Excellent AC! – We have installed this AC in our bedroom for about 1.5 years so far, using both in winter for heating and cooling in summer. This is a very quiet AC and works well. sleep and if i woke up through the night too hot or cold could just press sleep knowing it will switch off but with this one you have to select an off time, not easy to do in the dark. Not a major issue but it would be a nice option. I set both on and off times for when i think i will need it and that works for me. As i said it is quick to cool, i live in a climate where geckos get into outdoor units and often destroy air conditioners, i have been advised the panasonic have overcome this by coating the components with silicone for protection. I have yet to find out if it works but was told this by a retailer and the installer, price wise its in the same category as other brands, all seem to have specials and i got mine through the installer, but as it turned out i could have got it cheaper through retail store. At this stage I will be replacing my others when required with panasonic as i feel i can rely on them. My other branded ones have all had warranty issues and then break down again, i have replaced them all with the same brand as i felt they were a good brand but i feel they are failing me now and the brand reputation isnt as good now so i am giving panasonic a go now. So far so good.

relatively mild temps (25C in summer, 18C in winter), so the energy usage isn't bad at all. Note that I'm in Melbourne, so the unit isn't used constantly.

I'm pretty noise sensitive at night and these aren't really silent, but they are among the quietest I've come across at this price point.

Works like a charm – The AC has worked consistent since its installation. It was quick and easy to install and cause no problems for the installer. Great Bedroom A/C – This Air conditioner was purchased for a bedroom. We have found it quiet to operate with an easy remote control. We purchased to replace and older unit and have noticed a great reduction in power bill. It keeps a regular sized room nice and cool in summer. Panasonic Reverse Cycle is the best – I got this fantastic machine installed in my medium size living room and it's been working fantastically both in winter and summer. I cannot find anything to complain as it works as I'd hope for. It is my first Reverse Cycle I've ever bought and I will stick with Panasonic brand as I'm very happy with its performance. filters ultra-clean. I have around 20 split system a.c units across several houses and consequently I can state that this is the noisiest of the last 10 installations. The quietest units I have are the Mitsubishi heavy industry ones, followed by Daikin. Unfortunately this whistler is in my own bedroom. I will not buy another Panasonic!

Good aircon, but a little noisy – The heating and cooling performance is quite good, it cools very quick. The outdoor unit is a little noisy, even at "quite" mode. It is ok during the day due to background noise, but we don't like to keep it running all night. The installation is fairly easy according to the electrician did my job. Not so Cool – We purchased a Panasonic split A/C recently as it was recommended to us by our installer. the unit looks good and seem to work quietly but the air temp does not seem cold enough? Good quality product – The unit works perfectly in hot and cold weather and I reckon it is energy efficient. The noise level is acceptable but not as good as diakin. about 4 years ago stopped cooling. The unit was still under the standard 5 year warranty at the time and a service tech was at the house the next day and fixed the problem within the hour. I have been a happy Panasonic customer for years and highly recommend the ECONAVI airconditioners.

Worse air conditioner i ever bought – It makes very loud thumping noises. I turn it off before sleeping as it sounds are really loud. Found out later that it came without gas. Even after re gassing, the clicking sounds still remain. Unbelievable. The worse purchase ever. Youtubed it and found someone with the same problem. Dont waste your money.  Show details

Great value for money – I was able to purchase this unit for pretty low cost, bundled with cheap installation it was a steal. Quiet and fast cooling – I am happy with the purchase, this is very quiet at night and starts cooling the room within 10 mins. I am glad that I made the right decision. bedroom is on the second story, which would help. The lights on the air con can be turned off and the remote is very easy to navigate. The bedroom is quite large an area and it cools it down in about 10 mins. We have had other Panasonic air cons that are now about 30 years old and still very efficient, so we were happy to get another one. This one is very good though!

Lifesaver – We have a 2BR split level apartment that gets steaming hot on both levels but we could only install this for our lounge/dining/kitchen area (bedrooms on 2nd level) and it works like a charm and cools all over. 5 months and we've had 0 issues, and I clean the filter and Nanoe G filter semi-regularly. Power consumption is pretty negligent considering it's been running almost 24/7 the past month, and it's a pretty quiet unit inside and outside if you don't have the air on full blast. Love that it has sensors to figure out when you leave the room to save consumption.

Haven't tried heating mode, but I'm sure it will be just as good.
