Too many complaints – The indoor unit gets noisy after 5 years and too many people complain about it I'll prefer not to buy Panasonic aircon it's better to buy some other cheaper brands and they do much better than Panasonic aircon . ...... . . . . . ? ?? ? ? ? ?  Show details

Good while it worked – 8kw to heat and cool a large area. This was chosen over other brands as Panasonic has/had a good reputation with us as we have other products of the same brand. It came with a five year warranty which reinforced our perception of a quality product and worked fine until the sixth year when it died. Cost of repair is the same as a new machine.

A complete con for 'Dry Mode Setting' – The dry mode setting increases the room humidity to 90% which is totally useless. What good is this setting. I was told by the seller this would 'Decrease the Humidity', however Panasonic have admitted it does increase the humidity. As stated previously this unit does not perform as I was led to believe by the agent selling the Panasonic. When I… Read more

benchmark this with similar Air conditioner Inverter such as LG (Excellent first class Air Conditioner) I am extremely disappointed with what I have to put up with.

What other bands of Air Conditioners say 'Dry Mode' and 'Increase Humidity - None. Panasonic have admitted their mistake in the print for the unit but have refused to replace or refund. I would never purchase another Panasonic Air Conditioner due to their inept poor customer service and lack of empathy

Piece of Junk! – Once my Panasonic ran out of warranty a while back, it started playing up. Had technicians visit numerous times to get it working again over the years.. Now the timer light is blinking to tell me it needs to be repaired again... not happy.

Disappointed customer – Not happy at all with our 7.4 Panasonic Inverter air conditioner and like other reviews, cooling is good but heating is dreadful. The vertical swing does not work in heat mode and only pumps out warm air, which is not enough in really cold weather. Sorry we purchased this unit and will replace it as soon as practical. We also have a Mitsubishi 5kw unit which is a far better air-conditioner. Cooling is OK Heat mode is lacking.

Excellent – Excellent machine. We are considering a smaller unit for the bedroom; Panasonic will be on the list. This unit is quiet and easy to set for any area condition. Has worked well. Panasonic was initially chosen because it had the smallest head unit - had to fit between two windows. Installer (independent) said it was a good unit. It is quiet,… Read more

has good settings control and appears to be economical. We have had it for five years. Bought a little larger than needed. No real cons. There was something that had to be changed yearly to get the mountain air effect but it has not been missed. Settings can be messed up by someone with little A/C knowledge.

Good – Bought 3 split systems, 2 ten years ago and 1 inverter 3 years ago and apart from minor problems, they have met expectations. The inverter is much better than the older models and can recommend this brand. Attracted by the brand name of Panasonic. The air purifiers only last about six months before needs replacing and the cost was over $50.… Read more

Decided not to replace anymore. A remote on one does not work anymore and there are no manuel controls to turn on and off but is now 10 year old but have been unable to replace. I contacted Panasonic by web contact, but they did not get back to me so they lose points on that basis.

It does what its designed for: cool – We bought this aircon for a bedroom upstairs. It does exactly what it is meant to do: it cools the room in summer and it warms the room in winter. Its a straight forward aircon, no fuss, no problems. When first turned on it gives a slight smell lbut once on temperature,l the smell goes away. We have had it cleaned once which helped with the smell… Read more

as well.

We have had no problems with it whatsoever and would easily buy the same one again. Quick cooling, easy handling. Nothing, except for a slight smell when turned on

Excellent – It is brilliant. Runs so quietly & manages to keep the house cool, even our master bedroom & sons bedroom which are at opposite ends of the house. The controller is simple & easy to use. We couldn't be happier, would recommend it to everyone! We have a large open plan house & it does a great job keeping it cool.

cuts out when its too cold – I bought this unit thinking it would be my answer to cooling and heating. The cooling is fine the heating is terrible, when you realy need it to work the dam thing freezes up and cuts out . was not told this when i bought it . also the heating takes about 8 min to start when you turn it on. Very disappointed with this unit and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. cooling is good . the heating is not good at all cuts out when its cold outside

Good, not great – I've had this unit for nearly 5 years and it works really well when it's for cooling! However the biggest con is that the heating only blows warm air when it's on MAX (ie 30 degrees) and when you want to put it on automatic (say 23 degrees), it blows cool air!!! I have not replaced this unit before as it was so new but now I'm really getting fed… Read more

up with having to use it on max temperatures in winter. In fact, I use it to warm up the room quickly and then I put another heater on (radiator) to keep the room warm. A bit pointless! I bought this unit with another one from Mitsubishi, and that blows warm air even on low settings like 21 degrees so I have regretted getting the Panasonic ever since!!! My in-laws in Sweden also have a Panasonic in Sweden which they had on constantly on a low temp "heat" setting (about 22) which only ever blows cool air so I know this isn't a one-off! A waste of money! Cool setting is good and energy efficient. Blows cool air on the "heat" setting if set to any less than the max temperature!!! Actually makes the room colder!

