The worst insurer with horrible customer service and claims process I have ever dealt with. Agents are rude and disrespectful. Claims not paid out in spite of providing the quotes they had requested. wouldn't commence work until they have the insurer approval for the full quoted amount. I offered to go to the insurer's preferred repairer if the quote I provided was excessive and they wont agree to that. DO NOT INSURER WITH THESE MUPPETS. THESE GUYS ARE FRAUDS. Complaint is now going to AFCA or may take consumer action in court if need be. This is now a matter of principle as providers like this should not be allowed to operate in the market. The number of negative reviews on this insurer probably explains it.

Bravia gave me a fantastic customer experience today. She knew her company’s policies and guidelines and helped me tremendously. Also Mary in records was extremely helpful as well. I didn’t get the option to buy the car back, it took them 2 months to finally process the payment and I had to pay the full remainder of the year insurance cover even though my car was written off by them Really bad company would look elsewhere. Had a really bad experience with them. Their client rear-ended my car at a round about, and he had comprehensive insurance of PD. He lodged a claim with them. I wasn’t contacted by them as I was the party “not at fault”, and I had to reach out to them multiple times to get the claim number. provide them the repair quote, which i did quickly, and provided them the quote. Then they wasted 2 weeks doing nothing, and i called and emailed them for follow up, after which they said they didn’t get the quote (a total lie as my repairer copied me into the quote emails sent to PD). Eventually they accepted they have received the quote and will send it to their assessor. 1 more week passed and no response. Finally after almost a month of claim lodge, they got back to me, and guess what, they offered “less than half the amount quoted by my repairer” and not just that, trying to put a blame on my end, when its simply my car rear ended and that too in a stopped state. I would say they are the worst insurance company out there. I am lodging a complaint in AFCA to sort this out.

Systems and processes are all broken. Only process that seems to work efficiently is the monthly collection of the fees. 1. You can't see your own claims online 2. They close claims randomly based on unclear instructions 3. They also close claims when they themselves merge policies, not realising an existing policy was stored under the policy… Read more
that was closed 4. They take weeks to follow up with repairers 5. They ask the same question everytime i call, when i say something like "for the third time... this", they get all whiny and say they've never spoken to me personally before, they must forget that they all work for the one company and this information needs to be stored and utilised by future customer service reps.

customer 10+years since Progressive then they changed name to PD. price looks cheap??? but it will be crap service, once you have claim you end up to pay huge more. if you do not claim. they are nice people and take your money , thankfully. but once claim, they firstly do not care you as a customer, they will treat you like criminal people. checking you and all your listed drivers history. if any one has a bad driving history, any one has claim if if you did not stated. they will deny your claim. and be careful when they asked you took photos around your car which involved in accident, if they found one tiny scratch if you did not stated when you bought your policy or renewal, they will deny your claim , saying you failed to disclose the "pre-existing damage".
this company has no direct phone line but a 1300.. number, every time you called them it needs to wait for half an hour. and they have no office in Australia, only post box number. and the call centre people are overseas.
anyone read this please avoid this company and share this with your friends. it will save your huge money and stress. go for other companies with good reputation even you pay a few hundred more.

Thirdly, the repair shop could not believe the double up of information and the time delays that their system created. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR, IF YOU NEED A LOW COST INSURANCE OPTION TRY YOUI. Could not see how anyone could be less helpful, trustworthy or unresponsive than PD Insurance. If you are not out yet, get out now. Have looked at YOUI for comparison and found that they are not only cheaper for the same cover, but the delay on the phone is only 20 seconds instead of the I.5 hours at PD Insurance. Don't support dropkicks, take your money elsewhere and push to lift the standards.

Very Stressful – I was in a car accident & i was not at fault. The fault driver took responsibility. I phoned my insurer PD insurance at the time of the accident. There was limited assistance because although it was 330pm in Perth WA, PD insurance is based in the eastern states& services close down earlier for Perth. for about 50mins & the phone cut out. Each time I phoned it was an average wait of 40 minutes. This I found distressing most of all. As I had just been in an accident. There were so many arising issues& I needed help. When I did reach someone i received a careless tone (other than one lovely lady but I cannot remember her name). As part of the claim they requested I provide a mountain of documents and photos of every angle of the cars. I started stressing what if I missed a photo at the time of the accident, would they void my claim? Hours and hours of my time were taken up. I had no car to get to work. I asked about a hire car which was for a limited period (which I understood as part of the policy but I needed a car until the problem was resolved) So I phoned the fault driver's insurer. They told me I had two options, I could lodge with my insurer or lodge with them. If I lodged with them I would have a hire car until I had my write off payment or if my car could be repaired, I could have the hire car until repair completion. So I cancelled my claim with PD insurance & lodged with the fault driver's insurer. This took less than a minute to sort out with them!! PD insurance would have known I had the option of lodging my claim with either them or the fault driver insurer but NEVER mentioned it to me when it was in my best interest. Overall it was extremely distressing dealing with PD, it took a toll on my mental health. It was worse than the car accident itself. I have since cancelled my policy
