I loved my Exprelia HD8855/03. It's been with me for over 7 years, always making nice coffee until recently it can not dispense stream as well as hot water. Entered the test mode as per the service manual, found out that might be the problem of pump 2 which gave the output of 1p/s during the testing (DcV5 was on already).
Wanted to replace the "pump2" myself as I am just so bored under the lockdown in Melbourne. My question is what type of pump is that "pump2" and where can I ordered it?
Update: Repaired the pump2 (water/stream pump, 12001212 Ulka Pump Mf, Part Number 996530008003) by 2 days of googling.. with my lovely little daughter's help!!! :D The tricky part is to replace the "BIG O-ring" seating next on the piston, not the small one as mentioned in lots of youtube videos. The O-ring replacement comes from the O-ring set from Bunnings.
For the "BIG O-ring", please refer to external link

This is 1st time dissembling. To my surprise, the internal parts looks quite neat and elegant after 7 years. Hope it will last another 7 :)

Hello, our Exprelia HD8856 was working fine until we removed the brew group and washed it. When on the cappuccino setting, the milk comes through fine but when it’s the coffee’s turn, the grinding sounds happen (like normal before the milk comes out) and then it makes the sounds like the coffee will come out, but instead, it stops making any noise and says “water circuit priming”. I hope there is something we can do at home to fix it. We have tried to makes sure that nothing obvious is blocked and that the brew group is inserted properly. However, there is rarely an obvious clicking sound when it has been inserted. Hope this makes sense. Please help!
Hi Louise, sorry to hear that there seems to be an issue with your Saeco Coffee Machine. You can find some possible reasons and their troubleshoots here: external link . Machine start heating goes to rinse the stops and goes to water circuit priming
Are any other milk carafes compatible with this model? We recently got a machine but no milk frother. Replacements are also REALLY hard to find. Any suggestions?

My machines frip tray needs emptying after every 2nd coffee and it is full to overflowing each time. Whats going on?
Hi Janixe,, thank you for sharing this here. If this operation is performed when the machine is on, it will record the used grounds drawer emptying and will reset the counter; therefore, it is necessary to empty the coffee grounds as well. If this doesn't help, you can always reach out to us on one of our social media channels (Facebook or Twitter, @PhilipsCare). Our team is available 24/7 and is always happy to help. Alternatively, you're welcome to call us at 1300 363 391 (Mondays to Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:00 pm EST) for immediate assistance over the phone as well. We'll be looking forward to hearing from you!

My Saeco Exprelia machine refuses to operate until I satisfy the command "ADD COFFEE". However the coffee hopper has ample coffee beans in the storage hopper. After a few attempts the screen say "RE-START" which I also have done, but it still says "ADD COFFEE". Would you please advise as to the best way to fix this frustrating problem, Thank you. From Lee Rossetti, Broken Hill, NSW.
Hi Lee, thank you for sharing your experience - that does not sound like it should be happening. Could we ask you to reach out to us on one of our social media channels (Facebook or Twitter, @PhilipsCare), so we can look into the issue? Our team is available 24/7 and is always happy to help. To the Philips Australia Team re my problem with the Exprelia machine. Firstly I thank you for getting back to me on this. As I don't have Facebook, Twitter or even a PhilipsCare media avenue I will probably communicate with you via my Hotmail address or phone (0447 438 123). I bought the unit new (in 2013?) and I have religiously maintained the machine and in all that time until the present it has not missed a beat. When I press the Caffe function I can hear it seems the struggle in grinding and it also tries to grind the beans for an excessively longer time than normal. Then it tells me to 'ADD COFFEE'. I know that there appears to be no blockages, however it also tells me to re-start the machine, but when I do that it the displays an EO1 error. So if you could have a little more of a think about this or even give me a quick call to further discuss then I would be most appreciative. Thank you again. Best regards. Lee Rossetti.
Hi Lee, Thank you for coming back to us and elaborating on the issue. We can certainly understand how this is not what you'd expect after taking perfect care of the machine, and we've had a look at the issue following your comments. The E01 error message is most likely an indicator of the coffee funnel being blocked. Luckily, there is a solution to that - could you please follow the tips on this page: external link and let us know if that did the job? There is a video with detailed instructions as well!
Please feel free to come back to us in case the issues persist after you've done this, and we'll be happy to help you further!

I have loved my Saeco Exprelia EVO but the top hinge has broken. I have ordered the parts but can not find anyone to install it. I called the product service line and all they would tell me is to take it to a repair shop 90 miles away. Surely there is some place in Denver Colorado that can do this simple job or instructions on how to do it ourselves. I am not very happy as this is the SECOND time this has happened. The first time we exchanged it for a new one. How can we have this fixed so I can have my wonderful coffee from this unit?
Hi Lanna, thanks for reaching out to us and we're sorry to hear that the top hinge has broken for the second time. We're not sure if there is a repair shop closer to you than the one that our colleagues from the service line already gave you, but we would like to see if there are any alternatives available for you. Could you please contact us on 1-800-933-7876 or send us a message via Facebook or Twitter so one of our representatives can look into this for you.

My Expedia evo has the message " E 04 restart to solve the problem" but the problem persists. What else can I do to solve the problem?
Hi Tony, thanks for your question. We're sorry to see that you keep experiencing the E04 problem, we understand that's far from ideal. Apparently, the machine is blocked by dirt or not well locked into place. So let's see if we can help you get rid of the problem by sharing the following guidelines with you:
We advise you to take out the brew group, clean and grease it. When you place back the brew group, make sure that it is locked into place. It's important that you lock it into place because if it's not, the E04 message will not disappear. Before you restart the machine, push the brew group into place until you hear a soft click that tells you it is locked.
How to set the brew group in the rest position and make sure it is locked.
1. Switch off the machine and remove the brew group.
2. Make sure that the brew group is set to the neutral position before you place it back.
- The lever must be in contact with the brew group base. If this is not the case, push the lever down into the correct position.
- Check that the two arrowheads on the side of the brew group match.
- Push the locking hook on the side upwards until you hear a soft click.
3. Insert the brew group and push it back until you hear a soft click.
4. Double check if the brew group is locked into place by softly trying to pull it out without pushing the push button.
5. Close the service door and switch the machine back on.
Following these steps should help. If not, we advise you to reach out to our specialists on 1300 363 391 if you're located in Australia or 0800 658 224 if you're located in New Zeland. You can always reach out to us on Facebook and Twitter (@PhilipsCare) as well. Good luck!

The Philips Australia Team
I have a Saeco Exprelia Evo. Overall, I like the machine a lot. But now stuck with an issue. I have descaled, lubricated and cleaned brew unit as directed. But it keeps grinding the coffee, then A WATER CIRCUIT PRIMING alert comes out, it blows air but no coffee is made ... any solution?
Hi there, Thank you for your question. There's a few things that might be the reason why your Saeco machine shows this message. Luckily, there's a few things you can try yourself to fix this issue. First we'd like for you to check if there might be a coffee bean stuck underneath the water tank. Furthermore, you can also try and see if the coffee funnel is blocked, or if adjusting the grind setting might help. It's quite a lot of information, so we'd like for you to have a look on our support-page for your Saeco machine. You can find it here: external link .
If these tips don't fix the issue, please feel free to either call us on 1300 363 391 if you're based in Australia, or 0800 658 224 if you're based in New Zealand. Alternatively, you can reach out to us on Facebook or Twitter.