Foul smell makes me nauseas! – I wouldn't buy it again. From the start it has had a foul smell when I use the cool mode at 24-25 degrees (22 - no problem - just FREEZE!). I had something (a motor?) replaced almost immediately... and I've recently had it professionally cleaned. It's only 2 yrs old and STILL has this awful, sickening smell! Heater function works well As an air conditioner - MAJOR dissapointment! Foul, sickening smell at comfortable temperatures.

Panasonic airconditioners are ?*&%, noisy and underperform – Seemed great at first. My model is CSE-24HKR Inside fan just keeps getting louder and lounder. And vibrating ridiculously which increses with fan speed. Noise started a few months after installed. Remember this ac is only 1.5 years old. I have other ac's (one 10 years old and is more efficient and the fan silent and not even a name brand). Made… Read more

in Malaysia - dunno if this is the reason for the product. But would never buy Panasonic again.

To top it off, once in a while the drop tray will overflow and spill inside the room

Apparently i have a 5 year warranty, but from other reviews i feel uneasy if this will be resolved. Seemed like a decent brand Noisy indoor fan, can only put on lowest speed or ac will vibrate off the wall. The noise is irritating

Good – I am very happy with the Panasonic Inverter. We have used both uinits on hot muggy days and cold days and the units have worked well in both environments. To date we have had not problems at all and would investigate the Panasonic range when the need arises. Before we purchased an airconditioner we did a lot of research. My partner did his… Read more

apprenticeship at Carrier and so knows a lot about airconditioning. The decision was for the price, quality and features that Pansonic would be the best. We have had two Panasonics now for around 6 years and to date we have not had any issues whatsoever.

The units are quiet and efficient and I appreciate the ioniser. Overall the appearance could be better but given the units are 6 years old there are more stylish units available now where the unit acts as a design feature rather than a thing on the wall.

Excellent – The big plus for me was the noise. There isn't much noise from this machine, including the outside unit. It handles a large area well and we have had our first summer power bill in and even with the rate rise it has not gone up that much. I love the air purifier, but I have allergies and asthma so I can tell. Very impressed with this unit. All… Read more

our research and running around for a couple of months looking for one paid off. Even better, got an interest free deal over four years from Retravision. Lovely and cold. Different fan settings. Timer. So quiet. Temperature control. Cools a large space. We have the biggest one and it cools a 100m2 area. Reliable. Economical to run. Air purifier which works wonders for my asthma. It's non-conventional streamlined look. Easily changes to heating mode. The outdoor unit is also very quiet. Easy to use remote. Sticks out alot from the wall.

Excellent – I have brought another inverter for one room off the house and it is smaller than the 2.5 panasonic inverter, there is no comparision to the panasonic. The other is more expensive and noiser where the panasonic is so cost effective and sometimes i have to look to see if it is still on.It has a patrol so it does all the work when it is on. It dries… Read more

The heat side is quick and the temperature is monitored at a steady and acurate temp.very impressed with it and would buy another without hesitation. very efficient, runs extremely well and quiet .cools my large home down and keeps it cool all day and night without the expense. have to go outside to defrost

Excellent – I would definitely buy this brand again, although would look at an in-ceiling ducted model as the air doesn't really go around corners (and I knew that anyway before buying it, but this is all my budget would allow). Had my 7.4kw unit for about 3 years now, absolutley trouble free. Quiet and powerful for a 60sqm area plus passage way and really… Read more

only need it on the low setting. Did ice up a few times but might be because I didn't clean the filters (my fault) or kids playing with settings and went straight from heat setting to cold setting.

OK – Quite a good and resonably priced unit, unsure if I would purchase it again though. I would probably do more research on other brands aswell. Love the air purifier. Excellent – After spending time thoroughly researching and searching all over the net, I found the Panasonic to be the best! I have always bought Panasonic due to their fantastic quality! and just mounts on the wall below the unit. I would have liked if it had left and right motorised airflow control, but this is not overly important.

Overall, the unit is fantastic, quiet inside and out. Noise was really important and I was skeptical when brands would claim their unit was "whisper quiet" however this unit really is!

Well done Panasonic on the production of such a fantastic unit! Quietness, 2 in 1 Air Purifier and filtration system. Love the Patrol Sensor and the e-ion function. The fact that it does not have (on the smaller models) motorised left and right airflow control; it has to be adjusted manually.

Excellent – Panasonic really delivery quality goods. I replaced two unrelaible LG units with the Panasonics. They use less power and really warms and cools the house very quickly. Reliable, easy to use, very efficient. Can't think of any cons.
