of years ago. Like a lot of others have said, my gums and the inside of my mouth have started to peel after a brushing session. Not only that, the toothpaste is *crazy* messy. It doesn't froth up, and instead liquifies and drops onto your t-shirt, pajamas or whatever you're wearing. Used this… Read more

Aside from the toothpaste tearing my mouth apart which sounds horrific enough as it is, I'd have to say the messiness of it is the biggest deterrent. Neverrr again. Gave it a second chance and nothing's changed.
