went in and chose an alternative carpet and [Name Removed] came out to measure up my 2 rooms. I was assured by him that he would be in contact within a few days regarding an installation date. I waited a week and the phone call never came. After several phone calls to the head office in Belmont I was assured my new carpet had been ordered but would be a 2-3 week wait. After this wait I called the Myaree office and got a helpful representative [Name Removed] who arranged an installation date and made up an invoice. It was reported that the previous Myaree representative [Name Removed] had not ordered the carpet or made up an invoice before moving to another store. After waiting near 2 months the carpet installers then arrived with the carpet only to quickly discover the [Name Removed] had measured the 2 rooms incorrectly and there was only enough carpet to do 1 room. I was then told by the installers a manger would call to discuss carpet for the other room. This didn’t happen and I had to chase them up. At this point I was told I’d have to wait another few weeks for them to order the carpet from over east. That time has now passed and I called up after receiving no communication only to be told to call again in another 2 weeks(mid March) to find out if the carpet has arrived yet in Perth. Meanwhile I have underlay in one of my rooms with no carpet and both my children and dog have been injured by the spikes around the perimeter of the floor. I’m very disappointed in the initial sales representatives lack of ability to measure rooms, failure to put together an invoice and the poor communication throughout the whole process. I am potentially going to have to wait up to 3 months just to get carpet in 2 rooms of my home.

Unfortunately Parrys are not flexible at all, sure their T's & C's are provided but at the time of making an appointment for the carpet installation we were already within 48 hours of installation which gave us zero flexibility to make a date change and we were advised that a $250 rescheduling fee will apply, also if you cancel your purchase with… Read more

I said 6:30am was not convenient and was told in a very condescending manner that it was too bad and I would have to be inconvenienced for one day. Imagine my surprise when the installer told me that head office had rang him and said I insisted that he arrive at 6:30am and he would have happily pushed the start time back as he had no other jobs. I’m not sure why the company felt the need to be condescending and vindictive but I will be sure to let others know not to bother dealing with them.

We wanted to replace smelly carpet in our home office with vinyl floor planks to match the adjacent flooring. The original planks are out of production, but Derek found a very close match so that it looks virtually seamless compared to the original. Horrible experience – Worst customer service I have ever seen, country customers beware, just go elsewhere they will not help you out at all other than to say that's our policy your problem. left none the wiser. After the wait and on the day of instalment, the installer arrived, only to tell me the floor wasn’t suitable for a good finish. Whilst I respect his professional advice, how is the average punter to know if a floor is suitable for instalment unless you’re given some advice from the company beforehand. He also informed me that there would be a $7 metre surcharge on any glue he made need to use - again no mention of it during the consult with the salesman. An arrogant, self-righteous manager rang soon after to inform me I’d have to pay $175 (read the conditions in the order form - no amount of any penalty is mentioned.) When I told him I’d like to shove his carpets up, he turned the conversation away completely from my complaint and all about how I had made threatening remarks ........I’m not sure if that’s a clever diversion strategy or just someone being precious. So now I’m left without any carpet in my house until I pay these people the $175. Advice for anyone considering buying from them .....read the fine print on the back of the order before you sign off. Lots of details there that was not mentioned with the salesman. The 20 terms and conditions all look after the interests of Parrys - not one that I could see has the interests of the buyer. I reckon that sums up the company mindset. Only that I’ve paid the full amount, I would be going back to use a local company.

So, I'd say that you will get a great result but you may have to wait an age, if your job is small (mine being 24 sq m). Large areas are prioritised, obviously.

Reading the other 23 reviews, I see that Parry's rates only 2.7 out of 5, with 8x5 stars, 13x1 stars & 2x4 stars. Common complaints are lack of communication & promises unfulfilled, with which I agree.

Beyond Expectations – Just finished having two houses re carpeted by Parrys. Unbelievable service from Alain at the Malaga showroom, but wait, it gets better, actual laying was the best quality I have experienced in many house re carpets, thank you Ritchie for your skilled craftsmanship , not a fault in site, absolute first class workmanship, you and Alain are a credit to Parrys Show reply

Fantastic employees, my floors look amazing – Alan in Malaga was brilliant with helping us, we had laminated floor before but Alan showed us vinyl plank flooring and we trusted his opinion, and boy are we glad we have . Vinyl planks lifting and extra costs – While we were building our new house we purchased our flooring from Parrys Malaga store. installers, to contact and pay directly and said they do a outstanding job. The sales rep forgot to quote our theater room (which was carpet), I contacted him to purchase the extra room. We had the vinyl planks laid first then the carpet. The installer who was recommended by Parrys, came and done the job in 1 day. On first inspection there was lifting planks, the installer had to come back 3 times and replace lifting planks and replace large sections. There was meant to be a life time warranty against lifting planks. There is more planks that are lifting and the installer won't return my message. Very disappointing. While we were having the initial issues with the flooring we contacted Parrys but they advised the installers don't work for them and it's not there responsibility. Why are they giving there contact details and even pricing the installation for the vinyl planks. We called the manufacturer of the vinyl planks and they came to inspect and said there was nothing wrong with the planks, it is a installation issue. The carpet layer did a good job, but there was the extra cost of carpet trim, which we had to pay carpet layer directly. Phoned the sales rep and he said he mentioned it, maybe he did but I could not remember. I also paid the vinyl installer an extra $330 for feather finish on the concrete, Parrys sales rep gave us an initial price of $2370 to install vinyl planks. Next time I purchase flooring it will be through a company that can do the whole job supply and install with no hidden costs and with warranty through a reputable company. While you are building you need to know all costs upfront so you can budget. We are very Disappointed with the process of our flooring, as we spent a lot of money and expected a good job as promised. We still have planks that have lifted as they didn't put enough glue and rushed the job.

