A good service, had it since 2022 as we couldn't get comparable service and speeds from other providers for the price we pay. It's now September 2025, we have had the need to call Pentanet technicians out twice in the 3 1/2 years we've been with them. Once to upgrade hardware, and then to re position after storm damage. Faultless – speedy and reliable had no dropouts thus far, I have not had any negative issues or problems so cannot comment on the help or standard of service of something I have not yet needed. My initial contact and installation of my service was on time and couldn't have gone any better, the tech (Shanahan) was friendly informative and more then willing to answer any questions I have about the fixed wireless service.
Pentanet, the Betternet option – We've had pentanet for a good while now. No issues ever. It only goes off during planned outages or of my cat unplugs the modem. I can't recommend them enough. that was cool. No drop outs yet, great speeds, low latency and low ping. Also a pretty good price for everything you get.
They also have an app which I would highly recommend as it has some really cool features that I havnt really seen elsewhere, such as: blacklist, notification when user accesses wifi, modem lights and more.
I got this at the begging of sep 2024 and will update if my options have either changed or need tweaking.
Just wanted to add a small update as of 10/01/25 only ever had very minimal issues that resolved quickly, without needing to call pentanet. So I'm sticking to what I said, this is a great service and have recommended to a few more people becouse of how much i love the service.

issues escalated have been ignored. Just overall rude and seemingly disinterested.
Probably the interaction I found most shocking was when I was inquiring to make a change to my plan that was within the bounds of their terms and conditions - their customer representative refused. When I pointed out that it was within the terms and conditions as per Pentanet's website - the reply I received was:
"Pentanet, as per the T&Cs, reserves the right to cancel or change these Terms & Conditions at any time in its sole discretion."
I found this a very odd reply. So essentially any agreement or commitment they make you with is meaningless. Because they can change the T&Cs at any point in time to suit whatever is in their interests.
Would not recommend their services.

I switched from iiNet and haven't looked back. I used to rate iiNet for their customer service whom I used on a regular basis but frankly speaking I have not required to use Pentanets customer service as it rarely ever faults. result, my service was disconnected.
To get my service reconnected, I was repeatedly frustrated by poor communication. I had to take a day off work for an NBN technician appointment, but the technician never showed up. When I followed up with the provider, I was told the appointment was canceled—but they never informed me. I lost a whole day's work. No compensaiton was offered, just a too bad so sad!
Finally, they rebooked the service for the NBN, but it has now been a week since I first contacted them. This entire process has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. I am counting down the days until I can switch providers!
buffering – This pathetic organisation still only opens 8 to 5 despite being in the business of supposely providing a 24/7 product. Buffering so bad despite resetting my router l gave up trying to watch Stan. Taking money and not offering the service is in my opinion theft. tried to cancel only to discover that I had unknowingly signed into a 12-month contract and had to pay $200 for a pathetic service. I even paid more than my previous provider. I would strongly not recommend supporting this company!

Great internet service provider – Fast stable internet. I had constant daily drops outs when with iprimus, and made the switch to Pentanet who have provided a much more stable connection with what might be a drop out every 3-4 months versus the 3-4 per day I was having with the old ISP. Best service I have found in our area :) – Excellent speed and rarely ever outages. Not affected by local peak usage times (eg. end of school day) and rarely ever had an outage. Have tried several providers in the past and cant go past these guys
Trouble free internet service – Moved to new area in September this year. Initial set up was prompt, no fuss with router provided free of charge.Internet has not missed a beat and has been trouble free ever since.

within minutes I was on the new plan - now paying less than before and having faster up and download speeds, which come in very handy for streaming and podcasting. Overall, I am very happy with Pentanet and their services and can only recommend them as your ISP using Fixed Wireless (if you have line of sight to the next tower)

to be cancelled I would need to know first thing in the morning. A Days wages lost and further prevented from doing any other duties while waiting. This is just not good enough. Perhaps you need to review your promises and staff capability.

difference in approach between Pentanet tech and the NBN representative was night and day. The Pentanet tech was an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. His professionalism and expertise shone through every step of the way.
What really stood out was this individual's willingness to go above and beyond during the installation. Instead of taking the easier route of installing conduit down the side of the house, he took the time and effort to feed the cables through the walls. His attention to detail and commitment to excellence was AMAZING!

Pentanet is Disorganized and the Set Up is Confusing – Pentanet has the most disorganized customer service that I have ever experienced with an ISP. to be billed in our name. They did not follow through and ultimately we got a notice that the service would be disconnected due to an unpaid bill for the transfer fee of $29 (which I had already under the previous account holders name -- I sent them proof...)
After much back and forth they finally admitted that yes they had the contract and the payment and apologized for threatening to shut the service.
Then they asked us to change the settings on the router and provided an instruction page that was incorrect. I pointed that out to the chat and they agreed and said they would advise the team to fix the errors.
They asked me to connect using ethernet - I don't have that port on my laptop. The response 'well we can't help you then'
I asked how I could cancel the service then. That got their attention and they have escalated it to a higher power... I have been waiting on the chat for 15 minutes...
"Bear with me one moment, we are looking into this further."
This service is complicated and confusing to set up... and the customer service is totally disorganized.
