Pleasantly Surprised – We have been very happy with the speeds achieved and the reliability of the service. We have had a couple of short dropouts in 6 months, both due to NBN issues. Crap internet – This service is not worth the money. constantly dropping out. Speeds on a go slow. Works fine 40% of the time. They charge you 100% of the time. We have been without internet multiple times they never give any credit or compensation. Pentanet suck and don’t expect to speak to anyone ever. the problem. Yeah right. Blame it on others. Speed test it 9x. All ping was over 7ms. Going with them as the internet provider was a bad idea. For anyone looking for a good provider. Look somewhere else.

Terrible – Pentanet's internet service is subpar due to expensive pricing, lack of competitiveness, frequent downtime, slow speeds, and poor quality. Today's downtime lasted for more than 6 hours and continues, which is unacceptable. It took 2 hours to reach a customer service representative on the phone, and as a result, I have chosen to cancel my service and switch to a different provider. Show details

Great internet, poor billing practices – If you want great internet from a company local to Perth, be prepared to be patient with their billing practices. Setting up a direct debit from my Pentanet account needed a call to the helpdesk. There are fields to complete on the on line form where the answers are not obvious. on a date we both agreed, my service was throttled the day after I made the first payment, as the payment hadn't cleared with Pentanet. Back again to the helpdesk to get my service reinstated.

Next comes an email to say that direct debits can no longer be made from a bank account, but have to be made from a card. Back into my account again to revise the payment details, which will have to be revised again when my card expires.

Now, having done all of the above, I'm informed today by email that the price of my plan is increasing from today. No mention in the email that this is a change to my contract that I haven't agreed and that I have the right to leave.

Back again on another call to the helpdesk, to be told that I now have to give 30 day's notice to leave a higher cost plan that I didn't agree to.

Decide if you want to help a local business, or you want a hassle free life. You can have both with Pentanet.

My old ISP, iiNet were cheaper, no hassle and have 24/7/365 helpdesk support. Pentanet don't

ever. If something goes wrong they amaze me by their great tech support and quick response times. I’ve had other ISPs in my time and hands down Pentanet is gold standard and i tell all my friends and Facebook groups who ask how great they are. They too have connected and all happy customers. So I hope people don’t listen to ridiculous negative reviews as I’ve read on here. They really are baseless.

Disappointed – Originally got pentanet because a friend was given a code and if we used it we would both get a $50 gift card. After signing up I was told it was only for fixed wireless plans. Yet both have have NBN. Every time I’ve attempted to put my RAC number in to receive 5% discount it says i can’t at this time. “No up front costs” but had to pay $244… Read more

Wouldn’t really mind about all that stuff if we at least got good internet buttt I’m really upset with our service. Can’t even load a Facebook video on my phone even though my phone is the only thing connected to it. Bought for Netflix for my tv but always having problems loading. Going to have to upgrade to premium just to watch Netflix once a day - I’m not even on the lowest plan. You can’t upgrade your plan online either, you have to call up.

I’ve had my service “restricted” (works the same as when there’s no restriction) twice now because direct debit from a bank account is hard to set up. They are very quick to restrict you.

local who fixed my problem over the phone in under 10 minutes with a professional manner. There was a small issue with the password issued over by email not being correct, but that was identified early and sorted. Early days, but I feel that the customer service was on the mark.

Sorted – I just switched from Optus to Pentanet. Under Optus we were disconnected from WiFi for about two months; they simply could not troubleshoot effectively to solve our NBN issue. Mostly harmless – We changed from Telstra 50/20 plan to Pentanet's 50/20(both are FTTN) and found that available bandwidth was appalling. We have a Fingbox wired into the modem which gives an accurate account of the performance, complete with monthly reports. Many emails were sent back and forth with support for over 2 months which resulted in a call back from one… Read more

of the directors to say that their backend provider for NBN was going to change. Six weeks later, Pentanet's backend was changed which made a huge difference. Now the drop offs are mainly down to the rain which effects the copper to the NBN node so we're going to try out the 30/10 fixed wireless set up as latency is a bigger concern than downloads. For the Covid/work from home, we use a VDI solution which avoids having to download/upload large files. Looking forward to the new service that will be configured this week as there are so many positive reviews. Fingers crossed!

Very reliable, never had an issue – Been with them for 1 year (50/20 unlimited). Local Perth service, when you ring them, you speak to a local who speaks english. A huge win in my book. No overseas call centres. Never had drop outs or issues. Bit more expensive compared to competitors, but worth it considering the reliability and service. Show details