I had to take them to Court to solve a relatively simple issue; Disgusting – Payed upfront; was charged $20.- extra for a door trim that was installed in the wrong place. Yesterday we received a courtesy text, from the Company confirming the arrival time of the carpet layer, and today he arrived at the appointed time. His work was exceptional, and his attention to detail a joy to see, he also made suggestions on a couple of doors that need skimming.Once finished he also cleaned up afterwards,so nice to see a tradesman that takes such pride in his work.

Lies lies and more lies – We purchased our carpet from sly salesman on the 14th of April 2017 with a promise of install 2 weeks later. we were told that they do not refund deposits and we would have to wait for the carpet or choose another colour. We then called consumer protection who advised us to write them an email requesting a refund so that statements were made in writing. We then spoke to customer service who then also told us our original quote of $3700 had increased to $4210 due to incorrect measurements 7 weeks after our purchase. This was a complete nightmare and by the end of it management granted a refund today the 9th of June 2017. Beware these people are dishonest and will lie to get a deal. You have been warned. Unfortunately we read many other negative reviews when it was all too late.

sales approach. Fast forward to 27/02/17 I have been told by [name removed] the general manager that it needed to be in writing for them to honour the previous deposit. As I needed carpet and was offered $300 off a new order which I took as a discount not in lieu of the old order I put another deposit on some other carpet. I thought they might have some moral judgement and honour the original deposit but I mistaken. This has not stopped me from taking this matter further thus doing company search on ASIC website which lists the directors and their address and therefore is in the public domain and anyone can access this information. I have been to their address but is apartment complex with keycard entry and only spoke to one of the directors briefly on the intercom and got no satisfaction. As well I got their home phone number through the white pages so I can discuss this matter with them as directors which I am legally entitled to. If they won't help I will issue a court summons against them personally being directors of the holding company. After this I will never purchase any flooring product from Parrys and warn everyone to stay clear and not make the same mistake I made.

Promise the world and poorest service ever – Poor communication and hide cost in terms and conditions. The guy completed installation didn't clean the mess and left earlier. The Sale wrote "not to remove gripper" without tell me what is a gripper. When installer came, this costed me extra $150. The installation of our carpet was done to a professional level and the carpet looks amazing. We could not be happier. Miscommunication and misunderstandings occur and this is acceptable when it is recognised and dealt with - and this is exactly was Ian did. with Baldy and I can't recommend him highly enough.

As I was working to a time frame, he ensured that the carpet was to be laid when I needed it to be. I had an issue with underlay at my house, I opted to leave the existing underlay down to help on cost, but when I pulled up the carpet it was as damaged as the carpet, so a quick phone call was made and underlay was included again at a nominal charge. On a couple of occasions I was not able to speak to Baldy direct, but my query was sorted just as efficiently by other sales staff at Belmont. Baldy however would return my call to make sure that everything was ok. I had to work to a budget with my carpet, however I feel that the carpet I did choose was good quality and has helped to make my rental look like a house to be lived in and not just a place to stay. joined. I really don't think I will report it as it is too much hassle to have to argue about getting them to fix laying faults and asking them to pay for an electrician to fix my damaged lights. The carpet installed is the wrong carpet, same colour but of a poorer quality. I was advised that I was going down the wrong channels and that is why it was not replaced in the first place, however the lady I dealt with to finally have it replaced was the same person I dealt with previously.

Long wait and poor customer service on the phone – lady on the phone wasn't pleasant. Very long wait to get carpet laid. Sales person wasn't really accommodating and was sarcastic to me. Requested me to pay the fees upfront but when I read the invoice, it says customer is able to pay just a deposit & the balance a week before installation. Bad customer service

Once they have your cash, the service goes downhill fast – I used Parrys for carpet installation. The price was meant to be all inclusive, but I was charged extra at the time of installation because the concrete was too hard for nails (glue costs more, they tell me). "installation included" being misleading, I was told that Parry's "can't cover the full $100" but would go "half half" and charge me only $50. I spent $4,000 with them, and they quibbled (somewhat rudely, I might add) over an unexpected extra charge of $100 that their sales people had neglected to tell me about?!!. Ridiculous. In addition, the installer was obviously irritated when I challenged the extra charge and made no attempt to hide that fact. I will never use them again and would suggest very strongly that anyone planning to do so reconsider.

never again – What a joke. Installer booked and never turned up! Called the office and they had no idea. Booked another day, this time came, installed and smashed every single newely painted door frame trying to take off the door. All had to be re painted. Not to mention chipping the walls.
